Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Jewelry store. Three FBI Agents questioned different positions of people in the building. While Dean Winchester was flirting with a beautiful young woman claiming to be one of the employees. Sam Winchester and Karina Leone were investigating with the manager.

Leaving with a few words about the robbery.

"Helena was our head buyer. She-- she was family, you know? She said it herself, every year at the Christmas party. She said we were the only family she had."

Sam interned, "So there were never any signs that she'd do something like this."

"No. Still can't believe it, even now. That night, Helena came back to the store after closing. Cleaned out all the display cases, and the safe. Edgar, our night watchman-- he caught her in the act. He didn't know what to do, he'd known her for years. He called me at home."

"And that's when she took his gun?"

"She shot him in the face. I heard him die over the phone."

Karina asked, "Any clue what Helena's motive would be?"

"What motive? It makes no sense. Why steal all those diamonds, all the jewelry, and then what? Just dump it somewhere? Just hide it, and then go home and kill herself."

"How about a security camera?"

He shook his head, leaving Sam and Karina to glance at each other. Then Sam repeated the question again, "So, you never saw the security camera footage yourself, then?"

"No. The police took all the tapes. First thing."

"Of course they did."

They both turned their backs, seeing Dean with a paper of the girl's number.  Karina's eyes rolled, and they all proceeded to the next location.

Impala rolled down on the street. Locating the security guard who took the footage from the robbery. Different robberies within the same patterns. They stopped a small house from the security guard who owned it properly. As they got out of the car, Dean couldn't help but speak his mind.

"Friggin' cops."

"They're just doing their jobs, Dean."

"No, they're doing our jobs, only they don't know it, so they suck at it."

"Agree with you there."

Dean turned to Karina as they walked up to the front porch. "Talk to me about this bank."

Karina explained by memory, "Milwaukee National Trust-- it was hit about a month ago."

Dean asked, "Same M.O. as the jewelry store."

"Yes. Inside job. Longtime employee. Yada, yada, yada. Man robbed the bank. Go on home to slit his throat with a spoon."

"The guy, Resnick, he was the security guard on duty?"

Sam answered, "Yeah. He was actually beaten unconscious by the teller who heisted the place."

"Oh, god..."

"Yeah."

Sam started knocking on the screen door and shouted out the guy's name. Ronald Resnick. There was no answer from him. Suddenly, the floodlight began blinding their eyes on the porch. They covered their eyes mostly to ease off the lightning. A young man started appearing on the screen door, seeing three people standing on his property.

"FBI, Mr. Resnick."

"Let me see the badge."

Trio pulled out their badges and slammed softly on the screen in unison. Ronald squinted his eyes, seeing the pictures and the names they created. Courtesy to Dean. he looked at them.

"I already gave my statement to the police."

They put their badges down, and Dean began to speak. "Listen, Ronald, just some things about your statement we wanted to get some clarification on."

"You read it?"

"Sure did."

"And you want to listen to what I've got to say?"

"Well, that's why we're here."

He looked at them cautiously and hesitated. He invited them all in. As the trio walked into the house, every hall and room was a mess. More like, a research mess. He guided them to one room, revealing the wall covered with information and photos about extra-terrestrial.

Karina muttered to herself, "Oi..."

Ronald began to explain his witness research from that particular night of the robbery.

"None of the cops ever called me back. Not after I told them what was really going on. They all thought I was crazy. First off, Juan Morales never robbed the Milwaukee National Trust, okay? That I guarantee. See, me and Juan were friends. He used to come back to the bank on my night shifts and we'd play cards."

Karina inferred, "So you let him into the bank that night. After hours."

"The thing I let into the bank... wasn't Juan. I mean, it had his face, but it wasn't his face. Every detail was perfect, but too perfect, like, you know if a dollmaker made it. Like I was talking to a big Juan-doll."

"Sorry? Juan-doll?"

