"Can you tell us what's been going on Ellie?" Zak asks.
"Well, a man has hurt us, my kids and me, my husband not so much, but the man scratches me and the kids, sometimes we get marks that looks like we've been slapped on punched, my kids have nightmares about this man sometimes, about how he's never gonna stop harming us" She says. Why is she referring to him as 'a man'? Does she not know that he was our father?
"Wow, I'm sorry to hear you're going through that, it annoys me when I hear about spirits harming the living, especially when they're harming women and children, we're gonna do what we can to make him leave, so you and your family can live in peace" Zak says.
"Thanks, we appreciate you all for doing this, he's not a nice man at all, his lady is nice but she seems as scared of him as we are, we hear her cry, we hear her say something like 'no please don't' in a way that she's gonna get hurt or watch someone get hurt, I don't only want peace for my family, but I want peace for the lady as well" Ellie continues.
"Well, we will do our best" Zak says. "Do you mind if we just take a look inside the house real quick?" He asks.
"Sure, go ahead, just be careful that you don't get hurt, this man will hurt you day and night, he doesn't care" Ellie says. Zak starts making his way into the house with Nick and I go to follow, Nick notices me and stops.
"Woah, Charlie, what are you doing?" Nick asks, Zak stops as he hears Nick.
"Charlie, stay out here with Aaron and the boys, we don't want any of you getting hurt" Zak says.
"Can I just come in for a minute, I know I didn't want anything to do with this, but now I feel I need to" I say. Zak reluctantly nods in approval. The 3 of us walk into my old home, I look around, it's changed a lot, since we lived here, it doesn't even look like our old home now, I walk into the living room and see a huge mirror, I see something written on the wall, without thinking that I'm looking in a mirror I walk over to it to read what is written, I eventually see it says 'I KNOW YOU KNOW' why does that sound so familiar? Suddenly I remember I'm looking at it written on the wall through the mirror, I quickly look behind me at the wall the writing would have been on, but there's nothing there, I look back in the mirror and the writing has gone, I swear I just saw it, that's majorly freaky!! Cause I'm startled I run out of the living room and bump into a hard chest.
"Woah, Charlie, are you ok?" Zak asks as he catches me before I fall backwards.
"Err.. Umm.. What?.. Err.." Is all I say because I'm freaked out.
"Charlie, talk to us!" Zak demands, he worries about me so easily.
"I err.. Saw something, but then it like.. I dunno, it just disappeared, but I swear I saw it" I say as I try to get myself together again.
"What did you see?" Nick asks pointing his camera at me.
"I'm not even joking when I say this, I looked at the mirror in the living room and saw writing on the wall and it said 'I know you know', all in capital letters, then I looked at the wall and the writing wasn't there, I looked back at the mirror and it, it disappeared" I explain.
"That, that's very weird" Nick says.
"And the weird thing is, is that it was familiar to me, but I don't know how, it was like a de ja vu, like I've heard or seen that writing before" I explain.
"Ok, that's it, you're going back outside with Aaron and the boys right now, no 'buts' either, it's not safe for you in here" Zak says. "Actually, Nick you stay here and look around some more and I'll take Charlie back out, I'll be right back" Zak says. He takes me out and I sit in the car while he goes and explains to Aaron what I just experienced. How did that writing seem so familiar? 'I KNOW YOU KNOW', 'I KNOW YOU KNOW'? Where have I seen or heard it from?? And why was Ellie calling dad 'a man' like she thinks she's a stranger to us all? I thought she knew.
"Dad" I call to Zak, he walks over to me in the car.
"What is it? Are you ok?" He asks.
"I'm fine, I wanted to ask you why Ellie referred to my dad as 'a man' like she doesn't know he was our dad?" I ask him.
"Because she doesn't know we know who he is" He answers.
"Why not?" I ask out of curiosity.
"For all of our safety, if they know, they might blame you, or dislike you guys because you're his blood, they might think that you guys will bring more bad luck to them or something" He explains.
"But she seems like a nice woman who just wants peace" I say.
"Well, me and the guys would rather not take the risk, our safety is most important thing with all this" He says.
"Ok, fair enough" I say.
"Have you remembered or thought about what you saw? How it was familiar?" He asks out of curiosity.
"Nothing is coming to mind yet, but it's gonna bug me until I remember" I answer. How is it familiar? How? How? Please brain help me out here for once.
"Ok, well don't go crazy about it, if you're supposed to remember then you will" He says.
"Hey Zak, Ellie has just asked if you wanna quickly talk to the kids" Aaron shouts over.
"Come on, we better get back to everyone" He says. "Sure, coming over now" Zak shouts back. We walk over to Ellie and her kids.
"Guys, this is Bella and this is Jacob" Ellie introduces us. Zak crouches down to their height, they only look about 10 and 11 years old, so they're not tall.
"Hey you two, we're here to help your family, we've heard that a man that lives somewhere in your home that you can't see hurts you, can you tell me what he's done? Cause we're here to tell him to leave cause he's mean but we need to know what mean things he's done" Zak says calmly to them.
