someone call 911 I need assistance ^

well, it is chapter 69 after all ;)

-

"You think you can handle the kids?" Maggie asked.

"Yeah." I replied.

"Remember, put him down for sleep at eight." Maggie repeated for the eighth time.

"She heard you the first time." Glenn replied, getting in the car.

"Be careful." I muttered, Rick throwing his bag in the trunk.

"You got your walkie?" He asked.

I nodded, watching Maggie, Carl, and Glenn get in the car.

"If you're not back by tonight, I'm coming to look for you." I replied.

He nodded before getting in the car.

I watched him drive off before I walked back into Alexandria.

They're just going on an ammo run, but I still worry.

-

"Sam, you there?"

I jumped up from the couch and quickly grabbed the walkie talkie from the coffee table.

"Yeah." I replied, relief flooding over me once I heard Rick's voice.

"Maggie and Glenn are on their way back." He replied.

"What? Why aren't you coming back with them?" I asked.

"We got split up. I'm fine- I just need you to come get me." He replied.

"Are they okay? Why can't you guys meet back up?" I inquired, completely confused.

"Don't freak out, but something happened. She got bit," He replied.

"Oh my god." I gasped, freaking out.

"I'm at the pawn shop that's on the backroad of the valley. Try to hurry," He replied.

"I'm on my way." I replied, grabbing the keys from the chest by the door.

"Tara!" I yelled.

"What?" She asked.

"Watch the kids. Maggie's bit and she's on her way back with Glenn. Rick and Carl aren't with them." I explained.

"Oh my gosh." She replied.

"I'll be right back. Rick told me where he is." I replied.

"Get Denise and get everything ready for Maggie." I ordered, running to the gates.

"Michonne, I need you to come with me." I stated, finding her outside talking to Abraham.

Once I explained everything to her, we got in the truck, and sped down the highway.

If anything would make me freak out it would be Rick screaming and yelling my name.

I grabbed the walkie talkie from my lap, my head swimming.

"Rick! What's going on?" I asked, holding down the walkie talkie.

"Help," Carl added, causing my heart to beat even faster.

"I'm almost there." I replied, flooring the gas pedal.

"Holy shit." I breathed out,  stopping the car a few yards away from the pawn shop.

"I'll go through the woods and behind." Michonne stated.

I grabbed my pistol and got out of the truck, slowly walking toward the pawn shop.

I walked inside the shop, finding three walkers hanging from the ceiling.

I walked around the shop, finding no sign of anyone.

I walked over to what seemed to be a back door, finding two men, and Rick and Carl outside.

I swung open the door, holding my pistol up.

"I suggest you put the gun down, little lady." One man stated,  turning around with his gun aimed on me while the other held Carl with a knife to his throat.

I glanced over to Rick who was standing on a stool, a rope wrapped around his neck from a tree.

I swallowed the lump in my throat, pulling the hammer back on my pistol.

If I shoot the man who has Carl, there's a possibility of his throat getting slit, and if I shoot the man who's standing by the stool Rick is standing on, he'll kick it out from under him- causing Rick to be hung.

"I said put the gun down." The man growled.

I glanced over to Carl who whimpered when the heavier-set guy started petting his face.

I looked back to the guy who had his gun aimed at me, trying to think of something quick.

"Why should I? You have your guns raised at me- that's not fair." I replied.

"That's true, Frank. Maybe we should have a little fun with her." The guy with the knife to Carl's throat, said.

"Don't touch her." Rick growled.

"Yeah, let's do it John. We haven't been with a woman in years, let alone a young boy," Frank laughed, petting Carl's face again.

"Don't touch him." I snapped.

"Don't worry, you're first." John replied, walking over to me.

"You wanna play? We'll play." I replied, pulling my flannel off.

I put my gun back in it's holster, hoping my plan would work.

"Damn, baby. You're eager, aren't you?" He asked as I put my hand on his crotch.

I tried my best to keep my vomit down as his lips pressed themselves to mine.

"Let's put a show on for them, baby. Make 'ole Rick Grimes watch you get banged with his last minutes on earth." He replied, pressing his lips to my collar bone.

"Make it mind blowing," I replied, biting my lip.

"Got that." He laughed, his hand grabbing my ass.

I brought my knee up to his dick as hard as I could before pulling my pistol out and wrapping my arm around his neck, and placing my pistol to his temple.

"Fuck, John! You can't never keep ya dick in your pants!" Frank yelled.

"Hey, baby. Wanna answer a question for me?" I asked, my voice like silk.