Ronald handed the file folder to Sam letting them look at it. It was about a jewelry robbery.

He continued as they all looked at the papers, "Look, this wasn't the only time this happened. Okay? There was this jewelry store, too, and the cops, and you guys, you just won't see it. Both crimes were pulled by the same thing."

Sam asked, "What's that, Mr. Resnick?"

He picked up a copy of the magazine and held it up high for them to see. Karina closed her eyes with exhaustion from seeing the cover. Cyberman cover, but at least Ronald was trying.

"Chinese have been working on 'em for years, and the Russians before that. Part man, part machine. Like the Terminator, but the kind that can change itself, make itself look like other people."

Dean smirked and pointed a finger at him. "Like the one from T2."

He smiled at him, "Exactly!!'

Sam and Karina shared a glance. Ronald continued, "See, so not just a robot, more of a... Man-droid."

Sam repeated, "A Man-droid?"

Dean asked Ronald, "And what makes you so sure about this, Ronald?"

He held up his finger and smiled widely. As he looked around one particular thing, the trio sat on the couch in front of a small television set as he inserted the VHS tape into a player.

"See, I made copies of all the security tapes. I knew once the cops got them they'd be buried."

Ronald kept fast-forwarding the tape when the big guy appeared on the screen talking away from the camera screen. He kept ordering them to watch the screen. Trio kept their eyes on the screen, seeing Juan stepping away from the frame. Smiling along until his eyes are on the frame.

Ronald paused the frame of the eyes looking at the camera frame, "There it is!! You see?? He's got the laser eyes."

Eyes glowed with silver or perhaps his words, laser eyes. Meaning one thing. Shapeshifter.

Trio shared a knowingly look at each other as Ronald explained to them more.

"Cops said it was some kind of reflected light. Some kind of "camera-flare." Okay? Ain't no damn camera flare. They say I'm a post-trauma case. So what? Bank goes and fires me, it doesn't matter!!'

Ronald took a newspaper clip and pinned it on the wall, he turned to them. He continued to explain, leaving Dean and Karina impressed with his research. Minus the man-droid.

"The man-droid is-- is still out there. The law won't hunt this thing down, I'll do it myself. You see, this thing, it, it, kills the real person, makes it look like a suicide, then it sorta like, of morphs into that person. Case the job for a while until it knows the take is fat, and then it finds its opening.'

He began gesturing the map as he explained more. Leaving Dean and Karina even more impressed by his knowledge of the details of the Shapeshifter. Even he didn't know the name.

"So I figure, the man-droid is holed up somewhere in the middle, underground, maybe. I don't know, maybe that's where it recharges its-- man-droid batteries."

Dean was nodding impressively. Karina was covering her soft smile. Where Sam on the other hand was the opposite. He stared at him intently, and they all stood up from the couch.

"Okay. I want you to listen very carefully because I'm about to tell you God's honest truth about all of this. There's no such thing as Man-droids. There's nothing evil or inhuman going on out there. Just people. Nothing else, you understand?"

Dean and Karina shifted their eyes to each other. Shocked with straight faces of hearing Sam's tone to Ronald. Cold, and straightforward. Like an FBI Agent, or perhaps more.

Ronald looked up at Sam, disbelieving. After everything, he told them. Getting the same response.

"The laser eyes."

"Just a camera flare, Mr. Resnick, see, I know you don't want to believe this, but your friend, Juan robbed the bank and that's it."

Ronald's eyes turned to frustration. He pointed a finger out to the door and yelled at them. "Get out of my house!! Now!!!"

"Sure. First things first."

***

Trio returned to the motel room, back to their clothes. Even Karina was pleased to have her hair back even Sam with his slick hair. She wasn't worried about the hair, she was more concerned about his behavior toward Ronald. He sure didn't like Sam from that incident.

Dean was looking at the wall pinned up against the wall while Karina was sitting on the table. Examining the similar map of the street underneath the sewer lines. Sam walked across the room, holding the tape that they all borrowed from Ronald.

