25. Logan
I had given Oliver, my bèta, the order to tell everyone that I changed my mind. I was wondering if my parents knew anything about what happened. I hoped they didn't, because I would have a lot of problems if they had heard. My father would think, I was a coward, because I wanted to sacrifice myself for Axelle. You simply couldn't do the best for everyone. I only wanted to do the best for Axelle.
Together, we laid on the couch. Her legs were thrown over my legs and her head was against my chest. My hand was touched her back. " I ... I need to go to my parents and tell them what happened " She said quietly. It was almost like she was talking to herself. Yet, I answered her. " They will know already what happened. "
Axelle looked up at me. " But maybe they didn't " She got off my lap and said: " And I think it's better if I go home. I don't want to upset them by being late " My just heald hart was already breaking because of her words. She wasn't going to stay? How, what, Why? Had I done something wrong?
She probably saw my scared facial expression and kissed me, quickly, on my cheek. " I'm coming back tomorrow " I put on a fake smile. She was coming back. Good, but that didn't help me this moment. I didn't want to miss her, just when I got her back. How was I going to survive those hours? " Promise? " I asked her. I was almost sounding like a child on the moment. Yes, I admitted it. I was indeed sounded like a child who didn't get what he wanted. I didn't care that I sounded like that a the moment. She chuckled, before she nodded. " I promise " She walked out of the room. I ran behind her, till I reached the door and yelled: " Wait! I'm sending someone with you! "
She didn't answer me. I sended Oliver behind her. I hopped, he was on time. Otherwise, he would have some explaining to do. I went to the kitchen and made something to eat. I hadn't eaten all day. I didn't have the energy for it. And who ate on his last day? Eating wasn't functional on a moment like that.
I brought her home. said Oliver's voice in my mind. I didn't answer and just took a piece from my sandwich. My thoughts stayed with Axelle. Would she stay with her parents for a long time? It seemed like that. She clearly didn't want to rush things, while I wanted her by my side for every minute of the day. Unfortunately, she didn't think the same way as I did.
I walked upstairs and dressed in my pajamas, before going to bed. I hadn't slept well the last few days and maybe it would go better because things were back alright between Axelle and I. Those thoughts didn't help. I just couldn't sleep. The fact that Axellle wasn't near my was the cause. I looked at the empty place next to me and my body just started moving. I stopped before her house, just when my hand wanted to open the door. What was I doing? Stalking her? I hadn't kept my promise to give her some space. Well done Logan ...Eventually, I knocked. As expected, nobody opened the door. It was dark outside and everyone was probably asleep. Slowly, I opened the door and went inside.
