Lena finds it really hard to concentrate on something when she's hearing people talk about her and her boyfriend. They should be tactful. Pero hindi, she was just few meters away from them. They did not even bother to tone down. What's with them?
Nevertheless, dapat masanay na siya. People always say that kahit nasa paligid pa siya. Seth was quite infamous for having such reputation towards girls.
Ang totoo nyan, imbes na matakot pa siya na may mangyari sa kanila ni Seth, she's looking forward to it. Sa oras na mangyari yon, she could have Seth under her spell. Napalingon siya kay Seth nang harapin nito ang mga tsismosa. "Do you have any problem with us?"
"Baby..hayaan mo na sila." pigil niya rito. Ayaw niya madagdagan pa ang gulo.
"Hindi, Len. Sobra na sila." Muli nitong hinaral ang mga tsismosa. "Ano bang problema nyo? Don't you guys have a life of your own to live? Just leave my girlfriend alone, okay?"
"Or else?" hamon ng pinakamukang slut.
"Are you gonna kick our asses off here, huh?" sabi ng pinakapayat.
"Could you really do that, Seth?" hamon ng isa pa.
Seth was taken aback by the words. Anak-mahirap si Seth. Nakakapag-aral lang ito at ang kakambal nitong si Vonn dahil sa scolarship and a mother to support them. Lumaking walang ama si Seth. And now they were mocking his status.
Sisingit sana siya but Seth stopped her. "I'll have your asses fvcked to kingdom come, honeys." And he was talking about the frat he belonged to.
"I would like to see you try."
Bago pa makasagot si Seth, hinila na niya ito palayo. Hahaba lang ang walang kwentang away. "Dapat hindi mo na sila pinatulan. Matutuwa pa yung mga yon."
"They go far beyond the line, Len."
"Seth, baby, just calm down, okay?"
Hanggang sa maihatid na siya nito sa mansyon, yun pa din ang pinagdidiskusyunan nila. Paulit-ulit lang.
"You know what? Let's just forget about that. Sa condo ako magcecelebrate. There'll be a party at 7pm." She smiled at him. Birthday niya sa sabado.
"Ikaw ang bahala." Poker faced.
"Baby.." She encircled her arms on his waist and looked at his face. "Birthday ko naman e. Smile ka na."
Natawa siya ng ngumiti ito ng pilit. "Eee naman ee. Wag ganyan. Yung totoong smile please."
Nagmuka itong si Joker sa sobrang pilit ng ngiti. I pinched his cheeks. "Ang cute cute cute cute talaga ng baby ko."
He laughed then smiled back. Ang sarap nyang titigan.
"I love you."
"I love you, too."
He kissed her before he went home. Everytime he kissed her her stomach flutters, her toes curl, her world turns steadfast til they're the only people. He had that magic in her. She promised to have him forever.
"Happy birthday!!" Lena's friends shouted as she opened the door for them.
Bineso siya ng mga ito.
"Regalo namin, Tita." sabi ng beki niyang friend, si Ian. She accepted the gifts and put it together with the others.

"Dyan sa mini bar!" turo niya
Nagsisigawan na sila sa lakas ng music.
"Si Seth!?"
"Wala pa!" Hindi pa tumatawag si Seth. Sabi niya pumunta ito e. Madalas kasi isipin ni Seth, hindi ito belong sa mundo niya. Nangangamba siyang maging dahilan iyo ng hindi nito pagpunta sa birthday party niya. "Darating din yon!" sagot niya sa kaibigan at pagpapalakas niya ng loob sa sarili.
"I'm sure!" pagsangayon nito.
Pero 9 pm na wala pa din si Seth. Hindi yata matutuloy ang plano niya. She wanted something to happen between them at ngayon niya balak gawin iyon. Kaso nawawalan na siya ng lakas ng loob lalo pa at mukang hindi siya siputin ni Seth.

"Lena! Helena!" one of her friends shouted.

"I'm sorry hindi kita natawagan." pabulong na sabi nito. Funny she can hear him regardless of the music.
"Okay lang." Basta nakarating itong buo, masaya na siya.
"No. That's not okay. Kanina pa sya nag-aalala." Si Ian. Nakikinig pala ito, tsismoso rin e.
"But don't worry about it. Ang mahalaga dumating ka." sabi niya agad. Iyon naman talaga ang mahalaga. At mahalaga rin na walang nangyaring masama rito.
The party went on for hours. Hanggang sa..
"Sht!" He heard Vonn said. Nasa may bandang kitchen sila.
Lumapit siya. "Why?"
"I told this guy not to drink this much. Ang kulit. Now, he's wasted." Patungkol nito sa kakambal.
"He could spend the night here." prisinta niya.
Umaangat ang ulo ni Seth na nakasubsob sa dingding. "No.."

"Party's over! Tara na let's go!" At mahabang yakaran ang nangyari bago niya narinig ang lock ng front door.

Uupo sana siya sa couch kaso nandun si Seth! Nakataas ang mga paa nito sa arm rest. Nakalawit ang isang kamay nito sa couch, the other was on his chest. He was sleeping on her couch!
He was sleeping like a baby that she can't help but stare at him.
His face was so peaceful. She remembered waking up seeing him sleeping peacefully.

Siguro dapat siyang magpasalamat sa Diyos na may isang Seth Araneta na dumating sa buhay niya. Dapat siguro siyang magpasalamat na minsan naging masaya siya, sila.
