(LOOK IK I SAID I WOULDN'T DO THE DAVY BACK FIGHT BUT I'M GONNA HAVE A LITTLE ACTION FROM THE EPISODES RIGHT AFTER MKUHR)
Nami was explaining the plan to everyone and asked me to explain it to Luffy. I took off the suction shoes and stood next to Luffy, who was sitting playing with the reef.
"Luffy..." I muttered quietly. Before I could say anything, he hugged me silently. I was shocked but reciprocated.
"As you're captain I command you to never do something like that again."
"Something like what Luffy?"
"Don't make a big risk like that without my permission."
"Well, some risks need to be made for survival as a pirate, but I won't pull this exact stunt again. How about that?"
He smiled and nodded his head wildly.
"Okay, now what I came to see you for. I was not there for it, but I heard that there was an octopus that floated us down from Skypiea."
"Oh, yea! Wanna see him?"
"You have him?!"
Luffy proceeds to pull the octopus out of his pants and shake it in my face, "See? See?"
"Luffy, no matter how gross that is..." I pushed the octopus away, "This is great that you have it, we can escape with a plan that Jonathan won't expect!" I cheered silently.
"How do you know he won't expect it?" He asked in a childish tone.
"Well, from a little eavesdropping, Marines don't know that Skypiea exists. So they have no idea what dials are, and I'm sure they've never seen an octopus balloon before." I looked at my wrists, small scars lingering on them from when I was burned by Eneru, "Luffy, go up and tell them about the Octopus."
"Okay! Shishishi!"
I walked to the back of the ship and sighed. I didn't have the heart to tell him.
After I suggested my plan, I remembered how only Nami knows how much using the dial hurt. It completely immobilized Wyper.
I think If I surround myself with wood and hold my arm still, then only my arm will be injured.
If I told Luffy about it, he would have said no and to find another way or someone else to do it.
Most will think I'm petty for my reasonings, but the reason I'm willing to risk my arm is that 1, I want to shove it in that Jonathan's face for trying to hurt my crew, and 2, I need to prove myself to Luffy. I won't tell him the second reason though, obviously.
I joined the crew on the deck and saw Luffy and Usopp messing with each other and the dials.
"Now then, that just leaves who will fire the dial-"
Everyone was looking at him with evil looks and I sweat dropped. Usopp whimpered and hid behind me.
"(Y-Y/N)! What's with their looks?!"
"Haha, it's ok Usopp, I'll fire it. I have a plan to minimize damage to my body."
Everyone but Luffy looked at me with worry in their eyes.
"Guys, relax, everything will be a-o-k." I gave a gentle smile. That seemed to calm them a little.
"Alright! Let's prepare the Merry!" Luffy yelled.
"Yeah!" We all cheered in unison.

After prepping the sail with Chopper, I glanced over at the Marines. They were aiming cannons at the Merry!
"Everyone!" I yelled, "The marines are prepping cannons! Is the ship ready?!"
"We're ready for you (Y/N)!" Nami called.
I jumped down onto the deck and then once more to get below deck. I found the monster trio attempting to hold Usopp still.
He was crying and blubbering. I took the dial out of his hands for him.
"I already told you guys I was going to do it. Don't force the poor guy."
"T-Thank y-you (Y/N)..." Usopp muttered.
The monster trio looked between each other and then Sanji spoke, "(Y/N)-chan, we just don't want to see you hurt."
I rolled my eyes, "Sanji, I'm going to be fine. Just a little pain in my arm never hurt. I felt worse on Skypiea and Alabasta." I held up my wrist to show them.
They all examined the burn, almost as if they never noticed it. I pulled my hand back.
"I do, however, need to be alone to focus." I changed my tone to a serious one, "Please leave and find something to hang on to."
They all looked at each other again before replying...
"No."
"Huh? Why?"
"If we can't help you, then let us stay. We will be silent." Sanji pleaded.
Luffy nodded vigorously while Zoro did a single nod.
I chuckled, "Fine, but you have to be dead silent."
They all fake saluted and went to the other side of the deck basement.
I examined the dial in my hands before getting into position.
As soon as the pose was perfect, I made wood encase my body. I did a thin layer of wood called Lignum Vitae, which can hold up to 4,500 lbs. without breaking.
I took a deep breath and yelled to Nami, "Ok, I'm in position."
"OK! Fire when ready!" She called back.
"Three...
... Two...
...one...
...EAT THIS COMMANDER JONATHAN!!"
As soon as I fired from the small hole in the Merry, A light blue light came from the back of the Merry.
I underestimated how bad this would hurt, and I have a ton of respect for Wyper for firing it twice...
The shield I had made was cracking upon impact and as soon as the Merry left the ground, I was shot backward out of the shell and into someone behind me. Before I knew it, I looked up through the entrance of the deck's basement and saw the sky moving really fast.
I grasped my arm in pain, turning to see Zoro behind me. He was winded from me hitting him. I got off of his lap and with my good hand, though causing me a lot of pain, made a small wooden seatbelt for all four of us.
Our plan worked and Jonathan can suck my dick.
I don't remember passing out, but somehow I've opened my eyes above deck. The males of the crew were celebrating escaping, while Nami and Robin sat on my right.
"Ah! (Y/N)!" Nami said. She passed me a drink and I chugged it down.
"Did your plan work Nami?" I asked, though I soon realized it was a stupid question.
"Well if it didn't, you wouldn't be on the Merry." Robin mused. I chuckled and nodded to her.
"Yeah, I guess," I paused, "Thank you guys... y'know for being worried. It sounds weird but it lets me know you care and I really appreciate it..."
Nami hugged me while Robin's hand appeared from my back, rubbing my shoulders, "Silly (Y/N), What kind of friends would we be if we didn't worry?"