Thanks to his impressive research.

"Man, that has got to be the kicker, straight up. I mean, you tell that poor son of a bitch that, what did you say? "Remand the tapes he copied?" "Classified evidence of an ongoing investigation"? That's messed up."

Sam sat down and watched the tape. He looked at Dean who was standing in front of the map. "What are you, pissed at me or something?"

"No, I just think it's a little creepy how good of a Fed you are. I mean, come on, we could have least thrown the guy a bone. He did some pretty good legwork here."

"Man-droid?"

"Except for the man-droid part. I liked him. He's not that different from you or me or Kay. People think we're crazy."

Karina was quiet all the way through, listening to their conversation. She was marking the sewer lines, connecting the buildings underneath. Also, she was eating Ben and Jerry's Strawberry Cheesecake all the way through. Due to the silence.

"Yeah, except he's not the hunter or similar abilities of Karina's, Dean. He's just a guy who stumbled onto something real. If he were to go up against this thing, he'd get torn apart. Better to stay in the dark, and stay alive."

"Yeah, I guess."

Dean began walking to Karina who was still eating and tracing the markings. Dean leaned over to her, seeing the map in her eyes. Sam paused the video, seeing eyes glowing back to him.

"Shapeshifter. Just like back in St. Louis. Same retinal reaction to video."

"Eyes flare at the camera. I hate those friggin' things."

"Ditto."

"You think I don't?"

"Yeah, well, one didn't turn into you or you and framed you for murder."

"Well, look... if this Shifter's anything like the one we killed in Missouri..."

Karina inferred, "Ronald's right. They do like to live underneath like depressing people would be surrounded by the dark and smelly sewers. The markings... all connected to the robberies.'

Karina pulled up the tracing paper, revealing the connection on the map. She pointed to one building that was also connected to the line. She informed them all with her last words.

"There's one more bank lined up on that same sewer main."

City Bank of Milwaukee Financial Services & Investments.

***

Night falls. Employees and customers surround the floor of the bank. Security guard guiding three people dressed up as technicians. Revealing Sam, Karina, and Dean.

"Well, we haven't had any flags go up on our system yet."

Dean explained, "No, this is a glitch in the overall grid. We just want to make sure the branch monitors are kosher."

"Well, better to be safe than sorry, I guess."

"That's the plan."

While the guard was guiding the technicians, Karina couldn't help but lay eyes on Sam Winchester. After Dean and Karina made a promise, she wished she could take everything back. Not agreeing with John's order of meeting them in the first place or staying here in the present.

She would rather die again than kill her friend. Her first friend after a long period of time.

The guard let them in the observation room, seeing the security footage cameras lining up for them. He looked at them, and asked, "Alrighty... you guys need anything else?"

"Oh, no, no, we'll be... we'll be in and out before you know it. Just a routine check."

He grinned as he left the room. "Okie-Dokie."

After the guard left the room, saying his line. Leaving Karina chuckling at the motto of his. Dean smirked, thinking the same thing. "I like him. He says, "Okie-Dokie."

"What if he's the Shifter?"

They all walked to the screens to sit down in front of it.

Karina scoffed, "No offense, Sammy, but would the Shifter lead three strangers to one thing that could catch him red-handed? Think about that."

"If he is, we follow him home, put a silver bullet and knife through his chest plate. Well, you got any popcorn?"

They all gave one big sigh as Sam began zooming in on the cameras. Finding the glowy silver eyes.

The people's eyes are normal. Minutes turn into hours. Hours turn into minutes. They were still reviewing the screens. Not finding the Shifter.

Sam and Karina laid their backs on the chair, examining the screens. Karina was counting each hair of her ponytail. Bored out of her mind. One of the screens had the guard talking to someone.

No silver eyes.

"Well, it looks like Mr. Okie-dokie is.... okie-dokie."

