We decide to go to the beach so we can call Caroline, considering there is only signal on the beach. Bekah, Elena and Stefan thought that it would be for the best if I call Caroline to tell her to try to find the sword. And if Caroline and Tyler don't succeed in finding it, they thought I had the best shot at convincing Nik to tell us where he hid the sword.
"Tell me you're not serious." Care says over the phone after I explain her everything that happened.
"Wish I could." I tell her. "After we got back from looking for Jeremy, Shane and Bonnie were gone too. In order to find the cure, Shane needs Bonnie to cast a spell on Jeremy's tattoo and he succeeded in stealing them both right under our noses.
"So Rebekah, Stefan, Elena and you were looking for Jeremy, so where is Damon in all this?"
"From what Elena told me, it looks they had an argument and he went for a walk. When we arrived at the beach we saw signs of struggle." I explain.
"Meaning?" Care asks.
"Meaning somebody probably jumped him and then grabbed him." I answer.
"You think Shane took him?"
"Even with the element of surprise he wouldn't be able to take Damon on. He must have someone helping him."
"I wish I was there to help."
"Actually that's why I called, there's something you can do from home."
"Anything. Tell me."
"Well Shane is looking for the cure, we think we can find him. We have pictures of Jeremy's tattoo, but we just can't translate the map."
"Unless you get the Hunter's Sword from Klaus."
"Exactly. So could you try to find it and if you can't find him ask him where it is. And if he doesn't tell you, tell him it's me who is asking."
"I'll find it, don't worry. Just e-mail me photos of Jeremy's tattoo. I'll find the sword, and I'll call you back."
"Thanks Care." I say.
"Bye." She says and and ends the call.

Rebekah and I were trying to get signal while Elena and Stefan were talking away from us, when suddenly Rebekah's phone rings.
"Hello?" Rebekah says as she picks up the phone. After a few moments Bex checks he email and quickly shows me the pictures Care sent her before speaking on the phone again. "Got it. Thanks." After a few seconds on her face I see shock and I look at her in confusion and she says. "Nik, you helped?" She asks and I look at her with a surprised expression. "Shouldn't I be? I mean, you don't want me to be human. You don't want any of us to be human. Why would you help us find the cure?" She says to who I guess is Nik. "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me a hundred times-" She starts but she stops and my guess is he interrupted her. "So do I." She tells him. "Nik. Nik!" Rebekah says into the phone as the call gets interrupted.
"What happened?" I ask and she motions me to be quite.
"Promise me you want tell anyone about this." Rebekah says and I nod, she starts typing something on her phone before showing me. The text read 'Nik told me that there is only one dose of the cure'.
"Well then we'll get it for you." I tell her and she looks at me shocked.
"What about Elena?"
"I came here for you and my sister will survive. She needs to realize the world doesn't revolve around her." I say. "Oh, and don't tell Stefan about the cure, we both know Salvatore brothers would do anything for Elena.

After we finished our conversation Rebekah and I went back to Stefan and Elena acting normally and we start hiking through the woods.
"What did Caroline say?" Elena asks Bex and me.
"I don't know. We lost the signal. Come on, this way." Bekah says and we come to the edge of a cliff and stop. " We need to get down and across. Advantage, vampires: all we have to do is jump."
"Hello, not vampire here." I say.
"Obviously, which is why I will jump with you." Bekah tells me.
"For the record, how many times have you jumped like this before?" I ask.
"Enough times to know that I won't drop you." She says and I nod.
Before I can say anything else Elena says. "Wait, wait. Um...maybe you should leave the map behind. In case you fall, you don't want anything to happen to the phone."
"Are we doing this again? I thought we were a team?" Bex asks.
"Guys, we don't have time for this. Elena, you go first. We'll be right behind you." Stefan says thankfully interrupting what would of been an argument between the two of them.
Elena hesitates before she takes a running leap off the edge. Stefan was about to jump when Rebekah throws out her arm and stops him. I look at her confused not understanding why she stopped him from jumping.
"There's something you should know about the cure." Bekah tells him and I give her a look telling her to shut up but she ignores me. She tells him the truth about the cure.
"So you're sure that Klaus is telling the truth? That there's only one dose of the cure?" Stefan asks after Bekah finishes explaining despite my attempts to stop her from talking. Rebekah gently nods. "Well, I guess that's what happens when you're dumb enough to hold out hope."
"There's still hope for one of us. But even if I felt pity for you, if I wanted to ease your pain so I gave you the cure to take for yourself, you'd give it to Elena, wouldn't you?" Stefan doesn't reply, tacitly revealing his answer. "That's what I thought. Well, I'm sorry that it couldn't work out the way that we all wanted it to." Stefan looks confused, and Bekah snaps his neck and his body falls to the ground.
Bex then looks at me and I tell her. "I feel like there's no need in me telling you 'I told you so'. But still, I did warn you."
Bekah doesn't answers instead she takes my hand and vamps speed us away taking another route to the caves where Silas is trapped.
We arrive at the cave and as we walk inside we hear someone groaning.
"I'm gonna kill you. And then I'm gonna get to that damn cure, and I'm gonna give it to the girl that I love." I hear Damon threaten someone.
"Your attachment to your friends will be the end of you." I hear an male unfamiliar voice say. Bekah motions for me to siphon from her and I do, taking enough magic to last me for a while but not to much to weaken Bex.
"You don't know my friends..." Damon says and when he sees Bex and I entering the cave he says looking at Bekah. "Or my enemies."

