"What are you doing in here?" You whisper-yelled at the white-haired boy who was in your lab. "Who said you could touch that? Put it back!" You told him.
Pietro turned around quickly, with a scared expression on his face. "Sorry." He told you.
"Why are you in my lab? Get out!" You told him, you never cared for that boy.
"FRIDAY, did he mess anything up?" You asked, irritated.
"No, (Y/N), I could not figure out what he was doing." The AI told you.
"Probably messing around. That's all he seems to do." You groaned.
"Do you realize it is three am?" FRIDAY asked.
"Yeah, can't sleep." You shrugged, not even feeling tired at all.
"Would you like me to awaken Mr. Stark and help you get to sleep?"
"Nah, I'm not tired. All I can think about is finishing the project." You said. You, Tony, and Bruce had really wanted to work on a way to heal people or even save lives. After what happened in Sokovia with Pietro, he was lucky that there was a way to bring him back. You don't like him whatsoever, but it was an eye-opener. There weren't always going to be easy ways to save people, so you told Bruce and Tony of your idea. And it's all you have been working on for months.
"Things like this take time." You groaned when you heard the familiar voice.
"Yes, thanks, Tony. But it's been months. Someone is going to get hurt, and it won't be ready, and we won't be able to save them. I need to get this finished." You turned around.
"You haven't been sleeping lately. If you go get some sleep, I promise we will get this done soon."
You cocked an eyebrow. "FRIDAY, I told you not to tell Tony!"
"He asked; I am sorry," FRIDAY responded.
"You've been staying up so late thinking about this project. What is going on?" Tony asked you.
You quickly answered. "Nothing. I'll go to bed."
You couldn't fall asleep, but Tony didn't know that. The next morning, he sent Pietro to wake you up, and Pietro was kind of scared to go talk to you.
He knocked on your door and opened it after a second.
"Tony says you need to wake up." Pietro Asus.
"Tony isn't my fricking dad."
"It is almost two in the afternoon."
"I don't really care." You said, and then you realized who you were talking to.
"Okay, I'll leave you-"
"Wait." You sat up, and Pietro was looking right at you. "What were you doing in the lab last night? You never answered me."
"It... it was nothing," Pietro said.
You sighed. "Can you tell Tony to give me ten minutes?"
"Sure," Pietro said. And when he walked into Tony's lab, Pietro could see the cheesy smile on Tony's face.
"What?" Pietro laugh.
"You two in love yet?"
"Love?" Pietro asked. "They hate me."
"But, you don't hate 'em?" Tony smiled.
Pietro shyly shook his head. "No, I do not hate them."
"I knew it," Tony said to himself. "So, what were you doing in the lab last night?"
Pietro sighed. "I had an idea for... for, uh, your project." He said.
"You're lying," Tony said. "You're making something for (Y/N), aren't you?" He asked.
Pietro nodded a little bit. "They haven't been getting much sleep lately; I want to help."
"Why does (Y/N) hate you?" Tony asked.
Pietro shrugged. "I am annoying, apparently."
"I annoy them too; I bet they're hiding something, like feelings. But they're too afraid to admit it, to even themselves. But that's just my opinion." Tony smiled and turned around to look at his computer. "You need help with making this thing; this is the one time I'll be open to helping you for real, Maximoff."
"You ready to work, Tony- oh. Hi Pietro." You said.
"I was just going..." Pietro said, and he ran off.
"Did you finally get some sleep?" Tony asked you.
You shrugged. "Maybe, four hours?"
Tony shook his head. "It's better than three."
When Pietro ran out, he felt really bad about it. He felt horrible that you hated him. He felt awful that he couldn't do anything to help you out. He just wanted to make sure you were alright.
And it's even harder for him when you two are the same age; his crush just grows and grows. But your hatred grows and grows, and that creates a slight problem.
"Watch where you're going, kid." Steve laughed when Pietro ran into him from thinking too much. "You seem troubled. (Y/N) again?"
Pietro sighed. "You are supposed to not bring them up. You are even lucky Wanda told you about that...but, yes."
"Let's talk." Steve smiled.
"(Y/N), what do you think about Pietro?" Tony asked you as the two of you were working.
"Pietro? Uh, we don't get along very well. I don't really like him." You shrugged, doing more math on trying to figure out how everything works. "Why do you ask?"
"Because I think you like him," Tony said.
"We can't stand each other, Tony. Last night I caught him in here taking things off my desk." You groaned.
"Do you realize you blush every time the two of you talk?" Tony smiled to himself.
"I don't blush around him." You were seriously starting to get annoyed with Tony. "I told you, I can't stand him!"
"I think that you thinking you don't like him is just a cover for your secret crush," Tony said.
"That's ridiculous." You scoffed.
"Then, tell me every detail of what you don't like about him," Tony said.
You rolled your eyes. "He annoys me so much."
"Detail."
"Well, I always find him, he... he talks a lot. He doesn't know when to stop. Plus, him taking my stuff- it's so annoying!"
"That's all?" Tony laughed.
"Screw you. We'll work later." You crossed your arms and walked out of the lab, back to your room.
You started to think about what Tony had told you, and it was like you had the devil and angel on your shoulders. One was saying that Tony is right, and you really like Pietro. But the other was saying that Pietro is horrible, and you hate him.
You were snapped out of this thought when there was a knock at your door. It was almost eleven, and you couldn't sleep again. Who would be up, trying to get your attention right now?
You opened the door to find Pietro. His ears must have been hot. "Can I help you?" You asked.
"I know you've been having trouble sleeping," Pietro started. "And I know you don't like me, but I wanted to see if I could help any." Pietro put his hands up, and he was holding a box. You let him in your room to set it down, and he pressed a button. It began to play music, calming music. "Music always seems to calm you down...so I thought a music box would help. I made it...I mean, Stark helped me some but...yeah." Pietro trailed off.
You do like him! You don't hate him; he's not actually that bad! Just because he can be a tad annoying doesn't mean he's a bad guy; everyone can be annoying! One side yelled.
But, that stupid white hair. Was the only other side's argument.
You smiled. "Thank you, Pietro, so much. You don't know how much this means to me."
"You know, I do not hate you," Pietro told you.
"Oh, man, I am so glad." You giggled, and grabbed his cheeks for a kiss. The Pro Pietro side was definitely louder than the anti.