"Maybe we jumped the gun on this, guys. We don't even know it's here. Maybe we should just go back to the sewers and... and..."

There was one screen zooming on the ass of an attractive young woman who was bending over. Dean's eyes were examining it, smirking at the view. Sam and Karina looked straight on the screen as Karina pulled her hand back from her ponytail.

Slapped Dean on the back of his head.

He reacted to it, eyeing Karina. Her eyes are still on the screens.

Sam inferred, "Dean, we are supposed to be looking for eyes."

"I'm getting there."

Karina turned her head to Dean, smirking. "Oh, are you?"

"Yeah."

Karina shook her head. They all resumed where they left off. Until Dean landed on a screen, seeing something familiar. There was one screen where I was looking after something out of frame.

There it is. Glowing silver eyes.

"Hello, freak."

"Got him."

Winchesters were beginning to leave until Huntress had her eyes on the one screen. Seeing someone familiar from not a moment ago. She called out to them, "Boys!!"

They stopped, seeing Karina eyeing the screen. The screen revealed Ronald with an assault rifle, hurrying up to the outer door with a chain. Locking himself and everyone inside. Door shut.

Dean commented, "Hello, Ronald."

"THIS IS NOT A ROBBERY!!! EVERYBODY ON THE FLOOR NOW!!!"

Trio got out of the room, heading straight to Ronald. People were brushing through them, freight running in the opposite direction. Reader, did I mention that they all don't have any weapons on them? Due to Sam's plan?

Karina turned to Sam, "And you said we shouldn't bring any weapons."

"I didn't know this was gonna happen, Karina."

Dean inferred, "Just let me do the talking. I don't think he likes you very much, Agent Johnson."

Dean walked out slowly to the floor, exiting the hallway behind them. Ronald turned to the sound, shocked to see three familiar people walking up to them. They all had their hands up.

"Hey, buddy. Calm down. Just calm down."

"What the-- You!! Get on the floor, now."

Trio followed the orders and kneeled down on the floor. Hands up. Sam and Karina have their eyes on Dean, figuring out what he's going to do next. Ronald still had his gun pointing at them.

"Okay, we're doing that... Just don't shoot anybody, especially us."

"I knew it. As soon as you three left. You ain't FBI. Who are you? Who are you working for, huh? The Men in Black? You working for the man-droid?"

Sam yelled at him, "We're not working for man-droid!!"

Ronald pointed a finger at Sam and yelled back at him. "You, shut up!! I ain't talking to you!! I don't like you!!"

Dean gave him a pointed look at Sam. Karina smiled softly, eyeing the ground. Sam gave in, saying it was fair. Ronald pointed the gun at the hostages and commanded them.

"Get on 'em. Frisk them down, and make sure they have no weapons on them. Go!!"

A man went over to Sam, beginning to frisk him down. Top and bottom. Then he went to Karina, top to bottom. Minus her ponytail. Dean was fidgeting, praying that the man wouldn't get him. Lastly, the man went top to bottom. Until he found the coverage, Dean's eyes closed in guilt.

Reveals a small, silver knife in Dean's boot.

"Now what do we have here?"

Sam and Karina gave Dean a look. Dean read them and whispered. "I'm not just gonna walk in here naked!!"

Ronald takes the knife from the man. Ordered him to resume his position. He walked toward the deposit box. Dean was warning him until it was too late. He dropped the knife into the box, letting the sound of the knife clattering echo. He resumed his position of pointing the gun at the trio.

"We know you don't want to hurt anybody. That's exactly what's gonna happen if you keep waving that cannon around, and why don't you let these people go?"

"NO!! I already told you. If nobody's gonna stop this thing, then I've got to do it myself!!"

Karina inferred, giving him a soft smile. "Then why are we in the first place? Because we believe you, Ronald."

"You don't believe me. Nobody believes me!! How could they?"

Dean slowly looked behind and asked him for one thing. "Come here."

"What? No."