Damon, Rebekah and I stand on one side of the cave, hunter who I learned name is Vaughn on the other training his gun on us.
"Are we gonna dance or are we gonna play?" Damon asks.
"You know he can't hurt me, Damon, unless he's got the white oak stake." Bekah tells Damon.
"Yes, but you forget I'm very much mortal and killable." I tell her.
"I'm well aware, but like I said he can't hurt me and I'll protect you." Bekah says.
"Good, because I don't feel like dying today."
"But I got some other toys." Vaughn says.
Vaughn shoots Rebekah 3 times. She vamp-speeds at him and grabs him by his throat, but he sticks something into her chest. Rebekah looks down at it, Vaughn holds up the fuse that he's pulled out, and the grenade detonates, sending the wooden spikes into her body, all the way through to her back. She falls down, neutralized. Damon vamp-speeds at Vaughn, engaging him in hand-to-hand combat. Vaughn withdraws another weapon and fires it at Damon; this time it throws a lasso-like device covered in vervain, which secures Damon by the neck to a pole behind him. He groans and makes choking noises. While they fight I whisper 'Invisique' and make myself invisible and move quietly from where I previously stood.
"Damon!" I hear Stefan's voice yell in distance.
Vaughn looks around for me but when he doesn't see me, he grabs onto a rope going down the shaft, slides down it quickly and disappears. I don't try to stop him knowing I couldn't beat him and knowing that IO don't have enough magic left in me to fight him. Elena and Stefan enter the chamber just in time to hear Vaughn reach the bottom. I make myself visible again just as Stefan tries to get the rope off of Damon's neck while Damon groans in pain, but the vervain burns Stefan's fingers as well, making it difficult.
"You're wasting time. Just get the cure. Go." Damon tells them.
"We're not gonna leave you." Elena argues.
"No, we aren't. " Stefan tells Elena. "You need to go ahead. We'll be right behind you."
Elena hesitates. "Go." I urge her to go, after a few moments she jumps down into the shaft.

Stefan with my help finally manages to free Damon from the rope and Damon falls to the ground.
"All right, come on. We have to catch up." Stefan says trying to help Damon to get up and he looks at me. "Are you going with us?"
"I'll stay here and wait for Bekah to wake up." I answer and he nods.
"No, it's okay. I just need a minute. I'm only gonna slow you down. Go. She only needs one of us." Damon says breathlessly.
"And what? You don't care to be that one anymore? You finally decided it was easier to just walk away?" I decide not to say anything an let them have their brotherly disagreement.
"There's only one dose of the cure, Stefan. She wants to take it, you want her to. I don't. Just do what makes her happy, Stefan."
"Things have changed. It's not that easy anymore."It is right now. Get your ass down the well. Help Elena get the damn thing." Damon tells him loudly.
"I swear Stefan if you don't go, I'll push you myself and I'm sure Damon won't stop me." I tell Stefan.
"I might even help her." Damon tells him and Stefan finally decides and jumps down the well, while Damon and I watch him.
"Come on." I say helping Damon get up.
"What are you doing?" He asks.
"You're gonna pull wooden spikes out of Rebekah." I tell him, well more like inform him of what he's going to do.
"Why can't you do it." He asks.
"I already went through your insides once, I will never do it for anyone ever again." I tell him referring to that time I had to pull bomb out of him.
"Fine I'll do it." He says then he suddenly smirks. "You did after all help me with that exploding kitten I was not attached to." He adds and I just roll my eyes at him.
"Just do it."

When Damon pulls the last wooden spikes out of Rebekah, she coughs and starts to wake up, groaning as she rolls onto her back.
"You're alive." Rebekah tells Damon surprised. Then she looks at me. "I'm not surprised about you, I know you could handle him."
"Yeah." Damon says.
"Why didn't you go with them?" Bekah asks us curiously.
"I wanted to wait for you to wake up." I say.
"And I needed a siesta." Damon shrugs.
"You gave up, didn't you?" Bekah asks.
"I didn't give up. I just realized...you can't control everything...no matter how hard you try. Let's just say I made peace with that fact." Damon says.
"Peace? You love Elena. You always will. If she becomes human, she may not feel the same way about you. You'll never know peace." Bekah says getting up.
"Life sucks. Get a helmet." Damon says.
"And here I thought Damon Salvatore wasn't capable of being selfless, yet you proved me wrong. If I didn't know better, I'd say you were becoming a halfway decent person." I tell Damon.
