Multi-POV
IT HAD BEEN six months since the Targaryens have arrived and tonight marked the annual celebration of the Lord of Light. This season Magister Illyrio was hosting in his palace in his great Hall, and the celebration started strictly once the sun had set.
As the Targaryen siblings entered the great hall for the celebration, Viserys couldn't help but notice the sea of people celebrating the "Lord of Light" in their own, unique way. The hall was filled with colorful decorations - candles, flowers, and flags - all representing different aspects of the Lord of Light. The scent of cooking meat and wine filled the air, making Viserys hungry and thirsty, but he refused to partake in the festivities.
As he observed the crowd, he saw the familiar face of Reyna, dressed in the traditional clothes of the Pentoshi, with a vibrant orange veil covering her hair.
Reyna was dressed in an orange silky, transparent dress that had a few hints of blue. The dress was almost like several shawls layered on top of each other, creating a flowing and ethereal effect. It was a stunning piece of clothing, one that showed off her figure in a tasteful yet alluring way. The fabric flowed and danced around her as she moved, creating a hypnotic effect that made it seem as though she was gliding across the floor. Despite the transparency of the dress, it was still very modest, with all the important areas fully covered. It was a perfect outfit for a celebration, one that showed off her beauty and grace while still being appropriate for the occasion.
He watched as she laughed with whoever she was speaking with, her hips swaying to the rhythm, and wondered what it would be like to have her for himself. But those thoughts were interrupted as the crowd suddenly fell silent, and a tall, imposing figure entered, cloaked in red and carrying a flaming sword.
The High Priest of the Lord of Light stepped forward and addressed the crowd in a booming voice, speaking of the power of the Lord of Light to bring light to the darkness, and how the Lord's representatives on earth, the Red Priests and Priestesses, were chosen to carry out the will of the Lord.
And as more people gathered for the celebration, Prince Diavel, the Prince of Pentos, made his way through the crowd, greeting his subjects and enjoying the festivities. At one point, he saw Reyna, dressed in the traditional clothes of the Pentoshi, with a vibrant orange veil covering her dark hair. He was set on getting her to to use her lovely voice and was determined to hear it for himself.
As the crowd was distracted by the other performers, Prince Diavel approached Reyna, making small talk and offering compliments on her appearance. Reyna was gracious, but she could sense a hint of condescension in his words.
"You look beautiful tonight, my lady," he said, taking her hand and kissing it lightly. "And I know you have a lovely voice. Perhaps you could grace us with a song?" He said obnoxiously loud, the guests quieting down to listen to what their prince was saying.
Reyna looked around at the crowd, her eyes growing wider and her heart beating faster as she realized what the Prince was asking of her. She was still an outsider in this world, surrounded by foreign customs and strangers who seemed to be so at home in this environment. She felt a lump form into her, as the eyes of everyone were on her, the people whispering "venefica", expecting something from her. She wanted to run, to hide away and never be seen again.
"I cannot sing," she whispered, her voice angry as she glared at the Prince. "I'm not good enough."
But Prince Diavel would not be deterred. He gently cupped her chin in his hand, forcing her to look him in the eye. "Of course you are," he said warmly. "Your voice is the most beautiful I have ever heard."
Despite her reluctance, Reyna could not be seen saying no to the Prince and agreed to sing for the crowd. She sighed, walking to the front of the Grand Hall.
Reyna closed her eyes and took a deep breath, then began to sing a made up song she had written late at night whilst staring at the stars, her voice filling the hall with a sound so sweet it made even the hardest of hearts melt.
"I've seen the world, done it all, had my cake now
Diamonds, brilliant, and so fair now
Hot summer nights, midnight
When you and I were forever wild
The crazy days, city lights
The way you'd play with me like a child"
As Reyna sang, she felt a surge of energy coursing through her veins. She was lost in the moment, her entire being focused on her words and chords. She could hear herself singing, her voice rising and falling like a wave in perfect harmony with the music. And soon she heard some of the bards play their instruments in tune with how she was singing
But it wasn't just the music that filled her with such joy. As she performed, her eyes wandered over the crowd and she noticed Dany standing in the back, her silver hair shimmering in the candlelight as she listened intently.
"Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me when I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will, I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?"