"What?" He asked as I pressed the pistol harder against his temple.

"How mind blowing is it, really?" I taunted, pulling the hammer back.

"Shït! Shït!" Frank yelled, spazzing out.

"I hope you realize if you shoot me, he'll slit his throat as fast as you pull the trigger." John replied.

They both stayed quiet while I trailed the pistol down John's head.

"It's such a shame we met like this," I started, my lips right beside John's ear. "We could've had a lot of fun." I continued.

"We still can." He replied.

"Frank, you know somethin'?" I asked, glancing over to him.

"What?" He asked.

"I'm a crazy bitch." I replied, smiling.

"That's for sure." John replied.

"Shh, you're talking too much." I replied, patting his head with my other hand.

"What happens if I let the boy go?" Frank asked.

"I might show a little mercy." I replied.

"Don't let him go!" John yelled.

I looked behind Frank, finding Michonne ready with her Katana.

"Frank, guess what?" I replied.

"What?" He asked.

"Turn around." I smiled.

I pulled the trigger on my pistol, John hitting the ground with blood splattering all over me.

Frank turned around, Michonne's Katana going right through his skull.

Carl ran to me while Michonne cut the rope around Rick's neck.

"Did he touch you in any way?" I asked Carl who latched on to me.

"No." He cried.

I rubbed his back, Rick walking over an wrapping his arms around me.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Just a few bruises." He answered.

-

"I did it without hesitation. I didn't even blink, I just pulled the trigger." I mumbled.

"It's our instincts now. We protect our family first, before anyone." Michonne replied.

"Whenever I k-kill someone, I start having bad anxiety attacks and nightmares for weeks after that. I keep trying to tell myself that I'm not a bad person, and I'm just surviving, but sometimes I feel like I've done so many bad things- I'm just as bad as the people I kill." I explained.

"No, you're not. Your heart, it's beating, and there's good inside of you. You're just a good person, in a bad world trying to survive. We all are." She replied as I stopped the truck outside of the gates.

I got out of the truck, listening to Carl begin to yell at his dad.

I ran down to Maggie's house, hearing screams from inside.

"How is she?" I asked Tara who's eyes were wide.

"She's freaking out, Glenn's freaking out, everyone's freaking out." She replied.

"How bad is it?" I inquired.

"Denise had to cut her arm off." Tara replied.

Denise came running down the stairs and into the living room.

"I need help. I can't get her IV in because she won't stop moving." Denise stated, her voice shaky.

I ran back upstairs with her, finding Maggie literally moving from one side of the bed to the other.

Blood was everywhere, and if she lost too much- she would die from blood loss instead of infection.

I watched as she began calming down when Glenn began talking to her.

"Got it," Denise breathed, putting her hands in the air.

"I'm out of the antibiotic she needs. If she doesn't get it.." Denise trailed off.

"I'll get it." I declared.

"It's dangerous. It's at the hospital you were heading to when Rick was bit." She replied.

"I can do it." I replied.

"Take someone with you." Glenn replied, fear sketched all over his face.

"I will. Just don't worry, everything's gonna be okay," I stated, before walking out into the hall.

"Did she get it?" Michonne asked.

"Yeah, but she needs antibiotic. I have to go right now," I replied.

"I'll come." Rick stated.

I nodded, fishing the keys out of my pocket before walking out to the truck.

I looked in the backseat, finding my weapons and ammo.

-

"This it?" Rick asked.

"Yeah." I replied, getting my pistol and ammo.

"Have you been in here before?" He inquired.

"No." I mumbled, walking around to the front.

"I'll meet you on the third floor. Take this, will communicate through this." I ordered, handing him a walkie talkie.

"Three gun shots means I'm in trouble." He replied.

I nodded, walking off in the opposite way he was going.

"Hey," He called out.

"Yeah?" I asked, turning around.

"I'll catch you later, beautiful." He replied, mocking Curt, and using a high pitched voice.

I shook my head before turning around and continuing to walk around on the ground floor.

After seeing no sign of any medications, I walked over to the stairs.

I turned my flashlight on before walking up the stairs when I heard a gunshot.

I stopped, hearing another before breaking out in a full on run when I heard the third one.

I ran up the flight of stairs before pushing the door open.

I gripped my pistol in my hand and started walking slow to see if I could hear anything.

I turned my head, looking behind me to see nothing.

I continued walking before turning a corner, finding two bodies laying on the floor.

Okay, maybe it was a bad idea to split up.

I looked to my right, hearing another gunshot.

