I cant believe alena wants to go to California well that's what i do on my birthday. I walked out of the room to call my dad hopefully he wont be busy.
James dad: hello
James: hey dad
James dad: hey james aren't you supposed to be at school right now.
James: well yeah you see we where at school and me and alena were walking back to our table. When madison bumped into us on purpose and got me and alena dirty with cake. So we came home for the rest of the day once me and Alena changed. I asked her what she wanted to do today. An it turned every year since her moms death she went and visit the grave. So she wants to go today.
James dad: So you want to know if its okay if you two go to California. Uh... you don't make being a parent very easy do you james? Yes james you guys can go stay they until thursday morning. So you guys can be back by that night. Then you guys can sleep in till friday morning that afternoon i need to tell you and Alena something important. So ill take all friday off i call the school and tell them you two wont be at school all this week. But i want you to make sure you two are passing. You two need to graduate this year or so help me i will kill you.
James: thank dad your the best and don't worry about us alena is smart. And so am i we will graduate this oh and did you put insurance on the dodge charger. An i need you to put more money on the card.
James dad: yes i did put insurance on it i just got it for your birthday. And sure i put more money on your card for essential and emergency. So ill just put two hundred twenty-five grand in there.
James: thank dad for the birthday gift and forever thing well i talk to you later we have a while drive ahead of us.
James dad: sure james anything for you are my son and be careful that car might have full coverage but doesn't mean i want you to use it. Make sure to check in with me but not while driving talk to you later bye james

I headed back inside the room to tell Alena the plan. But leave out my dad needing to tell us something important, she has enough to deal with. I guess she was really happy they we get to stay there longer. I packed the rest of my clothes i was going to bring a jacket but eh i can take it. We got outside and to the car her face was priceless. It was true what i told her she is priceless. Once she sang in the car i saw her put on my jacket. She looks so adorable in it i like how she grabbed my hand to hold while she drifted off to sleep.

Alena wake up were getting close we have an hour and half drive. I stopped at a gas station so we can buy snacks. She finally woke up after a couple minutes she did a yawn. It look like a little kitten it was adorable." Where are we"? We are a hour and half drive from California. "Why did we stop"? We need to get gas can you go put thirty on my gas tank and you can get whatever you want. "Yeah sure ill be right back".