Dany was the first person Reyna had made a true connection with in this foreign land, and even though they came from different worlds, they seemed to understand each other in a way that few others did.
"Dear Lord, when I get to Heaven
Please let me bring my man
When he comes, tell me that you'll let him in
Father, tell me if you can
All that grace, all that body
All that face makes me wanna party
He's my sun, he makes me shine like diamonds"
And as she sang the bridge, what she noticed most was the way Viserys was watching her, his eyes locked on her as if he was drinking in every word she sang.
Reyna was conflicted. She knew that Viserys was not a good man, she had seen first-hand how he had treated his own sister, Dany, with a disdain that was almost unfathomable. And yet, she couldn't help but feel something for him, a strange attraction that she couldn't explain. She hated herself for feeling anything for him, but she couldn't deny the pull that he held for her. She felt disgusted and ashamed of herself.
And yet, as she looked over at Viserys, sitting in the back of the hall, she saw him watching her with a smile on his face, and she knew that she didn't want to lose that feeling. But if she knew one thing at all, it was that this did not seem like it would have a good ending.
"Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me when I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will, I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?"
As she finished the song, the crowd erupted in applause, their hands clapping in rhythm to the beat of her heart. Reyna felt a rush of pride and happiness that she had never felt before, as if a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. She had given it her all, and she had risen to the occasion, exceeding even her own expectations.
In that moment, Reyna felt truly alive, her passion and resolve burning brighter than ever before. She was determined to make a difference in this world, to carve out her own path and make her own way.

As Reyna began to sing, Viserys sat in the back of the hall, his eyes locked on her. He had always known that she was beautiful, with her long dark hair and almond-shaped eyes. But in that moment, as she sang with passion and conviction, he felt a stirring in his heart that he couldn't quite explain.
He was used to always being the center of attention, the Prince of Dragonstone and rightful heir to the Iron Throne. But in the presence of Reyna, he couldn't help but feel a sense of adoration towards her. She was so radiant, her voice so sweet, that it was hard for him to look away.
As she continued to sing, Viserys found himself lost in her voice, transported to a place where he suddenly felt at peace. He forgot about the politics and the pressures of the world around him and was only focused on her.
As she finished her song, the crowd erupted in applause and Viserys found himself joining in, his hands clapping along with the rest of the hall. Suddenly, he realized that he had a smile on his face, a genuine smile that he hadn't felt in a long time. He needed to make her his.

With the last note of her song ringing in the air, Reyna took a deep breath and let out a sigh of satisfaction. She had done it! She had conquered the stage and won the hearts of the crowd. And to her surprise, she felt a deep sense of contentment and joy, something she had never felt before.
As she walked towards Dany, her heart raced with anticipation. She had never been much of a performer and never expected to feel such a thrill from singing in public. But standing before Dany now, she felt like she could take on the world.
"You were incredible," Dany said softly, a smile spreading across her face as she looked up at Reyna. "I've never heard you sing like that before."
"Thank you," Reyna said, her voice still trembling with emotion. "I didn't realize how much I missed singing until now."
"Well, you won't have to miss it anymore," Dany said with a smile. "I'm sure this won't be the last time you'll be singing for a crowd."

After the celebration had ended and the crowds began to disperse, Viserys approached Reyna with a small smile on his face. He began by complimenting her on her singing, telling her how beautiful her voice sounded and how much he enjoyed her performance. Reyna blushed at the compliment, feeling a sense of accomplishment that she had never felt before.
But Viserys did not stop there. He went on to comment on how lovely she looked in her Pentoshi attire, telling her how her dark hair and green eyes caught the candlelight and made her even more radiant. Reyna felt a sudden wave of self-consciousness wash over her, her heart racing with a mix of excitement and nerves.
"I was wondering," Viserys said, his voice dropping to a low, seductive rasp. "Would you care to join me for a walk? I would love for you to show me some of the gardens."
Reyna's heart was pounding with anxiety, she knew she couldn't reject him outright. Despite him being the 'Beggar King', Viserys still ranked higher than her. To turn down his offers of hospitality would not only be rude, but also potentially dangerous. But she also knew that she couldn't give in to his advances so easily. She needed to find a way to turn him down without angering him.
