Chapter 20: I don't like kissing you
What?
I don't think getting a fight was that bad and why would Aiden even be in here with me?
"I don't understand." Aiden says to Mr.James.
"Over the past week, the both of you have gotten into trouble, a number of times."
He wasn't wrong. However, I still don't understand why we were here together.
"First, you both disrupt class and when you get kicked out, you skip class for the rest of the day. A matter of fact, you both have skipped classes more than three times in the past seven days. You both have shown public displays of affection with each other and others. You've been smoking and drinking on school property and, Corey over her just told a teacher to screw herself and then got in a fight!"
I just sat there in shock. I really didn't know what to say. I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out.
"Anyway you can prove this?" Aiden asked smartly. Mr.James have him a 'Don't push it' look.
"So here's what going to happen. You both are going to stay in the library after school helping Ms.Harrison starting Monday."
What?!
"What do you mean by 'starting Monday'?" I asked him.
"Oh, you'll be doing it everyday for a month." A month?!
No! No! No!
"Oh come on!"
"Its final. If you think I'm lying please go a head and try me. I'll just be forced to suspend you both."
This is great. This is just wonderful. Aiden and I got up and walked out of the room without another word spoken. When we got inside the hallway, Aiden turned towards me.
"What are you doing later?"
"I'll be with Peyton, but I have lunch now." He smiled.
"Perfect." He took my hand and led me to his car. I know we had lunch but I don't think it was good to leave the property.
"I don't think this is a good idea, Aiden." I told him as we got in the car.
"It's fine, I'll have you back before the bell."
Fine. He drove out of the parking lot and I started thinking about the places he could be taking me.
Once we pulled up to the woods forty five minutes later, I knew where he was taking me.
He led me through the woods until we came across the lake. It's was just as beautiful the last time he took me here.
I remember him telling me that he came here to think. When I looked over at him, I saw him staring at the lake in thought. "What are you thinking about?" I asked him. He looked up at me.
"Do you want the truth?" I stared at him for a while. He wasn't talking about his thoughts, he was talking about my confusion. He was asking if I wanted to know what was going on for the past week.
I nodded my head. "Yeah I do."
He sighed. "Okay. About three years ago, I developed a crush on this girl. This girl had developed a crush on me too. I really really liked this girl. In fact, I admitted to have fallen in love with her. So, once we started dating, I spent every singe moment with her. I really did love her."
Aiden, in love? I would've never thought about that. Who could have possibly stolen the heart of Aiden Praxston?
"What was her name?" I asked.
He looked back at the lake. "Naomi."
Naomi......
That's the girl that texted him yesterday. She was coming tomorrow.......
She was also the 'N' on that tree that had 'A+N'. How cute.
But, this doesn't have anything to do with why he hated Peyton and why he started to act different last week.
"What happened?" He was still looking down at the water.
"One night, I caught her cheating."
"Oh." I replied softly. I don't know what that feels like but I can only imagine. I don't think anyone ever deserves to be betrayed or cheated on.
"I was upset. I was also mad. I went crazy just thinking about it. After that, I slept with her but she didn't know that I knew. I intended to do what she did to me. After I slept with her, I told her I never wanted to see her again. I told her that I didn't want her in my life and that she meant nothing to me. I broke her heart just like she broke mine."
Wow. I understand, though. He was hurt.
"Wow. I'm really sorry."
"It didn't even end there. It turns out her brother found out that his sisters heart got broken and he wanted to teach the jerk a lesson. When Peyton figured out I was the one who broke his sisters heart, he swore he would get me back. But he never did."
"Peyton is Naomi's brother?" I was shocked. Peyton never told me. Plus she was coming tomorrow. Where has she been anyway?
"What did you do then?"
Aiden looked at me again. "I promised I would never fall in love again. I didn't care for other people's feelings, so I grew a reputation. I use girls and then I throw them away. I wasn't proud at first but it became a habit. However, lately I've only been doing it on certain circumstances." I was about to ask him what he meant but he spoke again. "We should probably get back."
