All through breakfast I didn’t talk to anyone no matter what people tried to do. I could feel the stares people shot me but it didn’t matter to me, I hurt one of my friend’s a lot and now I was soon to be going on a date with one of his best friends.
“Are you okay,” Katie asks as her and Angelina fall into step with me as we headed down to the entrance.
“Well Ron asked me this morning if I wanted to go on a date with him but yesterday I promised Harry if he set me down before I made a fool of myself I would go on a date with him today.”
“Oh wow you have half the boys here wrapped around your fingers don’t you,” Angelina laughed.
“Don’t forget all of her toes and more,” Katie added.
“You guys are the worst people ever,” I whined pushing them away.
“Hey Tessa you ready,” Harry asked as we neared the end of the staircase.
“Be safe,” Katie and Angelina whispered in my ears before heading off to the twins and Lee Jordan.
“Ya,” I smiled falling into step with him. “Where are Ron and Hermione I don’t think I’ve ever seen you three not with each other.”
“Ha-ha,” Harry joked. “I don’t know though Ron was in a bad mood which somehow ended up in Hermione talking to him again.”
“I never meant to create so much drama for you guys,” I said weakly showing my slip to Filch. “I mean if I had known coming here would cause such a mess for your friendship I would have made my grandparents let me go somewhere else.”
“I won’t let you,” Harry demanded grabbing my hand.
“And why not,” I challenged but secretly enjoying the fact that he didn’t want me to go.
“You’ve changed all of our lives for the better. I mean if you weren’t here I don’t know what I would’ve done when Ron and Hermione fought.”
“Tell them to grow the hell up and leave you out of it,” I said like it was the simplest thing in the world, which to me it was.
“You make it sound so easy,” He muttered darkly staring ahead.
“How about this: no more depressing stuff or I get to kick your ass to Canada and make you go to my old school and believe me you won’t like it there.”
“Um,” Harry said nervously.
“Don’t worry I can kick your ass farther than Canada if you want.”
“I think we should just have a good time instead.”
“Okey dokey artichoke,” I laughed causing people to stare at us, the crazy girl who was with Harry Potter.
“You are probably the oddest person I know,” Harry stated finally easing up beside me.
“You’re the meanest I know,” I said crossing my arms. Harry just laughed pulling me into a hug as we continued to walk.
By the time we got to town I was freezing my ass off and glad when we headed straight to the Leaky Cauldron.
“Two butter beers please,” Harry said as we sat down at a table in a corner.
“You know sometimes I wonder why you’re being so nice to me,” I whispered quietly hoping Harry couldn’t hear me.
“Because you’re nice and a great friend, I’m also glad you finally put Hermione in her place. She knows she is an extremely smart witch and uses it to her advantage. Ron and I can only say so much to her before we give up and call it useless.”
“I knew someone like that, it’s like everything you say goes in one ear and out the other. She backstabbed me and I decided I couldn’t face the stares people gave me. But whatever… let’s go to Zonko’s!”
“Sure,” Harry smiled. I jumped up and down the entire way there while pulling Harry along with me. “You’ve never been here have you?”
I looked around the entire shop a smile splitting my face like a little kid on Christmas seeing that Santa came. “Nope,” I replied popping the p. “But I think I like it here.”
“I can see why you get along with the twins; they’re the best customers here.”
“We should play a prank on them,” I decided.
“Finally someone deciding to play a prank on the twins, Fred and George are my best customers but no one is crazy enough to play one on them,” A man chuckled from behind me.
“Let me guess, you own the shop?”
“Sure do, have for 30 years and plan on it for another 30 years if not more,” he replied his green eyes sparkling with laughter.
“So would happen to know what would work on the twins?” I asked running trough ideas in my head. “Harry will you help me?”
“I may be considered crazy already but why not,” He smiled at me as my heart fluttered crazily.
“Come this way then,” Mr. Zonko said ushering us into the back room. “What do you have in mind exactly?”
I smiled mischievously as my plan was set into action. “Well…”