"I would love to show you the gardens," Reyna said, keeping her tone polite but firm. "But perhaps we can go another time? I'm afraid I must return to my quarters soon."
Viserys smiled, but the smile did not reach his eyes. He could see the fire in Reyna's eyes and the tension in her body, and it only made him want her more.
"Please, Reyna," he said, his voice still low and seductive. "Just a quick walk. I promise I won't take up too much of your time."
And despite her better judgment, Reyna knew she couldn't say no. She let him take her arm and lead her out of the hall and into the night.
As they walked through the gardens, Viserys continued to make advances, telling her how beautiful she was, how much he wanted her. Reyna felt like a trapped animal, her heart racing with fear and disgust. But she knew she couldn't show her true feelings, not if she wanted to survive.
Finally, Viserys took her hand and pulled her to him, his lips moving to kiss her. Reyna turned her head away, but he wouldn't let go. He held her tighter, his breath hot on her neck, as he pressed himself against her.
Panic rose in Reyna's throat as she tried to push him away. "Please, stop," she whispered. "I don't want this."
In that moment, Viserys' expression changed. The desire in his eyes faded and was replaced with pure anger. "What do you mean, you don't want this?" he growled. "I am a prince, I can have anyone I want. And I want you."
Reyna felt as if she was going to be nauseous. She knew she had to find a way to get out of this situation, to get away from him before it was too late. But she also knew that she couldn't show him her fear. She had to be strong, she had to be bold.
And so, with a deep breath, she looked Viserys in the eyes and said, in a clear and steady voice, "I want you to let go of me, now."
Viserys was taken aback by Reyna's confidence, her determination, but once he realised that he was not getting through to her, his nose started flaring, his lips tightened into a straight line, and then the insults came.
As Viserys continued to advance on her, Reyna felt her heart sinking lower into despair. With each passing moment, his insults became more and more brutal, more and more personal. He attacked her character, her abilities, her worth. And even though she knew he was just trying to hurt her, his words cut deep.
"Your father never cared about you at all," he sneered, his tone dripping with contempt. "He sent you to Pentos to be rid of you, to get you out of his sight. He didn't care if you lived or died."
Reyna flinched at the words, but she refused to let him see her pain. She was stronger than that, more resilient than that. She would not give him the satisfaction of seeing her cry.
But as he continued to hurl insults at her, she could feel the tears building up in her eyes. She hated him for making her feel this way, for making her doubt herself, for making her feel like she was nothing. She wanted to scream, to cry, to let it all out. But she refused to give in.
And then, just when she thought she couldn't take anymore, Viserys stopped. He was suddenly silent, as if he was ashamed of what he had done. And for a moment, Reyna thought she saw something in his eyes that she never had before - a hint of regret, a fraction of compassion.
But then he spoke again, his words filled with a new kind of cruelty. "Stop crying," he commanded. "You're a monster, you know that? A pathetic, worthless monster with unnatural abilities. What kind of woman are you?"
And those were the words that finally broke her. Reyna felt the tears streaming down her face as she turned and fled, leaving Viserys behind. She hated him, she hated what he had done to her, and she hated herself for letting him. But more than anything, she hated the fact that she had let her emotions get the better of her.
And so she walked away, her heart heavy with regret and pain, her mind filled with the echoes of Viserys' insults and the knowledge that she would never be able to forget them.

As Viserys watched Reyna walk away, a sense of confusion washed over him. He had never felt anything like this before - a mix of guilt and regret, a sense that he had done something wrong, something he couldn't take back. But he didn't know what to do with those feelings, didn't know how to articulate them, didn't know where they came from.
He had always been told to be strong, to show no weakness, to take what he wanted and care for no one but himself. And yet, here he was, feeling something he didn't understand, something that made him feel like an outsider in his own mind.
He didn't know why he had let himself lose control like that, why he had let his anger and desire for power get the better of him. All he knew was that he had somehow hurt Reyna, had said things that he couldn't take back.
As he stood there, watching Reyna disappear from his view, he felt like he was standing at a crossroads - a fork in the path of his life where he had to choose which direction to take. He could continue down the path of power and control, of anger and hatred, or he could turn and walk down a new path - one where he acknowledged his weaknesses, his vulnerabilities, his fears.
