Lucian held the [Aesir Might Medallion] in his hand as he approached the two towering, huge doors of the gate.

As soon as he arrived in front of the gate, he pushed forward the Medallion, and the blue gem at its center glowed a radiant white as the gates started opening.

The two huge doors revealed a grand hallway that appeared fit for royalty, adorned with gold and silver. Lucian put the Medallion back in his inventory and proceeded down the hallway.

As soon as he entered the hall, a notification appeared, and the gate doors behind him closed, seemingly trapping him.

[You have entered the boss room]

[Place - Hall of the Slain | Type - Boss room]

Lucian ignored the notification and looked ahead.

Before him lay a magnificent, lengthy hallway, flanked on each side by a stunning array of statues depicting Valkyries and warriors. Each sculpture bore a unique name or narrative, inscribed on stone plaques at their bases.

Lucian approached one of the statues and read the inscription:

[Mighty Valkyrie - Lemindrhldr, a warrior who sacrificed herself for her lord.]

The story was long and detailed, recounting the tale of a Valkyrie who had been unwaveringly devoted to her lord. She had made the ultimate sacrifice, giving her life to buy him precious time to escape from the World-devourer.

Lucian read the story while admiring the exquisitely detailed statue.

Every part of the sculpture seemed so lifelike that it appeared as though it might spring to life at any moment. He can only imagine the amount of data used to put everything in place, and make everything look so lifelike.

Lucian truly appreciated the incredible attention to detail in Yggdrasil. The game's graphic designers were undoubtedly talented geniuses who put an immense amount of creativity and hard work into every fine detail.

"I also want to create my own NPCs," Lucian muttered to himself as he continued to explore the hall.

Lucian had been contemplating for a while. This game had a function that allowed players to create custom NPCs, offering extensive customization options. They could essentially become gods, fashioning characters of their choice, whether they wanted a princess or a slave. However, custom NPCs could only be obtained by owning a guild and conquering a dungeon.

Conquering a guild dungeon, a unique type of dungeon that could serve as a guild's base after its defeat, granted players the ability to create custom NPCs to safeguard their guild. These NPCs were among the best features of Yggdrasil, and Lucian couldn't deny it. Players had complete control over their appearance, classes, and even the option to craft backstories and lore for them. Whether they were to be mages, warriors, tanks, or any other role, it was entirely up to the player's imagination.

Lucian halted in his tracks as he reached the end of the hallway. Before him lay a colossal exit, an open gateway that seemed to lead outside. However, this gate was unlike the previous ones. Instead of doors, it was obscured by a warped veil, as though space itself had been distorted there.

Lucian was well aware that he would have to face the boss once he entered the area.

"I should probably use my lance today," Lucian muttered to himself as he scrolled through his inventory, contemplating which lance would be the best choice to confront this boss.

Coming to a conclusion, Lucian reached into his inventory and brought out a white, pristine lance. The lance's appearance was striking, with its white body accented by swirling purple patterns that twisted along its length. Its handle was pitch black, adorned with a shimmering purple gem at the base. At the tip of the lance, another radiant purple gem gleamed, making the weapon a truly beautiful sight.

It was a lance that Lucian had painstakingly crafted weeks ago, dedicating three full days to its creation. The lance's body was forged from one of the rarest and most powerful physical metals known as Astralithium. This metal possessed a unique property that allowed it to blend seamlessly with other magical metals without diminishing its physical attack stats. In this case, Lucian had expertly combined it with Aetherium at the tip of the lance, enhancing its magical attack power while retaining the raw attack power stats of the Astralithium. This combination made it an exceptionally potent weapon.

But that wasn't the end of its impressive craftsmanship. The handle of the lance was made from Obsidian Draconic Scale, a material obtained from an Obsidian Elder Dragon Raid boss. This metal added to the lance's overall strength and durability. To top it all off, the lance featured a captivating purple gem at its center, known as the [Nether Manticore's Magical Heart]. This gem possessed a wide range of properties that were integral to the lance's power and functionality. And all of these was topped off with enormous amounts of data Crystals to add a staggering amount of abilities and skills to it. This weapon, if counted had a data capacity, higher then any normal or even most Powerful divine-class weapons.

As Lucian took in the lance, his gaze fixed on the gate ahead, and he proceeded to walk toward it.

Upon reaching the end of the gate, he passed through a shimmering veil that resembled water but was actually a distortion in space. It gave him the sensation similar to using a Gate or other dimensional-type spell, obscuring his vision of what lay on the other side.

Lucian emerged from the gate and was greeted by a startling sight.

He gasped as his eyes fell upon what seemed to be a gruesome battlefield. He found himself standing on a river of blood, its crimson surface mirroring the otherwise serene blue sky, creating an eerie and unsettling contrast. The ground itself was drenched in blood, resembling a massive, flowing river.

Lucian muttered to himself, "This looks pretty appalling now..."

As he gazed around, he saw countless graves of fallen warriors extending as far as the eye could see. Weapons of these fallen heroes were stuck in the ground, like monuments to the valor and sacrifice that had taken place on this blood-soaked battlefield.

