When my time is over
And my life is done,
I hope you recall first
The times we had fun.
Also, the times we struggled
To make ends meet.
Sometimes I'm still amazed
How we accomplished this feat.
Then there were those times
We just couldn't agree.
Heated discussions and frustration.
Talking it out was always the key.
Yes, our marriage
Lasted many a year long.
It was easy though the good times.
The bad times made us more strong.
If it wouldn't be asking too much,
I would like you to know.
I would like to be buried
Where the wild roses grow.
I know these single flowers
I won't be able to see.
But this thought
Brings comfort to me.
