Asmodeus's POV
"Why are you here?" I asked my brother, Lucifer.
"I told you on the phone, I want to meet your future wife. It's not often a prince of Hell takes someone as a wife. In fact, it's so rare it's never happened before." He walked closer to me, "I know you're up to something. There must be something special about this woman for her to have caught your attention. For Hell's sake, she's pregnant with some mutts' babies!" He stopped only a few inches from me before continuing, "I'm going to figure out what's so special about her, and you can't stop me." He taunted before turning on his heel to walk away. He went and sat down on my couch, making himself at home.
"Chop, chop, brother, bring her here so I can assess her." He waved his hand dismissively.
I growled and stomped off toward's Sophie's room to get Rose.
Rose's POV
"Rose, come meet my brother." Asmodeus called out through the door.
I stood up and straightened out my dress before putting flats back on and exiting Sophie's room with her trailing closely behind. Asmodeus then wrapped his arm around my shoulders to guide me to the living room. When we entered he placed a kiss on my neck and told me to behave. I felt shivers travel down my spine.
"Lucifer, this is my fiancée, Rose. Rose, this is my brother, Lucifer." Asmodeus introduced us to one another.
The man sitting on the couch stood up and walked to me to shake my hand in greeting. He was taller than Asmodeus with even larger muscles. He had chestnut brown hair, green eyes and his voice was the deepest I'd ever heard.
He then pulled me into him and gave me a hug whispering in my ear, "it's a pleasure to meet you, Rose." Before he released me he gave me a kiss on the cheek and looked deep into my eyes before saying, "why does my brother want you?"
"Okay Lucifer, release my fiancée." Asmodeus said as he pulled me away.
"Um hello, what am I chopped liver?" Sophie muttered behind me. Lucifer chuckled and moved to shake her hand, before introducing himself to her.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Lucifer. And you are?" He questioned.
"I'm Sophie, it's nice to meet you Lucifer. Have you come to free us?" Sophie asked.
"Okaaaaay, time for you to go look for Levi." Asmodeus grabbed her by the shoulders and pushed her out of the room. Lucifer raised an eyebrow and looked at Asmodeus.
"Anything I need to know, brother?" Lucifer asked.
"Nothing, she's just a funny person. Rose is here by her own will, right baby?" He looked at me. I tried to decide what I should say. Would Lucifer help me if I said I wasn't here by my will or would I just get myself into more trouble? I decided to go with the devil I know and answered, "yes, I'm here by my will." I gritted out the best I could. Asmodeus gave me a look that said he wasn't pleased. Fuck. The corners of Lucifer's mouth raised slightly like he was amused.
"I see," Lucifer said before going to sit back down on the couch.
"Rose is tired, we can continue our chat and she's going to go rest, right baby?" Asmodeus gave me a pointed look.
"Yes, I'll see you some other time Lucifer." I said before I walked off towards the bedroom.
I rounded the corner and then paused, trying to listen in to some of their conversation.
"You brought that girl here against her will, didn't you?" Lucifer drawled.
"She's here because she wants to be. Don't concern yourself with matters than have nothing to do with you." Asmodeus retorted.
"Why her, brother? You can surely have anyone you want, someone less, pregnant, for instance." Lucifer said.
"Like I said, this doesn't concern you." Asmodeus said.
"You're hiding something, Asmodeus, and I'm going to find out what it is." Lucifer said. Oh shoot, his voice is getting closer. I tried to scurry away but I didn't get far before Lucifer appeared before me.
"I'll help you. If you think you can trust me." He reached out his hand but I wasn't sure what to do. "What about Sophie?" I asked.
"Not my concern," Lucifer said.
"Then I can't go. I'm sorry but I'm not leaving her behind." I told him.
"Suit yourself." He shrugged before he walked off. I hurried to the bedroom and shut the door quickly before Asmodeus caught me out in the hallway. I walked to the bed and laid down. At this rate, I'm about to miss graduation but honestly, that world seems so far away right now. I just wanted to lay here and cry. "You need to run, Rose. You're no longer safe here." He gave me a small smile before snapping his fingers.
I opened my eyes, scared out of my mind when all of a sudden I saw my guys in front of me. Sophie was also standing next to me, seemingly in shock. I saw Damien, Brent, Colten, Joel, Garrett and Sebastian all standing there with shock evident in their eyes. Before I could say anything I felt myself succumb to darkness and passed out.
Joel's POV
I couldn't believe my eyes. In front of me was my mate! She looked like she was about to say something when all of a sudden she passed out. I ran to her and caught her before she hit the ground.
She looked pale and her stomach seemed ready to burst. I noticed hickeys all over her neck and breasts and I had to suppress my wolf to keep my anger from overtaking me. That bastard will pay for touching my mate.
"What happened?" Brent ran towards us and took Rose from me, checking to make sure she's still breathing.
"She's just passed out. Everything must've been too stressful for her." Brent said relieved. He hugged her to his body and kissed her forehead. I knew when he noticed the hickeys because he let out a vicious growl.
"That fucker will pay for this!" He growled out.
"I guess Lucifer held up his end of the bargain," Colten said.
"I don't know what he did but I know that Rose isn't safe until that jerk is dead. Now that we have the girls back, we can focus on getting back at him." I said.
I watched Sophie run and throw herself in Sebastian's arms before wrapping her legs around his waist. They enveloped each other in a passionate kiss before they said, "I love you," at the same time, and laughed.
"We have a lot of time to make up for," Sebastian told her. She nodded and they walked off towards one of the bedrooms before slamming the door shut. Unfortunately I could hear every moan and creak that was coming from that room. I tried to block out the noises and focus on my mate.
"Rose, baby, wake up." Damien urged her.
"Why isn't she waking up?" Garrett asked.
"Her body is probably overwhelmed, let her get some sleep." I told them. I walked her to the bed and placed her down before cuddling her close to my chest. Finally my wolf was at peace with having her in my arms again. I placed a gentle kiss on her lips and closed my eyes. Tomorrow we will figure out what happened. For now, I'm going to get the best sleep I've had in a week.
