Law was passed out and Corazon was panicking as he didn't know what to do. Then a thought came to mind and he started heading to a hidden island. It took some time before he reached the secret island. Picking up Law he ran onto the island trying to find the house hidden within the forest.
"M/n! Are you there?!"
He banged on the door while yelling for M/n.
"What are you doing here Rosina- oh that's right it's Corazon now"
Turning around Corazon saw the h/c hair male he was looking for.
"Please M/n I need your help!"
"My help?! After what you did! Do you think I'm stupid?!"
"Please M/n he'll die if you don't help!"
M/n finally looked down at Corazon's arms and saw a boy.
"He has-"
"Please help him I know you can"
M/n sighed and opened his door letting Corazon bring the boy inside.
"Look I'm doing this for him not you. I won't forgive what you did"
"I......I know just please help him"
M/n told him what room to put the boy before locking him out. Corazon paced as he waited to hear anything about how Law was. But he didn't hear anything as the whole time M/n never came out.
Meanwhile inside M/n was busy trying to clean Law's blood. It wasn't a easy thing to do but M/n has done this before. Once for his brother, his mother and brother had it. They had the white lead disease and their mother died first. They were turned down by everyone, nobody wanted to help.
"Don't worry kid I'll do as much as I can to save you"
Looking at Law M/n remembered when his own brother laid on the bed. How his brother told him to not worry that he knew it was too late for him.
How before his brother took his last breath he made Rosinante promise to protect M/n. M/n shook his head getting rid of the memories. Right now he wanted to save this kid.
The whole night M/n worked on cleaning the lead from Law's blood. He had even passed out right before he could see if Law's blood was clean.
(Law's pov)
Man my body hurts too much. I tried to sit up but my body hurts too much. Looking around I noticed I wasn't outside like I was before passing out. Did Corazon find a doctor? I questioned as I saw all the medicine and herbs around the room.
It doesn't matter they won't be able to help me anyways. I finally noticed the doctor, I guess that's who they are. Geez what kind of doctor falls asleep when they have a patient. I went to get up but ended up falling.
The sound of something falling woke up M/n. Looking at where the sound came from M/n saw Law on the ground.
"Oh no you can't get up yet your body is too weak right now"
M/n carefully picked up Law laying him back on the bed.
"I don't need your help!"
M/n was taken back by Law yelling at him. But know the boy didn't know him and could be scared.
"It's ok little one I won't hurt you but you shouldn't push your body too much"
"Shut up! I don't need you and there's nothing you can do to help me!"
"Huh oh right the lead!"
M/n quickly drew some of Law's blood and checked it.
"Yes I did it!"
Law was confused and scared, what did this stranger do to him. M/n turned to the boy and grabbed him by his shoulders.
"Your blood it's clean! You're going to be ok"
Tears fell from Law's eyes.
"I'm........going to live?"
"Yes you are, you're going to be able to grow up now"
A knock came from the door.
"M/n please just talk to me, is Law ok?"
M/n ignored Corazon as he walked away from Law. Law looked at the door then back at M/n.
"You know Corazon?"
"You can go but should take it easy"
Law watched as M/n went back to his desk. Just as Law was about to open the door Corazon started talking again.
"Please M/n I'm sorry I listened to Doflamingo and left you just please help the kid"
M/n ignored Corazon's words as he went back to researching. Law was confused about what was going on. Who was this M/n and how did he know Corazon? Law walked out the door and saw Corazon at the door.
"Law you're ok!"
Corazon hugged the boy as he was happy that he was ok now.
"Thank-"
Corazon looked up and saw the door was closed with M/n on the other side.
"-you"
"Oi Corazon what's the deal with you two?"
"Don't worry about it kid"
Corazon walked from the door leaving Law behind as he went outside.
(Law's pov)
There's something he's hiding and I'm going to figure it out.
Timeskip
It's night! I spent all day trying to find out what Corazon was hiding but I couldn't. Maybe I should try looking in that room I woke up in. But there was nothing but medicine and herbs not to mention the countless letters to someone named Rosin- or was it Ross. Maybe Corazon knows this person then I might be able to ask them. I ran out to the yard where Corazon was.
"Oi idiot!"
"What do you want kid?"
"Who's Rosin- or was it Ross?"
Law was having trouble remembering the name on the letters.
"Ross? wait was the name Rosinante?"
"Oh yeah that's it, that's the name!"
The look in Corazon's eyes told me he knew who it was.
"Why do you want to know about that name?"
"I saw letters to that person in the doctor's room"
"Letters?"
"Yeah"
Corazon just got up and walked inside.
(Corazon's pov)
He wrote letters to me but why he hates me. I walked to the door and knocked on it.
"M/n please open the door"
"......"
"Please I want to talk about what happened"
"......."
"I'm sorry I left, I'm sorry I listened to my brother. I'm sorry I didn't protect you like I had promised. I was stupid and left you I know I can never change what I did but..."