"You're holding the gun, boss. You're calling the shots. I just want to tell you something. Come here."

Ronald began approaching Dean, cautiously. Holding the rifle in his hands. He leaned in, hearing Dean whispering to him.

"It's the bank manager."

"What?"

"Like she said, why do you think we've got these getups, huh? We've been monitoring the cameras in the back. We saw the bank manager. We saw his eyes."

"His laser eyes?"

"Yes. No. No!" Dean stopped whispering to him, and he yelled out. "No, look, we're running out of time, okay? We've gotta find him before he changes into something else."

He pointed the gun still and yelled. "Like I'm gonna listen to you. You're a damn liar!!"

Dean shared a look with his people and cautiously stood up from the floor. Hands up still. Ronald warned him still with his gun. Dean ignored him to talk sense with him.

He walked closer to Ronald, "Take me. Okay? Take me with you, take me as a hostage. But we've gotta act fast, because the longer we just sit here, the more time he has to change. Look at me, man. I believe you. You're not crazy. There really is something inside this bank."

"All right. You come with me. But everyone else gets in the vault!!"

Everyone stood up including Sam and Karina, hands up in the air. Ronald ushered everyone into the vault. He commands each of them to hurry into the vault, leaving Dean outside. Ronald commanded him to lock up the vault.

Dean started to move the door, and turn to the people. "It's okay, everyone. Just stay cool."

He shrugged at Sam and Karina in apology. He slammed the door shut, leaving one redhead looking after him in admiration.

She asked one of the people at the front as she looked at the door. "Who is that man?"

"He's my brother."

"He is so brave."

"Oi..."

Sam and Karina rolled their eyes in unison. Standing together in the far corner.

The girl would not stop talking. Just because Dean fascinated her. The power was out due to the police forming around the bank. Air conditioning doesn't work due to the power outage, and a few hostages are fanning themselves. Sam and Karina got out of the getups. Get cool air.

Leaving them annoyingly listening to a blabbering girl asking Sam and Karina questions about Dean.

"Has your brother always been so.... Wonderful? I mean, staring down that gun. And you know, the way he played right into that psycho's crazy head, telling him what he wanted to hear. I mean... he's like a real hero or something."

"Yeah... yeah."

The vault door opened revealing Dean with a handgun. The girl cheered excitedly, seeing Dean. "Oh my g-, you saved us!! You saved us!!"

"Actually, I just found a few more. Come on, everybody. Let's go. Let's go."

She stared at Dean in confusion, seeing several people. Hands up, entering the vault. She asked him, "What are you doing?"

"Sam, Karina... Ronald and I need to talk to you."

Sam and Karina left the vault, seeing Dean looking after the girl as he shut the door. They all began leaving, heading toward the lobby.

Karina sighed in relief, "One second of that girl blabbering... I was going to cut off her tongue."

Sam and Karina chuckled as they continued walking. "Actually... I was kinda asking you to."

They both laughed softly more, leaving Dean walking behind them. Grinning to himself.

***

"It's shed its skin again. We don't know when-- it could be in the halls. It could be in the vault."

"Great. You know, Dean, you are wanted by the police."

"Yeah."

"So even if we do find this damn thing, how the hell is we gonna get out of here?"

Dean began pacing in front of Sam and Karina. Answering Sam's question. "Well, one problem at a time. All right, I'm gonna sweep the whole place, see if we find any stragglers. Once we get everyone together, we've got to play a little game of find-the-freak."

Dean stopped his pace, standing beside Karina, and he handed Sam and Karina two silver letter openers. Karina wanted to suggest using her blade in her hair but she decided to go along instead of show off. Especially the amateur bank robber.

"Found another one of these for you guys. Now, Sam, stay here, make sure Ronald doesn't hurt anybody, okay? Help him manage the situation."

Sam looked at him and yelled at him. "Help him manage? Are you insane?"

"The answer's yes, Mr. Winchester."