Alena Pov
I was woke up from my peaceful sleep when james started waking me up. I didn't want to get out the car but i knew james had it worse. Since he's been driving all this time. So i grabbed his card an went inside. I picked out some candy and a soda to wake me up. I got james some to i went to the counter it was an old man. There he was shamelessly checking me out. Can you hurry up and finish checking my items out so i can hurry up and leave. "Uh right sorry here you go". Oh put thirty on pump eight. I swipe the card total came up with. The gas to forty-five i hurry to swipe the card and left. I got back into the car while james was just fueling up. Once he got in i handed him his card and receipt. "Thank you". Sure anytime but next time can we not stop by this gas station. "Why"? That ugly, smell old man was checking me out and took forever to ring me up. "Yeah sure next time we stop ill get off with you. But we probably wont stop until we get there". Okay then i bought you some snacks. I gave him the dr.peper and the gummy worms. We continue driving and an hour a half we got here. It was seven o'clock by the time we made it. James ended up having us go check us into a hotel. So once we pulled up to the valet looked at us weird but non the less. Took the car and the bellhop took our bags from the back seat. James gave him a tip while i gave him a smile great ful smile. James and i headed to the front desk. Yes hello can we get a room for three nights. I told lady at the front desk with caked makeup on. And shameless checking out james. "I'm sorry miss but i don't think someone of your standards. Can even afford a shampoo bottle here". James wraps his arm around my waist care ful not to hurt me. "I don't like how your talking my girlfriend I'm james Anderson. Son of Jason Anderson the one who owns this hotel. An signs your pay check every two weeks. So now would you be more then happy, to show us to our suit on the top floor". Her mouth was hanging open and she studier a bit while saying yes sir and right away sir. It was hilarious to see she did things on her computer then gave us two key cards. Here you go sir your room is on the top floor and its number 250. When she gave him the card her hand was shaking. He was about to walk away with me but not before i pulled him closer and gave him a kiss on the check. Right in front of the girl i went down from my tippy toes. And looked at the girl before smirking and walking away with james by my side. Once me and james got to the elevator and the doors closed. We both burst out laughing. Wow james does your dad really does own this hotel? "Yeah my mom she always like to travel. So when they would always stay in a hotel. Instead of waisting money on someone else hotel. Why not on his hotel so he made a hotel on the side". I would of added on more but the elevator dinged. Ending any responds i may have. We walked to our room in a comfortable silence. Once at the door, james put the key card in to unlock the door. When the door opened i was in a state of shock it was beautiful.
I love everything about this place its amazing. I ran and jumped on the bed which was really bouncy. As much fun as this is we need to get going. We need to go its seven we still need to go pick up something before we go there. "Okay lets head out". Once me and james got our stuff put away. We headed out into the lobby so we can get james car. Once our car pulled up with the valet driving it. "Do you want to drive since i don't know, this place we have to stop by". Yeah sure. I get into the drivers seat once james buckled. His seat belt i shifted the gear into fourth. And we sped off to the meadow. We got there in record time ten minutes to be exact. I parked on the dirt the road. To my left was a meadow of wild flowers. It was just as beautiful as i remember. I picked daisy,sunflowers an my and my mothers favorite. A purple with white tulip it was so pretty. With the help of james we picked out a dozen different colors. As we finished we goy back in the car we fell into a silence. Expect when i gave james direction to the grave yard. We arrived in fifteen minutes slowly getting out i follow the path. To my mothers grave next to a big beacon tree. I sit down crisscrossing while, i feel james standing behind me. Watching me he hands me the flower, an i arrange them in a nice order. I know james is listening but i dont care anymore. I just let anything spill out of me. Since last time i was here telling her about another year with my dad. How james is pretty amazing while i let my heart out. I didn't know someone was holding me an, wiping as much tears as possible. I look up from the grave that i see james, looking at me with a sad expression. Good bye mom ill try to visit soon,i love an i hope you are happy where ever you are. James do you think you can carry me back to the car. I don't think i can move very much. "Sure i'd be happy to". He picked me up bridal style, i leaned my head into his shoulder. He walked back to the car an put me in. I was going to put on the seat belt. But i guess i was taking to long so he put it on for me. I heard him close my door while he went to get in himself. James drove out of the grave yard to our hotel. I was staring out the window thinking of all the good memories. I shared with my mom. Especially all the times we would play in the meadow. With my dad an have nice relaxing picnics he was really a sweet man. Always picking me up when i falling, whipping away my tears. It broke my heart for him to spiral down. Once i saw the hotel double doors i knew i didn't want to walk. I guess james knew that to. Because i saw james hand the keys to the valet. An come to my door an pick me up i there was a group of people watching us. So i snuggled mt head into james shoulder so i can hid. James people our watching me please help me. "Its okay princess i will. If everyone near us values there job i would quit staring"! I pecked out of james shoulder to see what happened. Everyone scrambled away to look at the ground. Like it was the most interesting thing in the world. James walked to the evaluator an took me to our room. All i want to do now is change an go into bed with james. He put me on the bed. I got up an went to my dresser an i changed in the restroom. When i came out james was already undressed in his boxer i didn't spare a second glaces. I hopped into bed i heard the restroom door close. I knew james went in after a while i heard the door open an the bed dip in. I turned around so i could snuggle into james more. He rapped his arm around me. As i drifted off i heard james whisper. "My poor princess if i could i would take all your pain away an give it to myself. So you wont have to feel it. I love you an if i have to spend the rest, of my life trying to make you happy i will. An that's a promise i tend to keep". That was probably thing that could make me happy. I drifted off with a much needed smile after today.