It's been a day since we escaped, and my arm is about halfway better.
Long story short, we had a Davy Back fight and after barely winning Robin and Chopper back, we are now on the Merry heading for the next island.
The waves were really bad so I was in the dining room.
I was writing in my notebook. I wanted to make the little pieces of wood for everyone, but I don't want them to seem suspicious, so I decided to make them small charms, relating to whoever I'm giving them to.
For Luffy: A meat on the bone
For Zoro: three small swords, similar to his earrings
For Nami: a small tangerine
For Usopp: His handheld slingshot
For Sanji: A butcher knife
For Chopper: The little 'X' on his hat
For Robin: ...
I was having trouble with what to do For Robin's charm. I thought maybe just a book or a hand but then I got a good idea, though it won't be a surprise if I ask her.
I sighed, putting on my rain hat, and started looking for Robin. It wasn't raining currently, but it sure as hell looked like it was about to. I winced opening the door, I used the wrong arm and got hurt.
It hurts to do quite a few normal things because of the arm. Chopper wrapped it and all, but it still stung a little.
Usopp was yelling at Luffy for horsing around while he and Zoro were trying to hold up the Mast.
"You guys could've asked for help, y'know?"
I put my hands on the deck and made two trunks on either side of the Mast, holding it in place. I growled at the small pain in my hand before Nami lightly hit me on the head.
"(Y/N)! Chopper said not to use your devil fruit for a few days!" She scolded asRobin nodded next to her.
'Oh, Robin!'
"Hey Robin? Can you write in the Letters on the Ponyglyph?" I asked, practically jumping up and down holding my notebook.
"I can do a little." She responded smirking.
I flipped to the page and pointed to her name, "Can you write the word 'Love' here?"
She looked at the page before giggling and pulling out her pen, jotting the word down quickly.
I smiled, it was the right word to use because of how pretty it looked.

After a few minutes, the crew heard a familiar-sounding female voice
"Oh no! It looks like the mast is about to break!" I groaned and because I was the closest, I looked over the edge of the ship.
"Really? What's gonna happen to us?" A deeper voice bellowed.
My face went pale.
The Straw Hats waited for me to tell them what I saw.
I turned around and screamed, "AHH! It's that damn split-head and his Cronies! What if they challenge us to another Davy Back Fight?!"
Half of the crew laughed at me while coming to check it out themselves.
There were three people on the small rickety boat. Foxy, Porsche, and a big Monkey looking guy. A small, almost fishing boat, riding the huge waves.
"Ahoy! Guys! Long time no see!"
I sweat dropped at the thought of seeing those guys again, solely for the reason that he gave Luffy a hard fight, though he was cheating. But I bet if all of us could fight with him, we would win.
We heard faint 'ahoy' 's in return but before we could offer help, Foxy got offended by something.
"We haven't fallen so low as to need your help!"
"See ya!" Nami immediately turned the ship away.
He yelled something back at us that I couldn't understand and we ended up helping them.