Dean looked past Sam and Karina, and gave Ronald two thumbs up, an okay sign. He was grinning the whole time, leaving Ronald to receive the sign from him.

He looked at Sam and responded to him. Quietly. "Look, I know this isn't going the way we wanted-"

"Understatement!!"

"But if we invite the cops in right now, Ronald gets arrested, we get arrested. The Shifter gets away, probably never to find it again."

Karina noticed Ronald while Dean was talking to Sam. He was peering at the light from the window due to the police's light on the bank. Karina was getting distracted by the view of it. Sam noticed Ronald and gestured to Dean.

Pointing out the situation.

Dean yelled, "Ron!! Out of the light!!"

Ronald proceeds with the order from Dean, staying out. Dean turned his eyes on Sam one more time. Sam looked at him, eyes widened. "Seriously!?"

"Yeah, Ron's game plan was a bad plan. I mean, it was a bit of a crazy plan, but right now crazy's the only game in town, okay? Karina, you're comin'?"

Karina grinned as she asked, "When did I ever say no to crazy?"

Dean grinned and slapped Sam's shoulder. Dean and Karina headed out to crazy as Sam was in the babysitting business.

Dean and Karina began to examine the hallway. Heard the police clattering, and sirens outside. Each of them has their own flashlight, holding a silver letter opener in their hands. They both followed each other's steps, creeping their way through the hallway.

Listening to sounds, and watching every movement.

They both entered the familiar room they had been in. Screen footage room. They were examining the room for a way to turn it back on. There was no nothing, even the screens. They both examined further into the room.

When they both went further into the room, they both saw something up on the ceiling. The panel gave a little split like someone put something there. Dean looked around to find something, he noticed the coat rack.

He handed his flashlight to Karina as she still was aiming her light on the panel. He took the rack and began poking at the panel. As Dean moved the slight back on the panel, suddenly everything came crashing down in front of them.

They were shocked at what they saw in front of them. There was a black-skinned body, not breathing. Karina swallowed her throat slightly and reached her hand on the body. Turning itself over, giving the view of it.

A black man slit his throat.

Knowing it was one of the hostages in the vault. Shapeshifter in the vault.

They both began running to the vault, where the Shapeshifter was holding the guard who was having a heart attack. It was yelling at Ronald, wanting to get the guard outside with the police.

Dean whispered to Sam, Karina was glaring down at the Shapershifer still holding on to the guard. Shapeshifter was getting a view of the trio, knowing he had been caught. Sam looked at Ronald and gave him a slight response.

"You know, Ronald? He's right, we've gotta get this man outside. Come on. I've got you."

Sam takes the guard away from the Shapeshifter. It wouldn't give up, "I'll help you."

"Oh, I got him, it's cool."

Sam began to take his leave with the guard. Karina was watching Sam behind him, he gave a slight look at her as he left the room. Karina turned around, arms crossed with an opener in her hand.

Dean approached the vault, talking to the Shapeshifter. Want to talk to him, when it's not true. Even it knew that.

It takes the steps forward to Dean, coming out of the vault. "You got the gun, man. I mean, whatever."

It got close enough, it attacked Dean. Knocking him to the ground. Karina made haste, running to it. It kicked her in the stomach, giving a huge force on the gated fence on her back.

Giving herself a great pain.

Dean witnessed everything, and he checked on Karina. He pulled her up, and they both began chasing Shapeshifter. It disappeared in the darkness. Ronald raced after with his rifle. Giving the light from the open again.

On the other side of the building, Sam saw a laser sight on Ronald's back. Sam warned him but everything was silent and slow motion. Bullet went through Ronald in the chest from the sniper.

Dean rushed behind the low wall, and Karina went to the opposite side of the lower wall behind the light. Witnessing Ronald was shot. Ronald got down on his knees, dropping his rifle to the ground. Face aside on the floor, eyes' light gone.

Ronald Resnick was dead.