In the end, it was that desire for power and control that won out. Viserys couldn't bear the thought of being vulnerable, of being seen as weak, of allowing himself to feel the emotions that he was feeling. And so he chose the first path - the one that he knew, the one that was familiar to him.
He turned away from the path of weakness and vulnerability, away from the emotions that he didn't understand, and towards the path of strength and power. He chose to bury those feelings deep down, to lock them away where they wouldn't interfere with his desire for control.

Reyna walked towards the cliff, her eyes fixed on the Narrow Sea that stretched before her, separating her from her family. The tears she had been holding back since her encounter with Viserys finally burst free, rolling down her cheeks as she let out a deep, anguished sob. Her heart ached with the weight of everything she had just been through, and all she wanted was to escape - to return to her home and the arms of her mother.
As Reyna sat on the cliff, she couldn't help but think about what Viserys had said. His words had pierced through her like an arrow, leaving her with a pain so deep that it felt like it might never heal. She hated herself for being different, for having these powers that seemed to only bring her pain and suffering.
In that moment, Reyna couldn't help but wonder if Viserys was right. Was she a monster? Was she something unnatural, something that shouldn't exist? She had tried so hard to suppress her abilities, to conform to the expectations of everyone around her, but it was never enough. She was a walking paradox, a creature caught between two worlds, never fully accepted in either.
And it was that realization that made her hate the gods more than anything. Why had they given her these powers? Why had they forced her to endure a life of pain and suffering, when all she wanted was to be with her family, to be part of something greater than herself?
Reyna's heart ached as she gazed out at the sea, wishing with all her might that she could turn back time, that she could erase the powers from her very existence. She would give anything for that chance, to live the life she had always dreamt of, without the constant fear and rejection that seemed to follow her everywhere she went.
After some time, she heard a faint rustling of fabric beside her. Reyna glanced over to see Daenerys had seated herself next to her, a look of concern etched on her face.
As Reyna looked at Dany, her eyes filled with anger and frustration, and she let out a huff of breath.
"I hate your brother," Reyna said, her voice choked with pain. "He's cruel, he's selfish, he's -"
"I know," Dany said, cutting Reyna off before she could say any more. She nodded, her own eyes filled with sadness. "Sometimes I hate him too," she said softly.
Reyna looked at Daenerys and saw the pain written clearly on her face. Personally, Reyna did not know what it was like to have a sibling who was so often consumed with his own desires and ambitions, so willing to step over or even onto anyone in order to get what he wanted.
As they sat together in silence, leaning against each other for support, Reyna and Daenerys found solace in the knowledge that they were not alone.
They had each other.
Tonight had been so amazing until Viserys ruined it.
Reyna turned to Dany with tears shining in her green eyes. "He's right, Dany. I am a monster," she said, her voice quivering with emotion. "If it wasn't for my powers, I would have still been with my family, I wouldn't have to hide who I am. I hate this, I hate myself, I hate the gods for making me this way."
Dany's expression softened as she saw the pain in Reyna's eyes. She put her arm around Reyna and pulled her into a hug, trying her best to offer comfort. "It's alright." she began, her voice barely above a whisper. "You're not a monster. You're just... you, and there's nothing wrong with that."
Reyna sniffled and buried her face into Dany's shoulder.
"But I don't belong here," she whispered, her voice filled with grief. "I don't belong anywhere. I'm... I'm not like everyone else, Dany. I don't belong in your world, and I don't belong in my own."
Dany's heart ached for her friend, for the pain that she was clearly feeling. She stroked Reyna's hair gently, trying to offer some solace. "You belong here with me," she said softly.
Dany looked up at the full moon as she whispered to Reyna, "I will always be here for you, Reyna. Until the sun stops shining and the moon no longer glows."
Reyna nodded as she repeated Dany's words, her voice filled with emotion. "Until the sun stops shining and the moon no longer glows."
Dany wrapped her arm around Reyna, pulling her closer to her, and Reyna laid her head on Dany's shoulder. As they watch the moon together, Dany could feel Reyna's breathing becoming more steady, and she took pride in know that she had helped ease some of the pain that Reyna had been carrying.
