I rewrote the last few chapters. To avoid confusion, I recommend re-reading the last 3 chapters.
Skye
I woke up, my alarm buzzing as loud as ever.
I sighed.
Then, smiled.
Hoping that what happened last night wasn't just a dream.
Then, I frowned.
Today was February 14.
It's Jason and I's 4 year anniversary.
I couldn't even be bothered to get up.
But, I have a job to do.
And I need to money so that I can move out.
I stood up and looked in the mirror.
I saw dried tears stuck on my face.
I hadn't even notice them.
"You should be over him by now." I whispered to myself.
I wiped my eyes, then threw some clothes on.
A sweatshirt and some leggings.
Then, I walked into the bathroom.
I don't want to wear any makeup today.
I sighed, then walked downstairs.

I sat down at my desk, then took my phone out.
I had 133 messages.
All.
From.
Them.
My breath became ragged.
On any other day, this wouldn't affect me this much.
But, the clock ticks, days past.
The sun stops for no one.
I closed my eyes, then remembered my song.
The song I wrote while crying in my car.
I shut my door, then walked over to the wall.
I closed the blinds.
After curling up into the corner, I started singing the song.
(BTW I wrote the song, so, sorry that it sucks.
Just pretend that it's good.)
The weather outside is lovely.
The clouds are gone and it's sunny.
Everything was going great,
But I guess you didn't relate.
I don't know where I went wrong.
So, that's why I wrote this song.
Was I just a thing to you?
Oh, I wish, I wish I knew.
When I opened up our door,
I didn't know we were done for.
I ran out to find my car
This is the worst, the worst by far.
Then I left, I left, you see.
Only to find out, you never loved me.
Now I lost all of my friends,
So, I guess this is the end...
I took another deep breath in slowly calming down.
I need something to drink.
I got up and went to the kitchen.
After using the Keurig to make myself some hot chocolate, I walked back towards my office.
But I noticed a bright pink thing on my desk.
It was a post it note.
L e a v e R e d A l o n e
I stared at the paper.
Then, I heard a knock at my door.
I turned around, hiding the paper within my hands.
"Hey, Skye." Red looked at me suspiciously.
I gave an awkward smile.
"I'm doing a video on my channel, and Ross was supposed to be in it. But he's sick. So I was wondering if you wanted to be in the video?"
"I-"
"I'll do it." Bri said.
I looked at the ground.
"I mean, unless you want to do it Skye." She said.
It clicked.
I knew she liked Red.
She wrote the note.
I crinkled the paper in my hand, getting angrier by the second.
"Sure. You can do it, Bri."
I took a silent breath in, causing me to stop crinkling the paper.
"Okay. See you at the video, Bri."
Bri turned around then left.
I blinked, but keeping my eyes closed for a moment longer.
Today is the 14th.
It's Valentine's Day.
Forget about him.
Forget about them.
I opened my eyes to see Red was still here.
"Skye?"
"Yeah?"
"What are you holding?"
"Oh, it's nothing."
"Skye? What. Are. You. Holding."
"Just a paper."
"Then hand it over."
I looked up at Red, trying to convince myself to do what I should.
"Skye, please." He said.
I took a deep breath in, then put the pink paper in the shredder.
"Skye!"
He looked at the shredder.
I wiped my eyes.
I guess Red noticed.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing." I shook my head.
"Skye. Are you okay?"
I nodded, but my eyes were full of tears.
I turned around then wiped them.
When I turned back around, Red was right in my face.
I closed my eyes, but opened them a few seconds later.
Red opened his arms, and I collapsed into them.
"It's okay, it's okay."
I told myself that I wouldn't cry.
But sometimes you have to.
"What's wrong?"
Should I tell him?
I decided to give Red part of the truth.
He deserved that at least.
We sat down in the corner of my office.
My head resting on his shoulder.
"You know when we were in target? And you asked me why I moved here?"
"Yeah?"
"Well, I don't know if you recall, but I said I moved here a few months ago."
Red pulled me in closer to him, encouraging me to go on.
"I moved here with my boyfriend, Jason. I guess he's my ex now. Anyway, today would be our anniversary."
"How many?"
"We would've been dating for 4 years."
"He asked you out on Valentine's Day?"
I nodded.
"Red? We have to shoot the video now." Brianna walked in. "Oh, hey Skye."
"Hey, Bri." Red said. "You'll be okay?"
I nodded.
"You look tired." Red replied.
I gave a small chuckle.
"You're not supposed to say that to a woman."
Red laughed.
"See you soon."
Once Red walked out, Bri walked up to me.
"I thought I told you to stay away from him." Bri said. "Are we clear?"
I nodded. "Crystal."
Bri walked out, a grin forming on her face.
I sighed, then went on my computer.
I guess I should look for apartments now.
