I was walking home one day after work. I was getting home a little later then usual, so I was hoping that my son wouldn't decide to go off with his friends and cause trouble.
It was refreshing to see that he was just sitting in the living room with a couple of friends. I took off my jacket and hung it on the coat rack before I approached the boys.
"Hey boys, did you all have a nice day at school?" I asked them as I patted the top of my son's head.
"Yeah! We met our new friend Logan today!" My son chimed up.
"That's so nice to hear, you should have your new friend over sometime," I smiled.
"Your so silly, mom! He's alrighty here!" He laughed as he pointed at a shadow sitting next to him. A shadow that didn't have a body to go with it.