That's four. Rick only has six rounds in his Python, unless he's using the rifle which I don't think he would use unless he absolutely had to.

I walked down the hall to my right, stepping over a dead body.

I mentally screamed, watching someone run down the hall, and that someone wasn't Rick.

Fear made my heart pound even more as I put my back against the cold wall, hearing someone scream from down the hall.

I stayed put, hearing boots clank against the metal stairs.

"There's intruders!" Someone screamed, running behind the guy that just ran by.

I froze, hearing my walkie talkie beep.

My heart pounded in my chest when I began hearing blood hurdling screams from the floor above me.

I stayed quiet, hearing whimpers from the other side of the hall.

I slowly went around the corner, finding a woman on the ground holding her stomach.

I looked to the left, not finding anyone before I ran over to her.

"Please! Please don't hurt me!" She whimpered, blood seeping out of her stomach.

"I'm not going to, just stay quiet." I replied, taking my flannel off and pressing it to her gun shot wound.

"Who are you?" She asked, her eyes wide.

"No. Me and my friend came here to get medicine for someone, we didn't know anyone was in here." I whispered.

"There's bad people in here, slaughtering people. On the third floor," She whispered.

After putting two and two together, I realized there's more people in here. Rick wouldn't hurt someone without knowing what they are.

"If I help you, will you help me?" I asked.

"You're already helping me." She replied.

I nodded, deciding I should get her in a room.

"Can you stand up?" I asked.

"I don't know," She whispered, before raising up.

"I got you," I whispered, helping her up on her feet.

I put her arm around my neck before walking over to the nearest room.

"Everyone mostly stays on the third floor, no one is really down here." She replied once I opened the door.

I was afraid to communicate to Rick, fearing that if he was in trouble, those people would hear and hurt him.

I helped her onto the bed, before looking at the number on the door.

"I'll come back for you when it's over." I replied.

"The people have masks on, please be careful!" She hissed.

"I will, stay as quiet as you can." I replied.

"Keep this. I'll find my friend, and I'll communicate with you through this. Don't do anything until I talk to you first, okay?" I replied, handing her my walkie talkie.

"Okay." She replied, nodding her head.

"Why are you trusting me?" She asked.

"I'm not. I'm just helping you." I replied.

"Thank you." She replied, tears pooling her eyes.

I nodded before getting my pistol and exiting the room.

My heart almost beat out of my chest as I heard a series of screams from the hallway behind me.

I sprinted down the hall to the stairs before running up them as fast as I could.

Once I got to the third floor, I took a deep breath before slowly opening the door.

I grimaced, finding blood all over the walls, and a few bodies laying in the halls.

I kept my pistol raised as I turned another corner, bumping right into someone.

My eyes widened as I noticed the mask, and the rifle.

I pulled the hammer back on my pistol right when he pulled the mask off.

I sighed, Rick's eyes meeting mine.

He grabbed my wrist before pulling me into the nearest room.

He shut the door behind us before I walked over to the window.

I looked around the room, noticing we were in what looked to be a lounge for doctors.

My heart came up to my throat when I seen blood seep from his right arm.

"I'm fine." He replied.

"There's good people in here. But the bad people are the ones with masks, and they came in a few minutes before us." I whispered.

"I'm out of bullets. I didn't load it up before we came in." Rick whispered, tossing the pistol on the couch.

I slapped my forehead, realizing I had been using my pistol the entire time and it only had one bullet.

"Don't tell me you're out of bullets too." He replied.

"I'm sorry I wasn't expecting some shït like this to go down!" I hissed.

"I seen you with that girl, but I couldn't come to you because she would've screamed and got us all killed." He explained.

I nodded, "it's fine." I replied.

"I left my walkie with her." I added.

Rick put his finger up to his lips, silencing me before pulling me into the small closet with him.

My heart began racing again, hearing gun shots right outside of the room we were in.

I handed him my pistol before he put me behind him.

I heard the door open, hearing footsteps walk beside the closet we were in.

I clasped my hand around Rick's, knowing that this could potentially be our last moments.

No one can fight fire power, and I only had one round. If we shot, the other intruders would come and finish us off.

He gave my hand a squeeze, and I rested my head on his back.

I know that guy knows we're in here, he had to hear me talking.

I mentally cursed, hearing the walkie talkie hooked on my belt loop go off.

"Help," The girl who I had helped earlier's voice rang through the walkie talkie, followed by a gunshot.

I jumped, hearing something bang in the room we were in.

"Yo, Jerry! There's a pop machine!" The man yelled.
