Sienna's P.O.V
The unexpected fact that Pan was willing to let me out of Neverland had taken me by surprise and, the more I struggled to understand why, the more furious and frustrated I got.

Since the beginning, Pan had shown to have some sort of strong interest in me, and not only by his words, but by his actions too.

He'd made me fight, scream, cry; go mad. He'd shown many of Neverland's secrets to me. And not only he knew who my father was, but had also sent me to him, uncovering my past and answering infinite questions I'd had as far as I can recall... although creating new ones too.

He'd spoken to me. Listened to me. Locked me up. Understood me. Fought me. Comforted me. Imprisoned me. Confused me.

Kissed me.

And, through all this, he had managed to change the way I saw him. And he had done it so well, that I didn't even know how to see him as. The only thing I could make up among the turbulent mist of mixed feelings that was starting to embrace me was something so extremely dark and intense that frightened me to the point that I feared to lose it. To lose him.

And the mere fact that he was willing to lose me so lightly made me go completely crazy, wondering if that ardent feeling of mutual need only existed in my head.

Apparently, it did.

Pan was now standing in front of Jack and me, waving his hands over the moonlit grass time after time, casting a spell under his breath. With every second that went by, the weakest branches of the huge tree towering over us shook more violently due to the strong wind that was starting to awaken. On the other hand, a horrifying, vast, dark green hole was forming on the ground.

I shivered at the eerily familiar feeling; it looked exactly like the one I'd seen when Pan had given me that potion, and I had witnessed my own father leaving me inside it.

A portal. That hole was the portal that would guide me out of Neverland.

Forever.

"Are you ready?" Pan shouted, trying to make his voice clear over the strong winds.

"Where are Al and Wayne?" Jack asked before I could answer.

Pan grinned briefly. "Perfectly safe, back at the orphanage where you all used to live."

Jack nodded his head and laid a hand on my shoulder, whispering something in my ear, probably trying to comfort me. But I could hear nothing. All I could focus on was that horrific hole, and the mere thought that I would be inside it within a few minutes made me sick.

The powerful hurricane halted abruptly, and the clearing fell to utter silence once again.

Until Pan spoke up.

"Come here, Sienna."

I felt Jack's grip on my shoulder become tighter, but he eventually let me go; not before sending me a warning look. I nodded at him and started walking towards Pan, going around the green portal.

"Don't worry, love," he whispered once I was near enough.

I turned to face the horrifying hole, feeling his breath on my neck.

"It'll be brief."

He grabbed my forearm, leading me towards the portal. I took small steps forwards, feeling the fear increase in my chest. The more I approached the hole, the bigger and scarier it looked, like a vast abyss of despair where I'd drown in within seconds.

The toe of my worn shoes reached the edge and, for a moment, I feared Pan letting me go. I closed my eyes tightly.

This is all. Everything's going to end. When I wake up, it all will be like like it was before.

Like this was only a dream.

I opened my eyes again, exhaling slowly. I was ready.

Pan's P.O.V
She let out a deep sigh, letting her eyes wander the portal I'd created once again and, when her surprisingly serene eyes latched onto mine, I knew it was time to do it. I tightened my grip around her forearm, and she looked into the hole, determined.

"Now, Pan." she demanded, but her voice was fairly shaky.

I nodded at her, taking a final step towards the portal. I could feel her trembling, even though she tried with all of her might to stay strong.

A devious smirk crept into my lips.

I raised my free hand, pushing Sienna behind me and away from the portal. Jack came flying towards me, his neck on my hand as his confused eyes met mine. His feet were hovering over the deep, menacing hole, and all his courage and defiance had turned into helplessness.

"What are you doing?" Sienna shrieked from behind, trying to grab my arm.

Within a mere second, I lowered Jack violently, removing my hand from his neck and stepping back. Sienna let go another yell running to catch Jack's hands before he fell into the hole. Jack was now grabbing the edge with all his might, but the portal was too forceful.

"Did you really thought it would be that easy, Lost Girl?" I asked raising my voice, for strong winds were awakening again. "Or perhaps I shouldn't call you that."

Sienna ignored my comment, trying to pull Jack out of the portal, tears threatening to fall down her cheeks.

"Are you crazy?" she cried madly. "Stop it, stop it now!"

She turned her head slightly, shooting me a threatening look over her shoulder.

"No, Sienna," I answered calmly, any trace of amusement leaving my features. "I'm not stopping it."

