1 week later...
*Lexi P.0.V*
I was sitting in the bed that me and corahn shared. Corahn hasn't been home since the big argument. I knew exactly where he was so i wasn't really tripping."Boyz In The Hood" was playing on the TV screen and i was sitting there alone eating cookies and cream ice cream out the box. Nobody was home. Indigo was out at the club probably having a good time while I'm stuck here. As i continued eating my ice cream i began to feel pains in my stomach. I didn't really do anything about it because it was only little pains and i figured it was just her arm poking me. After a couple of minutes of sitting the pain got worst. I thought that maybe it i got up and walked around that the pain would go away. I was completely wrong the pain was too the point where i couldn't barley stand up. The pain was riping from one side of my stomach to the other side and then ripped down to my Virgina. Nobody was home i think i was having contractions.I struggled to walk down the steps and get to the house phone. My cell phone was off so that's why i didn't call off my cell phone. I finally got down the steps and to the house phone. I grabbed it off the hook and walked slowly towards the dinning room chairs. I took seat and began dialing my auntie Tammy's number. I grabbed my stomach and rocked back as the phone rang. It rang a good couple of times before the voice mail came on. I hung up the phone and slammed it on the table. I was in excoriating pain and i have no help. As i rocked back and forth with sweat dripping down my face i thought up an idea. I couldn't just stay in house and wait for help, i didn't wanna call 9-11 because they would take to long to come, and i refuse to call corahn because i know that he wouldn't come. So i had to think of the quick way. I got it! I'll just walk to my auntie's house witch is 5 minutes again and pray to god someone is there. I slowly got up and limped towards the front door. I had on a big grey tee shirt, a Chicago bulls boxer shorts, my Nike socks, and my favorite Nike sandals. i limped slowly out the house and closed the door behind me. It is 10:00pm and the cool yet warm breeze slapped my face. The night was quite and comforting. I was still in excoriating pain but i refused to stop walking. I needed to get to the house in order to get to the hospital. After 4 minutes of walking i paused for a moment and a gush of water came out of me. My water just broke. I started to scream in pain, but walk at the same time. I reached my auntie's house and knocked on the door frantically.
"WHO IS IT!" Julian asked yelling from the libray.
"me.."I said weakly.
He obviously didn't here me because he asked again "WHO THE HELL IS KNOCKING AT MY DAMN DOOR LIKE THEY CRAZY!"
"ME!" I finally yelled "HURRY UP! I'M IN PAIN!"
I could see someone pulling back the curtains and looking out the window.
"OH shit ju that's Lexi!" I herd some one say before the door swung open.
"Whats wrong Lex what happend!" Brian said picking me up and bringing me into the house.
"MY WHATER JUST BROKE! i NEED TO GET TO A HOSPITAL! NOW!" I let out.
Of course they started to act crazy and run around the house. My auntie finally came out of her room with her hair all over her head, a robe, and her eyes looking all tired.
"What the hell is going on!" She screamed. She looked over at me and her eyes widen.
"Why is you clothes all wet?" She said running over to me.
"MY WATERBROKE!"
"Oh god.. oh god.. oh god." She pause for a moment and bit her lip.
"Julian go hot a towel and wet it with warm water, Brian carry her to the car, and chance go grab my purse out my room."
Everyone did as they were told and i was carried off the the car that was parked out front. Brian layed me down in the back seat of the car sat down next to me. He placed my feet on his lap and rubbed my legs to calm me down. Finally Julian, Chance, and Auntie came out the house. Julian had a towel with warm water on it and auntie had her purse. She opened the door and looked in the back.
"Chance go with your brother in his car." She told chance. She finally got in the car and as we went full speed to the hospital. I closed my eyes and wished that the pain would jus go away. When i opened my eyes we were at the hospital. I must have dosed off. My auntie stopped in front of the hospital and let Brian and I out. He picked me up and carried me inside. We stopped at the front desk and i was placed in a wheel chair. I was in even more pain than i was before. I had no idea how many minutes my contractions were apart all i know is that my baby is coming and i need some medicine. The nurse handed Brian the clip board and he rolled me to room 114. She told him to wait out in the visitors area so i could get changed. He walked out the room with the clip board in his hand. The nurse closed the door and she helped undress and get into the hospital dress. I limped over to the bed and go in it. The nurse checked my blood pressure and my heart rate.
"Wel.. your blood pressure is very high!" The nurse excalimed.
"Really..?" I asked confused.
"Yes! We need to get this baby out of you ASAP." She said running out of the room.
So here i was in premature labor. Corahn was nowhere to be found and i still haven't gotten any damn medicine! I sat in the hospital bed squirming around like a worm that has been stepped on multiple times. Sweat dripped from my forehead and my body as hot a California day. My auntie ran into the room along with Julian.
"Honey everything is going to be fine!" Auntie Tammy said stroking my now curly hair back.
"NO ITS NOT!" I screamed in pain.
"WHO YOU YELLN AT!" Auntie Tammy yelled back. I ignored her and continued to squirm around in pain.
*20 minutes of pain later..*
The doctor finally rushed into the hospital room. It wasn't my normal doctor that i see for check ups. Instead it was a old white man, with snow flake color hair, pale white skin, and cold blue eyes.
"Hi im Dr. Smith and i will be delivering your baby." He said slapping on a pair of blue latex gloves.
"Her name is Lexi Gains." My auntie spoke for me since i really wasn't in the mood of playing lets meet and be bestfriends.
"Ok.. Lexi how are you honey."
At first i was going to say something so disrespectful but i knew that he was older than i was and i knew better than to disrespect my elder. "PAIN SIR! I AM IN PAIN!" I screamed out.
"Ok hun im going to need you to calm down and open your legs so i can have a look."
I really felt uncomfortable at that point but i would do anything to get this baby out of me. I opened my legs wide and let him measure. I was about 7 cm dilated.
"Well we can give you the epideral sice you arent fully dialated."
"HURRY PLEASE!" I screamed.
"Nancy get the girl the epidural and i would be back in about an hour." The doctor said taking off the latex gloves and throwing it into the trash. afterwards he walked out the room later to return. Nurse Nancy then grabbed a whole new needle, filled it with the epidural medicine, and told me to turn over so she can shoot it in my back. I turned over and held on the bar of my hospital bed and closed my eyes tightly as the needle went in.It was 5 seconds after she put it she pulled the needle right out. I turned back over an suddenly i felt relaxed. I started breath like a normal person. I was relaxed, yet sleepy.
"You hungry?" My auntie Tammy said from the other side of the room.
"Yeah." I said. My voice was so raspy.
"What do want to eat?" She asked.
"Am i suppose to eat now?"
"UH YEAH! you just have to eat snacks and fluids." She said sarcastically.
"Ugh.. I just want a honey bun and a gaterade."
"Alright, Ju go to the vending machine and get her a honey bun and Gatorade." My auntie demanded.
"Alright." Julian said before leaving the room. For some reason i was so sleepy. I kept on dosing off every 30 seconds. After 5 minutes of being gone Julian finally came in with my requests and a little something for his self. I could my self eating my honey bun slowly. Everything was so slow from my point of view. Suddenly my phone began to ring. My phone was laying on the little hospital night stand. I slowly grabbed it not reading the name or number.
"Hello?" I answer with my raspy voice.
"Hey i was just wondering where you were because i didn't see you in the room." Indigo said with a voice of concern.
"I'm at the hospital indi."
" Oh my god what happened?"
"My waterbroke." I said blankly.
"Oh gosh I'm my way!" After she said that the phone hung up and here i was nearly dosing off. I'm just ready for all of this to be over!