Lucian focused his attention on the rectangular screen in the center of his vision.

[Place - Valhalla | Type : Boss room]

Lucian gazed ahead and spotted a massive, elderly man standing in the center of the battlefield.

The man was adorned in golden armor, his long white beard flowed down his chest. One of his eyes shone with a brilliant gold, while the other was concealed by an eye patch. Long, flowing white hair trailed behind him as he clutched a spear that emitted a radiant golden glow, much like his armor and the aura surrounding him. Perched upon his shoulders were two black and white ravens, one on each side.

"[Welcome back, brave warrior, to the heart of Valhalla. I see that fire in your eyes—the same fire that brought you here as an «Hero». But today, it's time to remember your strength-] "

Lucian observed as the boss began a lengthy speech, but he kept a close eye on its status and HP bar.

[First Avatar Of Odin]

HP - 700/700

MP - 300/300

Class - SP Raid Boss

Lucian couldn't help but be shocked by the boss's monstrous HP and MP stats. Even the other raid bosses he had faced didn't have this much HP. It was enormous, and he had a feeling it would take a long time to defeat Odin, especially with the lengthy speech still ongoing. While Lucian usually enjoyed listening to the stories and details in these speeches, today he felt the urgency to defeat the boss quickly so he could sign up for the world tournament.

"Just hurry up old man!" Lucian couldn't contain his impatience any longer and shouted at Odin to hurry up. After two more minutes, Odin finally concluded his speech, and it was time to get ready for battle.

"[Get ready, draw your weapon, and let your courage shine. This fight isn't just against me—it's against your own hesitation. Show me that you're ready to embrace your strength once more!]" Odin proclaimed.

As soon as the boss's dialogue ended, Lucian showed a determined smile and readied his lance. The two ravens perched on Odin's shoulder immediately flew toward Lucian, while Odin raised his hand, causing multiple magic circles to appear on the ground.

"Starting with the mobs, huh?" Lucian remarked as he observed the two gigantic ravens coming at him. One of them flew directly toward him, its glowing black beak poised to attack. The other raven swung its wings, creating multiple wind blades aimed at Lucian. However, in an instant, he vanished from their position, reappearing right in front of the raven that was using its wings to unleash wind blades.

"No wonder people say birds are drones made by the government. When birds are this stupid, it's pretty hard to argue against it," Lucian remarked as he appeared before one of the ravens and thrust his glowing lance right at its head, dealing critical damage...

[-87]

Lucian glanced at the bird's remaining HP, realizing it still had over 100 HP left, which surprised him.

The other raven swung its glowing wings, launching sharp talon-like projectiles toward Lucian. However, Lucian's lance transformed into a shield, swirling open like an umbrella to protect him from the incoming attacks.

"Oops, there, was that a poisonous attack? No wonder my lance reacted," Lucian muttered as he dodged the raven that was now attempting to attack him with its glowing beak. He then jumped towards the real boss, Odin.

"Let's see your defenses!" Lucian exclaimed as two wings tore through his armor. Two golden wings, radiant and otherworldly, propelled him forward with lightning fast speed. Their radiant golden glow contrasting sharply with the battlefield's eerie setting. These were not his typical vampiric wings but rather Transcendant wings. He soared towards Odin, preparing to use one of his skills while eyeing the gigantic boss who was about to strike him with his spear.

"[Eldurhidlr]!" Lucian shouted, taking control and manually activating his Valkyrae. His entire avatar underwent a breathtaking transformation. His immaculate and handsome appearance shifted into an even more exquisite and androgynous beauty, alluring and ethereal. A red flame enveloped his armor, blazing with a fierce intensity, as if it could devour the entire world. His once-blonde hair transformed into a fiery, crimson cascade, and the golden outlines of his armor emitted a brilliant and radiant glow.

"Let's find out if you can withstand this one-hit kill move," Lucian said, wearing a bewitching smile as he gracefully dodged a raven mob summoned by Odin's magic. The moment it entered Lucian's passive abilities' radius, it burst into flames.

Lucian gazed at the colossal figure of Odin, firmly gripping his lance.

"[Star Solaris]," Lucian shouted, manually activating the skill. His white lance started glowing a fiery red and became engulfed in flames. The purple gem at its tip gleamed with a crimson light, as if it were absorbing the flames and concentrating them for a final, devastating attack.

High in the sky, Lucian pulled back his lance as if it were an arrow, taking careful aim at the forehead of the First Avatar of Odin. The fiery aura surrounding him coalesced into a bow shape, and with a powerful draw, he released the flaming lance. It shot like an arrow, piercing through the air with incredible force, heading straight for Odin's forehead.

Boom!

The entire area was bathed in a brilliant red light for a fleeting moment, as if the entire world itself was rupturing and burning, as if the sun itself was descending. What followed was a deafening and piercing sound, one that would have hurt Lucian's ears if he hadn't wisely muted the volume.