I nodded my head and as I was about to walk off, I saw a huge bug resting on a leave. I jumped back and let out a scream.
Aiden chuckled behind me and I realized that he was holding on to me. Probably because I jumped back on him.
"Your such a girl." He laughed. "It's just a bug."
"You know I hate bugs." My second voice came out. "God, I hate them."
He continued laughing and we made our way back to the car.
Now I knew the story. But something didn't seem right. Something still didn't make sense. There was a part that he still wasn't telling me.

I had my head on Peyton's shoulder as we were sitting on the couch. His arm was around my waist and we were watching some action movie.
"What happened to you during lunch? I didn't see you with Jackson."
"Oh I was with Aiden." I replied simply.
"Should I be jealous?"
"No. Me and Aiden are just friends."
"Ok. So, would it be okay if I took you camping over the weekend?"
I've never been camping. It seemed cool. I guess the only part that I would hate is all the bugs. Other than that, It would be pretty fun.
"Sure. It would just be me and you?" He shrugged.
"You can invite Jessie, Jackson, even Aiden if you want to."
Aiden? Why would he want Aiden to come. "Are you sure about Aiden? You guys can't even be in the same room together. What if you guys murder each other and then a bear comes to eat the remains of you both?" I rambled.
Peyton laughed. "Your so adorable." He squeezed my cheeks. "But Aiden is your friend. I'm willing to try for you."
Is it just me or is Peyton getting more sweet by the minute.
"Awww." He smiled at me. I poked his dimples. "Your the adorable one."
"Are you trying to argue with me?" He asked in a playful tone. He picked me up sideways and started to spin me around. I couldn't help but to start laugh. He set me on my feet again and I recovered from my laughter.
Peyton was just staring at me intently. Before I could process what was happening, I felt Peyton's lips on mine.
Holy shit.
I quickly started to move my lips with his. The kiss wasn't rough or heavy, it was gentle and passionate.
Our lips moved together in rhythm and I felt his tongue against my lips, wishing access into my mouth. I parted my lips and as soon as did, his tongue started exploring my mouth.
I couldn't stop the moan that escaped my mouth. This caused a groan from Peyton.
When we finally parted, we were both breathing heavy.
Oh my god.....Peyton just kissed me.
He just stole my first kiss.
"That was your first kiss, wasn't it?" He asked me still out of breathe. I nodded my head. "That was fucking amazing."
He smiled at me. I couldn't help but smile back.

Someone was shaking me. I was really going to punch Jessie in his face.
"Biscuit, if you don't wake up, I'm going to sit on you." I quickly opened my eyes to look at him.
"Alright, I'm up." I sat up on the bed before Jessie told me to hurry up.
I got up and went through my morning routine before joining Jessie downstairs.
We were eating cereal when I spoke. "Peyton's taking me camping over the weekend. You can come along if you want."
"Sure I'm in." He replied while his face was filled with food. Gross.
"Eww. Nobody wants to see your chewed up cereal." He opened his mouth wide, showing me his nasty breakfast.
I laughed. "Your disgusting." We finished our breakfast and we made our way to school.
As I was sitting in the passengers seat of Jessie's car, a thought came to mind. It was Wednesday. I feel like I was suppose to remember something important about today, but I couldn't put my finger on it.
As we reached school, I spotted Jackson at his locker. He was talking to a girl. She looked familiar but that thought went away as she walked away and I approached Jackson.
"There's my marshmallow." He hugged me.
"Hey Jay. Who was that girl you were talking to?" I teased him.
He smiled. "She's new." Jackson wasn't bad when it came to girls. I'll admit, he was pretty hot, and he was extremely sweet and funny. If he wasn't so close to me, I think I would totally have fallen for him a long time ago. "And, her names Naomi."
