Alpha Lily Reaper

"I can only tell you what I know." Lisa reluctantly replied.

"I want every last detail Lisa." My father cautioned.

"Especially if you want your son to make it out alive and in one piece. I have nothing stopping me from ripping that bastard apart." Reed threatened. I couldn't help but casually sit in the background while I watched on as the three men in the room gave her nothing but threatening stares.

"I will tell you what I know in exchange for his safety." Lisa bartered. My father simply gestured his hand for her to start talking.

"I don't know a lot. Everyone in The Order is prohibited from speaking about their tasks, their roles, their responsibilities." Lisa started to explain.

"I don't want to have to place a command on you but I don't trust you to be honest." With that Alexander's eyes darkened and for the first time in a while I felt the strength of our bond deepen as his wolf took control. "I command you, as King to reveal nothing but the truth. You will answer any question asked by those in this room. Do you understand?" His voice bellowed.

Lisa reluctantly bowed her head, even if I was on equally footing to Alexander, I still felt the strength and power in his command. It was one thing to ignore the command of an Alpha, but to ignore the reigning King, it was hopeless. A part of me is glad he is intervening, it would save us the effort of trying to work out what was the truth and what was a lie.

"What was your role?" Reed questioned.

"My role was to infiltrate the Lumos pack. I wasn't told much other than my cousin was struggling with her pregnancy and it would be my responsibility to support her as a way in the door. At first I was never told why, it wasn't my role to question it. I had been told that it was my duty to follow the orders of The Order."

"What happened when you got here? Were you in contact with The Order from the moment you stepped here?" My father spat in disgust.

"Yes I was in contact with The Order. I was asked to provide regular updates on any changes in the pack. They asked me to stick to my cousin as she was the Luna. They believed that I would be able to gain information from her." She looked away. I couldn't help but notice there was this guilty look in her eye, however this quickly passed. Her eyes became cold that it sent a shiver down my spine.

"What aren't you saying? There's more and I want every single detail. I know you are hiding something and I want you to reveal what it is you are hiding. Now." My voice commanded through the room. I couldn't help but hesitate to use my power as the rightful Queen Luna. Only Reed was aware of my abilities. He never questioned me on it, he would give me a questioning gaze but never delve into why I was able to do this.

"I... I.... I was responsible for the death of your mother." The words tumbled out of her mouth. "My cousin caught wind of me speaking to The Order. I knew she heard what I had said but she didn't question me further. She became sceptical of me. She held back. When I told The Order my suspicions they sent me a vial and told me to put it in her food. That it would eventually lead to her death."

A pin could have dropped in the room, it was a heavy silence. Both me and Reed passed each other sympathetic glances. For the woman we believed to be our mother, was a murder of our biological mother. It was worst than I expected. The pain in my chest throbbed harder. The injustice given to a woman we never had the chance to know, the woman who had given us life. Before I could dwell on the information, a toe-curling growl was released from my father. He was quick to jump on his feet despite his age and instinctively his hand reached out and clasped around her throat. The pain of his growl was still echoing through the room.

"You killed my mate.... You evil bitch! You killed your cousin! I'll kill you right here! Right now!" I could see his fingers curling into her neck as she gasped for air. Reed was quick to push my father away, ripping him away from Lisa. "Don't you dare stop me from killing her!" His wolf howled in anger.

"Stop.... We need her at the moment. You need to calm down and think straight. You can play with her all you want after we've got what we needed." Reed calmly explained as he held my father by the scruff of his shoulders. My father was struggling to reign his wolf in, his breathing was laboured.

"What did you give the rightful Luna?" Alexander questioned.

"I don't know what it was... I was just told it would weaken her. That I didn't have a choice. It was my duty to ensure that the secrets were safe. It didn't matter if they thought she knew something. They wouldn't risk it. All I can say is that it weakened her further during the pregnancy which led to your children's premature birth."

"What did they ask you do after that?"

"They asked me to get close to the Alpha and his children. That after some time, my father would propose for me to become his chosen mate."

"How could you betray your mate like that?" I spat out.

"He agreed with the plan. He too was part of The Order and knew what needed to be done. It was our responsibility. Our duty." Lisa interjected.

Originally I was feeling sorry for her mate, but her words quickly wiped away any lingering feelings. They were both just as bad as each other. How long had this conditioning been going on? She didn't seem phased or disgusted in their actions. They were proud to be going against every funadmental law of our kind. I couldn't help but shake my head.

"What happened after you became Luna?" Reed replied.

"I was asked to do many things. I was sent more vials and told to distribute them in the pack. I didn't know what was in the vials, it wasn't my job to question the tasks assigned."

