Y/n pov:
After the conversation with Maria I went to my small room to study the files better.
I know I said I would talk to Natasha but she's with the green beast (not in a offensive way of course). I just didn't want to interrupt whatever conversation they had... Or maybe I didn't search for her at all, but that's not the point.
I'm laying on my bed reading Bruce's files.
I just can't shake off the bad feeling I have about him, I'm worried that somebody will get hurt and the fact that he isn't so sure about himself either doesn't help at all.
After a few minutes someone knocks on the door.
"If it's not Natasha, don't come in"
I say as I keep reading the paper in front of me.
When the door open I look up with a confused look but then realize it's the redhead.
"So I get special treatment?"
She has that stupid smirk on her face that always gets me smiling.
I roll my eyes before responding.
"I just didn't think it was you"
"Yeah sure, as if that's believable"
"I know you want to be special to me darling but this is not the case"
This time she's the one rolling her eyes, but I swear I saw a bit of blush on her cheeks.
"Just get your ass suited up, we're needed on the field"
"Already?"
"They have a location so we need to get going"
"Alright, give me a few minutes"
"I'll be waiting outside"
"Aw, you're waiting for me? How cute"
"Shut up or the next thing I do is throwing you in the ocean"
I gulp as she walks out the door.
Gosh that woman is scary... but hot- What? Nothing...
After I put on the suit that they gave me I walk out. Natasha is there, leaning on the wall, waiting like she said while playing on her phone. I smile and take her phone off her hands before putting it in my pocket.
"I was using that"
"And I want attention. We're both very sad right now"
"Y/n give me back my phone before I make you"
At this I stop playing around and give it back to her.
Now you might think I'm head over hills for her but no, I'm just scared of her when she's serious. I mean, have you seen her?
"If you want attention you can just ask for them"
"I was just playing around"
"I know but it's funny to see you scared of me"
I open my mouth but nothing comes out.
Without saying anything else I start walking away and she follows right behind me laughing.
"Hey Y/n?"
I hum at her
"Why were you so... nervous when you first arrived"
"I wasn't nervous"
"Yeah sure, and I'm a chicken"
I chuckle at her response before replying.
"I was just on alert, that's all"
"Yes, but why?"
"So many questions"
"I'm a spy. That's my job... And I'm very curious too"
"I just don't trust Dr. Banner"
She looks at me and nods
"Me neither. In fact, I have to keep an eye on him"
I roll my eyes again when I hear this
"And why do you have to be the one doing it?"
I say with an annoyed tone in my voice.
At this, she smirks and turns to me stepping in front of me, making me stop.
"Green is his color sweetheart, not yours. Let him keep it and maybe show it for other reasons other than turning into the other guy"
With that said, she walks away leaving me behind.
Is she implying something? Does she want me to make him jealous? I don't think so... We are not even together. We're just friends... right?