I woke up to someone shaking me. "Alena wake up its nine o'clock". I woke up to james right next to my face. Good morning james. "Good morning alena i didn't know if you want to go out. An have breakfast or room service". Its alright james let's go out i know this little place near the beach. "Okay cool well i already showered an dress. So if you want you can go shower an dress then we can head out". Yeah sure let me go grab my stuff ill be right out. I grabbed my underclothes it wasnt to cold like back home. So i went with some high wasit shorts a long sleeve.
It felt weird wearing my old clothes again after the abuse i wouldn't. Dress like this anymore because i always had to hide the bruises. But now it felt good being my self again i just hope james doesn't get mad. I walked out of the restroom after brushing my teeth, an putting on my eyeliner an mascara. I'm all healed so i don't have to wear any foundation or anything. Once walking out james turned hearing the door close. His jaw dropped to the ground in utter shock. I was starting to get uncomfortable so i cleared my throat. Kinda loudly so i can snap him out of it. He blinked an went back to normal i grabbed my purse, really quick an threw the essential in. An headed out the door with james. I held his hand with mine. He gave it a little squeeze an held on. Once we got outside our car was their waiting for us. The valet was a guy about a year or two younger. He gave me a good one or two look over. An gave me a creepy smile. I heard a loud grow next to me an i see james right their. Which looked like he was going to pee himself. We got in and speed to where we were going. Once giving him direction to the dinner we got their in no time. Once we got into after james was a gentleman. An open the car door it was a dinner and cafe mixed. My only friend work here back when i still lived here. So i guess its one of the reason why i wanted to come. The other reason is they make the best frappucino. We walked in. Alena!! Was heard from a male voice behind the counter. Derek!! It was one of my best friends here. Well only friend here weve been friends since. Second grade it was nice to see him again. He looks good after all this time golden locks with sea green eyes. He took off to get our order we sat down at a two person table. Hames an i sat there until i finally spoke. So derek doesn't he seem nice. "Yeah really nice anyway what do want to do today". Well i was hoping we could go to the beach an surf. After being in that small town made me miss the beach. "Yeah sure we can go to the beach after this". By the time that was done i changed into the bathroom of the mall. James pulled up in his car. An got out to open the door his jaw dropped when he first saw me. I loved when he has that reaction from me. Once he got in the car we drove off to the unknown we to me. After a short ten minute drive we stopped at another one of my favorite. Its this amazing grill an bar type of restaurant. They sell everything from sushi to steak an any drink you can imagine. Sometimes when i stilled lived here derek an i use to always come here. With mom an dad of course mom being the coolest, she would always slip us some of her drinks. The memory brought tears to my eyes. But i quickly hid them my mom would, want me to be happy no matter what. James pulled open the door open for me an, offered his hand so i can clim out. As we got inside the lady at the door brought us to our table. She was in her early twenty's an, had too short of a min skirt an a white v neck crop top. With striper heals on she was trying so hard to flirt with james. But in the end her flirting landed on deaths door. Small part of me would believe why wouldn't she. He looked extra god like tonight he wore tight fitting jeans that showed off his. Extraordinary butt a white button up long sleeve, that had it rolled up to his elbows. He also wore some nice old man shoes but to him some how made him look even better. Afyer we talked an ate thankfully we got a guy waiter who was checking me out. The whole time he was taking the order. I got the grilled shrimp salad an a lemonade on the side. While james got the t-bone steak with a salad on the side with a dr.peper to go with. After an delicious dinner james paid the table which wasn't to bad. I would have known i checked the bill James he kinda just swipes. Once we got in the car james drove i thought after that we were going to the hotel. But james took a surprise turn to the beach. He parked an once again being the extraordinary person he is opened the door for me. As we got to the beach we walked. But then james all of a sudden stopped me an put a blanket down. That i just realized he has been carrying. I sat down next to him but james wasn't having it. He put me on his lap so i can be closer to him. Well anderson i have to say this was a the best slash first date I've ever been on. "Wow Rodriguez's I'm flatter but its still not over yet". I was going to ask what he meant but, my words got lost when he captured my lips. It was perfect but it ended all to fast. "I have something for you an something to ask you". He pulled out a box from his back pocket. Once i opened it i gasped inside was the most beautiful necklace i ever saw.
This was my mothers i want to ask you something Alena Marie Rodriguez. Will you be my girlfriend i know you've had a tough couple of years. After some time james got up with me in his hands i grabbed the blanket. James wanted to just leave it but what a waist. So as he walked backed to the car i shook the blanket. So i can get as much sand as i can, once loaded in the car he drove back to the hotel. I guess this day wore me out more then i thought. I felt someone pick me up i got scared. But then i heard james soft voice. "Shh princess its okay, I'm right here no one is going to hurt you". I relaxed back into him. I felt him put me on the bed its was so comfortable. But not this dress so i got up much to my sadness. I went to the restroom with clothes an changed an took off all my makeup. An brushed my teeth i just wore a sports bra an a tank with sleeping shorts. James was already changed an went to the restroom. He came out an dipped into bed with me. I made sure to put james necklace in the night stand that was right next to me. We cuddled up together i fell asleep but not before i told james goodnight. Goodnight my boyfriend. "Goodnight my princess, angel an girlfriend".

After i dropped off alena my day was spent getting everything ready for tonight. An it couldn't have came out more perfect i got my princess. She is now an always will be my princess. I just hope whatever my dad tells us we will be okay. Once we got back to the hotel i picked her up but she got freaked. But a few soothing words calmed her. After that amazing day it felt so good just going to sleep with her. As i fell asleep with her in my arms where shes safe with me. I couldn't think of any even perfect way to end the day. With the girl i love an my new an first girlfriend. After a few moment i drifted of to a peaceful night sleep.