"How often were you poisoning this pack? How long?" My father's agonised voice trembled.

"Years, I can't give you the specifics because I don't remember. I can't tell you how many they sent me because I can't count. I simply told the pack chefs that they were nutrients to help the pack grow stronger. They didn't question me because I was Luna." She shoved her chin in the air. I couldn't believe that the gentle and kind woman, was actually this arrogant.

"What else were you asked to do?" Reed continued.

"I was told that they would be sending over some wolves from The Order, that it was my job to ensure that they were able to slip in without suspicion. Other than that I was told to continue monitoring and provide monthly updates. They said they would contact me when they needed something else."

"Continue." Alexander fiercely stated.

"The next time I was called upon was a year before Lucas was born. They requested that I return home. When I arrived it was there that I was ordered by one of The Order members that I would conceive a child with Alpha Dante. They explained that he would one day become the Alpha of the pack and that it was an important role that required sacrifice." Her eyes at this point became tearful.

"It was there that my mate told me that he was dying for the right cause and that he would wait for me in the afterlife. We knew from research that it was not possible to conceive a child if my mate was dead. So he killed himself and I was sent to Alpha Dante's chambers where we conceived Lucas. I simply returned home and told you I was pregnant with your child. It was then that my task had been completed. I then gave birth to Lucas and watched him grow. I didn't hate Lily or Reece... I mean Reed. I did love them but I didn't love them more than my own child. I treated them as well as I could, I knew it was important for me not to lose your trust."

"Did you have anything to do with Lily being framed for my mother's death?" Alexander stated.

Again, she gritted her teeth and turned her head away. "Yes. I didn't kill your mother, the queen. But I was asked to bring Lily to the scene of the crime and ensure that she was knocked out. It was my job to make sure the weapon was found in her hands."

"You fucking bitch." My father scoffed.

"They asked me to make sure that your daughter was disowned and that she would not return to the pack. They needed me to make sure that you didn't give her a place to escape too. Reed was becoming a hinderance and I needed you to question his capabilities as an Alpha to make way for my son, Lucas."

"What do you mean?" My father furrowed his brows.

Reed let out a cold laugh. "That was why you sent me away, you played us against each other."

"Bingo." Lisa smugly replied.

"What are you talking about?" My father's eyes flickered between Reed and Lisa's face.

"Mo- Lisa here, she was the one that encouraged me to make sure my sister's body was not defiled in anyway. She secretly encouraged me to protest against you, she made me despise you for abandoning my sister." He shook his head in disbelief. "That was why when I was trying to find Lily, I was chased by hooligans. They were sent to kill me weren't they?"

"Yes, you were in the way. But fortunately for you, they didn't catch you or kill you. But you disappeared. Who knew that you had saved yourself and your sister?" She cackled in disbelief.

"You said you met The Order Leader? Who is the Leader? What do you know about them?"

"I don't know who they are. No one does. They wear masks. I couldn't even tell you how many there were. No one knows. All we know is that the one in the Golden Mask is a God walking amongst mortals. That his will, is our purpose to serve." She bowed her head meekly, a small smile creeps on her face that only adds to her delusional behaviour.

"How did you get involved with The Order?" I interjected.

Lisa gritted her teeth, her jaw was clenched tight. "My father and mother were both recruited. I was raised with their beliefs. They told me that if I was ever called upon to aid The Order, then it was a great honour that I should never refuse."

Before we can answer any other question, the banging of the dungeon door swings open. Standing there is one of my men. I give him a confused look, knowing that it must be something important as they knew not to disturb us.

"Alpha Reaper forgive us for intruding but you told us to let you know if anything changed." One of my members speaks. I can hear the urgency in his voice, that he had not taken his time to get here.

"What is it?" I look on in confusion.

"Alpha Lucas and a group of pack members left the grounds. We stealthily followed them but lost track of them in the forest. From their actions, it looked like they were heading towards the Royal Pack."

"What?" Reed and my father exclaimed.

It was then that a cold and callous chuckle echoed through the room. Lisa sat in her chair with her head rolled back as the tears flew down her cheeks. "Your too late." She said in between laughs. "Did you really think my son wouldn't know what was going on? Did you believe that you would be safe here? Did you believe that my son was innocent and didn't hold the same values as his mother? I simply needed to keep you here long enough for him to make his escape and warn the others." None of us could help but look at her disbelief. "Your doomed and you have lost your bargaining chip. My son will be safe and there is nothing you can do about it."

With that my father rushed up to her and before we could stop him. He snapped her neck like a twig. He quickly released her from his grip and rubbed his hands on his trousers, while her head loosely hung off her shoulders. She was dead and we were at a dead end again.