I took a deep breath before continuing.
"I'm sorry I abandoned you here and for leaving after you went to sleep that night"
"Right after we got married"
M/n finally talked to me.
"You had left me that night. You lied and left me"
"I know and I'm sorry just please let me make it up to you I'll do anything M/n..........I still love you"
Corazon leaned against the door, tears gathering in his eyes. Law, who hid behind the corner, listened to Corazon beg the doctor. M/n looked over at the letters he wrote to the man he married. To the man he thought loved him just as much as he loved him. He looked over to the photo of the two that they got when they went to the mainland to get married.
"Why? Why did you do it?"
Corazon was at a loss for words as he didn't know what to say. He was the one to listen to his brother. When Doflamingo had contacted him and told he to come back he should have said no.
But the fact that his brother knew he had got married to someone and said he would find and hurt them. He had no choice but to leave M/n and go back to Doflamingo. That night once M/n had fell asleep after their fun he left. And he felt bad for doing it but he didn't want his brother to hurt M/n.
"I.....just wanted to keep you safe M/n I'm sorry"
The door was unlocked and slowly opened. There stood Corazon's husband with tears in his eyes. M/n looked at Corazon, the pain from that night came back. The pain of him waking up the next morning thinking his husband was there.
Only to find the bed and house empty and him nowhere to be found. M/n spent nights crying and hoping he would come back. But he didn't and M/n swore to never trust him again. But here he is, the man he trusted and loved. The man who claimed he would love him and never leave him.
"M/n I-"
*Slap!*
Corazon's head turned from the force of the slap. The red hand print showing on his cheek as a reminder of what just happened. But what broke Corazon from his trance was the sobs coming from M/n.
He looked at M/n who had tears falling from his eyes. Seeing the one person he promised to protect fall apart in front of him. It showed him just how much damage he did to M/n. He pulled M/n into a hug and rubbed his back trying to calm him down.
"I'm sorry M/n please forgive me. I thought I was protecting you but I only ended up hurting you even more"
Corazon held M/n as he cried into his chest. Law looked at the two even more confused as he still didn't understand what's going on. Then soon it was silent and the two was still holding each other. Corazon finally pulled from the hug and looked down at M/n. M/n looked up at Corazon his eyes puffy from the crying.
"I really do mean everything M/n. I'm sorry I left but I thought it was the right thing to do. Please forgive me"
"But I can't Rosinante I will never be able to get past what you did"
Corazon nodded and let M/n go moving back from him.
"And I don't blame you, I just wanted you to know I still love you"
"I just can't trust you Rosinante besides I was only helping the kid. I still don't want you around so once he's ok you two can leave"
Corazon nodded and walked out as M/n wrapped his arms around himself.
A few days later Law was better and Corazon was getting their things so they could leave. Law was confused because if he cared about the doctor why is he leaving him. He didn't get it why was Corazon so set on leaving again. Meanwhile M/n still ignored Corazon not wanting that small string of hope to grow.
M/n knew he would fall for Rosinante if he just spent time with him. So to prevent that he stayed locked in his office. Sneaking into the office Law grabbed the letters that were collecting dust. He ran back to Corazon and was about to give them to him when Corazon picked him up claiming they were leaving now.
'No we can't I don't want to leave the nice doctor'
Law tried to wiggle out of Corazon's hold but had no luck. Not long after they got in the boat Corazon head sails to anywhere but the hidden island.
(Law's pov)
This isn't fair I didn't want to leave the nice doctor! How dare Corazon make me go with him! Wait the letters there might be a way back to the island in them. I went through the letters but could find anything. They only talked about how much the doctor loved and wished the person would just come home.
"The hell you got there kid"
"No wait!"
But it was too late Corazon had grabbed the letters from me. I watched as he looked over the letters with a confused look.
"What are these?"
"They're the letters for the the doctor's office"
(Corazon's pov)
These letters they were meant for me. He wishes I'd come home. He even said he just a least wanted a letter back. I looked through all the letters reading about how he missed me. Then I spotted a letter that was different from the others. It was the only one that wasn't sealed.
'look I don't care about you anymore. Stop sending your stupid letters. I am having the time of my life and you're ruining it when I see your damn letters. I moved on and want nothing to do with you. If you know what's good for you you'd never contact me again.
Signed Corazon'
I looked at the letter confused as I never got M/n's letter nor wrote to him. So where did this letter come from? Why is it telling M/n to not contact me? Did....did Doflamingo write M/n pretending to be me? No he wouldn't have except he would. That's why M/n doesn't want me around. He thinks I left him and was partying not thinking about him.
Meanwhile back at the island
M/n was finishing making a new medicine. As he was about to start working on another he heard a knock. He opened the door to find no one there.
"Hello is anyone there?"
M/n didn't get an answer as he walked outside. Just as he turned around he was grabbed.
"Ahh!"
"We got him sir"
"Good get him to the ship"