"H-he has scratched me on m-my arms, sometimes my legs a-and I've had a few scratches o-on my stomach and back, I've f-felt him slap me on my f-face, when I told mummy she saw a h-handprint where I-I was slapped" Jacob says.
"He doesn't have a stutter he's just nervous, you guys are strangers to him" Ellie says, Zak nods in understanding.
"I'm sorry to hear that you've been hurt like that" Zak says. I feel really sorry for these two, and pissed at my father for doing this to them. "And what has this man done to you sweetie?" Zak asks calmly.
"He's hurt me by scratching me, I've felt him pull my hair, sometimes he's pulled my hair so much that I go backwards like I'm being dragged, one time I felt someone push my head into the corner of the kitchen counter which really hurt and I was bleeding, I had to go to the hospital and now I have a scar right here" She says showing us the scar that is just above her eyebrow. "I've had nightmares where a man that I think is him has said I'm a naughty girl and deserve to get hurt more than I am and that he'll never go away" She continues as she starts getting teary. "I just, want him to go away. he hurts me and my brother, he's mean to my mummy, and I'm really really scared" She finishes in tears.
"It's ok Bella, I promise you and your brother that we're gonna do everything we can to get this man to leave, you don't have to be scared, this is your home now, you should feel safe, and safe is what we're gonna give you, ok?" Zak asks rubbing her arm as she cries. Bless her, she's so young and fragile, my dead dad is doing all of this is these innocent little beauties.
"I'm sorry, she tries not to talk about her experiences, as you can tell she's terrified, I appreciate you all coming to help us, it means a lot to the family" Ellie says as she hugs her crying, terrified daughter. The little girl lets go of her mum and turns to Zak.
"Can I- do you like hugs?" The little girl asks Zak. Zak opens his arms.
"Come here sweetie" He says and she goes to him, he gives her a comforting hug, after a couple of seconds they let go of each other.
"You're good at hugs sir" She says.
"You're better sweetie, and you don't have to call me 'sir', it's 'Zak' for you guys, you don't have to be scared anymore" Zak says.
"Thanks Zak" The girl says and walks back to her mum.
"Are you ok little guy?" Zak asks Jacob.
"I'm ok Zak, I know you all will help us as much as you can, my little sister is terrified and that saddens me" He says, bless him, bless them.
"Hey, you didn't stutter, see I'm nice aren't I" Zak says as more of a joke.
"Yeah, the way you just cheered my sister up, thanks" He says.
"Anyway you two and you're mom, we have to go now so we can get ready to make this man leave tomorrow night, we need lots of rest so we can stay awake while you sleep peacefully, so you can come home and keep sleeping peacefully and not get hurt anymore" Zak says as he stands up.
"See you tomorrow everyone" Ellie says and the two kids wave.
"Bye guys" I say and wave back.
"See you tomorrow evening" Zak says. We all go back to the hotel, to mine and Zak's room.
"Ok, so what do we need for the lockdown, what equipment?" Aaron asks as he get's a pen and notepad.
"Well, obviously the night-vision cameras, at least 2 EVP recorders, the SB7 Spirit box" I start and Aaron writes down.
"Err, the still camera so we can take photos and see if anything weird shows up" Rhydian suggests.
"A thermal imaging camera" Nick says.
"I actually think that's about it, it's only one home in a building, even thought it's quite big, so for the night-vision cameras, we need at least 6 of them, living room, kitchen, the 3 bedrooms and the hallway, actually make that 7 and we'll put one in the bathroom just in case" Zak says.
"So that's 7 night-visions, 2 EVP recorders, SB7 Spirit box, a normal digital camera and a Thermal Imaging camera, that it?" Aaron asks as he reads the notepad.
"Yeah, that sounds like everything we need" Nick says.
"Ok, let's get some food and some sleep" Aaron says. We all order in room service food, we decide to go for an unhealthy dinner, burgers and chips, sausage and chips and Rhydian has fish and chips.
"That was delicious" Nick says as he's the last one to finish his food.
"Ok, we need to try and sleep from.." Zak starts and checks his phone. "..Now is 9:45, so say from 10 until about 2 tomorrow afternoon, sounds long but we need the rest, plus you kids can sleep and sleep when you want to" Zak says as he looks at me and Rhydian.
"What can we say, it must be a twin thing, we love sleep" Rhydian says. We all say our goodnights and go to bed, I am knackered, I might actually be able to do this near enough 1,000 hour sleep.
"Sleep well sweetie" Zak says as he sits on my bed.
"You too dad, when you get into your bed" I say sarcastically.
"I love you Charlie" He says and kisses my forehead.
"Love you too dad" I say, I quickly sit up and kiss his cheek and lay back down again, he goes a gets into his own bed and before I know it my eyes are shut.

Next chapter now up, what do you think? I feel sorry for the kids, they're terrified to live in their own home because of Charlie and the boys deceased dad. Let us just hope that the guys can get him to leave.