Sienna turned round again frustratedly, pulling Jack towards her in vain.

"As I was saying," I continued. "You have two options. One, fall into that portal with your dear friend Jack, not knowing where you're going to end up –or if you will survive at all."

Sienna shouted in agony, still facing away from me. Her hands were starting to sweat, slipping off Jack's, and her strength would soon fade.

"Or two, let him fall. Alone."

This time, Sienna turned her head to me, her eyes widening in terror and disbelief.

"Never." she spat through gritted teeth.

My gaze hardened at her words. "If I were you, I wouldn't say that so lightly." I replied with the same anger.

I walked up to them and bent down, approaching my lips to her delicate skin.

"Choose, Lost Girl." I cooed into her ear.

"Sienna, let me go!" Jack begged suddenly. He was now grabbing only one of Sienna's hands. "We don't have to die both!"

Sienna shook her head, tears streaming down her eyes as she pulled Jack to her, but the portal was getting stronger within each second.

"No, no, that's not fair!" she yelled, turning to me. "You promised! You promised we'd be safe! Both of us!"

I stood still, with my implacable mask of sternness on. "Choose." I repeated.

"If you don't let me go, I will" Jack muttered below us with watery eyes, and he freed Sienna's hand.

"No!" Sienna shrieked, throwing herself forwards to grasp Jack's arm.

The boy that once held a spark of boldness and defiance in his eyes was now on the edge of defeat, with all hope lost. But, even then, he wanted to keep her safe.

"What will the decision be, Sienna?" I asked once more, now raising my voice.

Her body shook violently as her head turned to me again, locking her gaze with mine. The world around us slowed down as our eyes met each other in the most dark and intense look we'd ever shared; hers full of the most ardent hatred and ire, mine of intrigue and longing.

And, suddenly, in the middle of the vast but somehow distant chaos, something incredible and unexpected took place.

Jack's hand slipped through hers but, before the portal could disappear with the boy, an enormous and powerful wave of energy spread throughout the moonlit clearing, sending me flying backwards until my back hit the trunk of my tree.

Not energy, magic.

I opened my eyes drowsily, my head spinning and my heart racing. Sienna stood in the middle of the clearing, down on her knees, looking at her hands with an astonished and terrified expression. Terrified of herself.

I looked around, trying to find Jack, but the boy was nowhere to be seen. I slowly made my way up to my feet, but Sienna pointed at me menacingly.

"Don't come any closer," she warned.

I looked at her, still in shock, but tried to control my emotions before they could control me. "Sienna, calm down." I said, stepping towards her.

"No!" she cried with fear and rage. "I– I– what's happening to me?"

"It's called magic, Lost Girl" I said gently.

Her eyes widened and she frowned in anger. "Don't call me that!" she growled as she unwillingly sent another wave towards me, my back making contact with the tree again.

She backed away as more tears fell down her cheeks, looking around.

"Jack..." she muttered. "Jack! I killed him! He's gone, it was my fault! I killed him!"

Sienna fell to her knees, all the misery and the guilt coming down at her as a tidal wave. I stood up again, my back aching and my heart pounding in my chest.

How did I never see it in her?

I approached her from behind, bending down beside her. She was curled up in a ball, her arms around her knees and her head hidden in her arms.

"Listen, what you've just done... that's nothing ordinary, Sienna. You have magic in you."

She turned round immediately.

"Well, I don't want it!" she screamed, angered and frustrated. "I never asked for it!"

A strong wind awakened, shaking the trees and warning me that I should act with more caution.

"Sienna, that's not how it works..." I said, trying to lay my hand on her shoulder.

She backed away and, instantly the wind became more powerful. "No! Don't touch me!" she demanded, but her voice trembled inevitably. "Don't touch me..." she repeated, this time trailing off.

What have I done?

Sienna's P.O.V
I couldn't help but let more tears fall down my cheeks as I shook violently, trying not to lose the small sanity I still had.

The wind blew angrily, and I wondered if it was because of it... because of me.

I stood up difficultly, never breaking the eye contact with him.

I didn't understand anything of what had just happened, except for that Jack was dead and it was my fault. His green eyes pierced the deepest part of my soul, making me feel bare of strength as I fell apart right in front of him.

He was a demon, a bloody demon. And I couldn't help but cry and yell in frustration as I saw my biggest fear come true: I was exactly like him.

I turned round and took off towards the woods, running away from my fear, my strength, my courage. Running away from him.

And leaving a trace of cracked ground beneath my feet.
