Leah's POV
Saturday
10:11 am
I'm awake in my jolt by the sound of bags zipping.
When I manage to open my eyes I spot Zaidan that's looks like he's packing or something.
I rub my eyes so that I can see more clear.
"Are you going somewhere? " I ask as I manage to sit up in the bed.
"Yah come?" he asks not answering my question and my face lights up.
I don't know where he's going but I want to go with him.
I want to be close to him...
"Where?"
"St.Thomas , Just for business" he says now pacing around the room.
"I'm staying at a Airbnb" he adds.
Isn't that where his family lives?
"Are your family gonna be there?" I ask fearing his response.
I'm definitely not ready for that step.
"No" he only say.
"Aaliyah yuh ask too much questions" he says before kissing his teeth.
You never like answering them.
I always feel like maybe I'm annoying to him.
"I'll just go back home" I say even tho I want to go with him.
He stops what he's doing and gives me a deadpan look.
Did I do something?" my voice low.
He says nothing but continues packing.
I don't know but his face looks as if he's upset.
"Zaidan you can't be upset with me for no reason at all then you don't like communicating" I say now rolling my eyes.
"I don't like communicating?" he stops what he's doing again and looks at me.
He's the one always telling me to say what's on my mind but at the same time he never tells me what is wrong with him.
"I don't..." I start.
"Goodmorning Aaliyah , either come or stay I don't have time... I'm leaving at 11" he says cutting me off then walks inside the bathroom.
Could've just answered my simple question.
I really hate that about him.
I exhale deeply and find my feet off the bed.
I quickly get dress in one of the outfits I bought from the boutique.
Minutes after Zaidan comes out of the bathroom.
"The car is open you can wait on me out there , I'm driving the Porsche" he says handing me the keys before walking over to his closet.
"I'm coming out now"
"I'll take your bag" he adds.
"Okay" I say leaving the room.
The morning looks foggy cold outside.
"Morning" I say when I spot the security.
There was another one here the other night that I don't know of.
"Morning" he acknowledges me with a smile.
"How are you?" I ask.
"Everything good from yuh have life enuh" he tells me.
"Boss" he says after and I look around to see Zaidan.
"Yeah mi general" he replies.
"Yuh really mek mi reach out here and yuh nuh inna di car" he says passing me in a rush.
" I'm still outside the car is literally right there" I say looking over at him.
This isn't necessary at all.
Zaidan's POV
I put the bags in the back of the car and Leah gets in the passenger side.
"Make sure your not leaving anything" I say as I enter the car.
She nods and I drive off.
"You still need to get some stuff at your place?" I asks breaking the silence.
"Yeah" her voice calm.
I told her we can just go get some clothes than drive all the way to her apartment but she said she wants her makeup and all those other girl shit.
Why she even needs makeup?
I wasn't planning to take her with me because it really makes no sense when I'm just going for business and I'm barely gonna be at the airbnb.
I'm glad that she's gonna be close to me and not all the way in Kingston tho...Might as well.
"I want to listen to some music" she says.
"Connect your phone" I tell her.
She starts singing as the song comes on.
Can't even sing to save her life.
We arrived at the Airbnb and Aaliyah has been touring the whole place.
"It's so pretty out here" she says impressed.
I like seeing her like this.
I'm distracted when my phone rings again for the hundredth time.
"Let me take this" I say to Aaliyah before answering the phone.
"Boss wi reach inna di place enuh" Shoota says through the speaker.
"Ah we will link a di restaurant bout 7 or 8 " I say before hanging up.
"Going on the road now , I'll be back soon " I say now looking at Aaliyah.
I need to link my mom.
Then check on the restaurant.
"Already?" she ask with puppy eyes.
One reason I shouldn't take her.
"Aaliyah" I warn her.
"Is the chef coming still?" she asks.
"Yeah she should be here soon" I say checking the time on my phone.
"Okay daddy I'll see you later then " she says seductively looking at me.
"Watch me and yuh tonight " I say shaking my head passing her.
4:45 pm
"My lovely son" my mom says opening her arms for a hug.
"Look how mi likkle son tall ova mi" she says looking at me as we release from the hug.
I chuckle and shake my head.
"Gabby deh here?" I ask her.
My cousin can keep Aaliyah company since I'm barely gonna be at the Airbnb even tho she talks anything and I don't trust her with Aaliyah.
I still want her to have a little company.
I think it's the first time she's been in St.Thomas as well so I want her to enjoy her time here.
"Yes she took jaden to get icecream not too long ago" She says smiling.
I know she's glad to see me.
"I bought a plant for you...it's in the car" I tell her.
She has plants everywhere...outside and almost everywhere in the house.
Growing up I couldn't even touch one of them.
Still can't.
"Uncle!" Jaden shouts my name from behind me.
"Wah gwan bad boy ? "
"You a gwan run off di grung fi mi enuh " I say bumping his fist.
"Yuh good?" I ask looking at gabby now.
She nods.
"So when are we gonna meet your little girlfriend Zaidan" my mom says placing down a plate of food infront of me.
"Which girlfriend ? " I ask looking up at her as if I'm confused.
Of course she's gonna know about her but not right now.
"I know you don't have to hide...I just hope you don't mess this one up because I want my grandchildren" She says.
Always do the most.
"Jah..." I mumble and continue to eat my food.
She will never stop so I don't bother to push the conversation further.
I get up minutes after and put my plate in the sink.
I walk outside to my mom now watering her plants.
I get to my car and open the car trunk to get the plant for her.
"Here it is" I say putting the plant down.
"Thank you" she tells me giving me a warm smile.
I love seeing her happy so I bought her a plant that I know makes her happy.
Anything fi mek mommy smile.
"Yuh nuh plan to stop full up di place a plants mum ?" I ask her looking around.
"Gwan a yuh yard and lowe mi and mi plants them" she says and I laugh.
"Your father used to say that same exact thing and you came the same way"
I have stuff to get done for the rest of the day and it's already getting late.
I wish I could stay longer but can't.
Only if she lived in Kingston. I tried getting a place in Kingston for her but she refused to leave St.Thomas.
So I really can't do nothing about it.
"Lata" I say giving her a hug.
"Love yuh mi son" she says kissing me on all over my face.
She always does this.
I shake my head and walk off after.
I hear her laughter behind me and I smile because I know she can't see me.
"Tell Gabby forward" I say walking towards my car.
I still have to link up with Blackman and shoota but I need to drop Gabby to the place first.
I check the time.
