Third POV:

The night was silent.
The moon was out with its light shining bright.
Mostly everyone was asleep.
There was one problem.
One person was stirring in her sleep.

"No." She said.

"No!" She exclaimed.

~Her dream~

"Now, don't you think it would have been in your best interest to have abided by my rules instead of going out and rebelling against me?" Asked a man whom seemed to be familiar to her.

There she saw on the floor Jackson Overland Frost. Her husband... he had a black eye, his arms were cut up, and he was cuffed to a pole with his arms behind his back.

"Jack!" She exclaimed. She tried to run towards him but it felt like he just kept getting further and further away from her.

She couldn't see him anymore and the man appeared again.

"You left your family over this... this boy? Who could never really take care of you," the man said.

"He has taken care of me and I take care of him," she said.

"Right..." he said not believing her.

"And you think he is able to take care of your kid too? Look at where she is now," he said and ended up disappearing again.

Then a little girl was caged. She had a handprint left on her face and she was hugging her knees into her body. Her nose was also bleeding.

"Luna!" She exclaimed and tried running to her. But much like the first time she tried running, she wasn't getting anywhere. She stayed in one place as her daughter kept on getting further away from her.

"You see. If you would have stayed and obeyed my rules... they wouldn't be in this situation right now," the man said.

"Now, for the grand finale... who will you save? Your beloved husband or your helpless daughter?" The man said with an evil glint in his eye.

"You have 10 seconds to decide or else they will get eaten alive by crocodiles," he said.

Jack was on one side of the man while their daughter was on the other side. All the man needs to do is click on a button and one of them will fall to their death.

"No," She said as tears were streaming down her face. She had been crying the whole time. She loved both of them so much. She didn't want either to leave her.

"Times ticking quite fast," he said.

"Two seconds," he added.

She couldn't come up with a plan. She was stuck.

"Times up. Since you didn't decide, I will," he said.

"No, please!" She exclaimed but he ignored her.

"Both they go," he said and clicked the buttons needed.

"NO!" She exclaimed louder with tears still streaming down her cheeks.

~End of dream~

She woke up with a start. She had tears flooding her cheeks.

She looked beside her to see her husband still sound asleep.

She then ran to Luna's room to check on her. She found Luna peacefully sleeping in her bed with her stuffed animals.

She wiped away her tears seeing the two were safe and sound. She checked her watch to see that it was 4:33am.

She sighed. "No way am I going back to sleep now," she thought to herself.

She walked out of Luna's room and into the living room. She turned on the tv to the news station then walked into their kitchen.

She knew that Jack would wake up soon and she wanted to make sure she had breakfast ready for him and their daughter.

She decided to make pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hash browns.

It's probably strange to think "after that dream, why would she go and make breakfast?" Well, for her she would always need something to distract her from what's bothering her so she wouldn't think about it too much.

She also never talked about these nightmares to anyone. Which is not good for her. She didn't want to bother anyone with her problems even her husband.

Around 5:30am her husband woke up. He found her in the kitchen finishing up the last of the pancake batter.

"Good morning Elsa," He said as he got a mug to get himself some coffee that Elsa had also made.

"Morning," She said not looking at him.

That didn't go unnoticed by Jack.

"Els? Are you okay?" He asked as he put his mug down and walked towards her.

"I'm fine," she said and put the last pancake on a plate and turned off the burner.

"Els, I know you. You're not fine. What's wrong?" He asked now standing directly in front of her.

"Nothing," She said not meeting his eyes.

"Els, please. What's wrong?" He asked.

"Nothing. I love you," she said looked at him with a small smile, trying to change the subject.

"I love you too but I'm not dropping this. What's going on?" He asked but she didn't respond to him. She pecked his lips.

"It's time to wake up Luna," Elsa said with that same smile. She held his hand as she dragged him to Luna's room.

Jack decided to drop it for now but would definitely bring it up later.

"Luna... sweetheart, it's time to wake up," Elsa said lightly shaking her.

Luna sat up, yawning.

"Good morning mommy," she said.

"Good morning sweet girl," Elsa said and hugged her tightly as Luna hugged her back.

"Let's go eat some breakfast snow angel. Mommy made us an all you can eat buffet," Jack said chuckling.

Elsa rolled her eyes at him.

"Daddy's right. We need to eat then get you ready for school," Elsa said.

The three of them walked to the kitchen and dished out their plates. They all had a bit of everything. They had a bit of a silent breakfast together. Which is unlike what it usually is. Elsa will have things to say but she was very much in her thoughts this morning.

After they finished eating, they all went to go get ready for work or school. Luna went to her room with her mother, since her mother still picked out her clothing for her. She wanted to make sure everything matched.

Elsa walked back to her bedroom when she found that Luna was set with her hair and clothing.

"Can you help me with my tie?" Jack asked when he saw her.

"Of course," she said quietly.

As she was tying his tie, Jack couldn't help but watch her. He knew something was up but she wasn't saying anything. And every time he asked she would brush it off as if it didn't matter.

"All done," she said a faint smile adorning her face.

"Thank you," He said as he held her hands.

"You're welcome," she said the same smile still there.

He hugged her tightly and she hugged back.

"I know somethings going on with you. I wish you would tell me what that was. I'm worried about you Els," he said.

"I'm fine though. No need to worry," she said placing a kiss on his lips.

"I'm gonna go get dressed for the day," she said to him as she part from his lips.

Jack did ask her quite a few times what's going on and she would never tell him. She would tell him not to worry and nothing was wrong.

A couple nights have passed and the damn nightmares keep haunting her. Sometimes worse than the last.

Jack didn't wake up all those times because she never yelled. She never cried. Or if she did she made sure she wasn't loud enough.

Until one night...

"No," she started to squirm.

She never would squirm in her sleep either.

Jack felt a tap on his head, so he slowly opened his eyes. He turned to look at Elsa.

"No," she said again putting her hand on her face.

"Elsa?" Jack questions rubbing his eyes.

"Stop this," she said starting to get louder.

Jack's eyes widened. He started to wake up fully.

"Elsa babe?" He said about to shake her when she jolted awake with tears streaming down her cheeks.

She was breathing heavily. The tears never stopped.

"Elsa!" He tried to call her again and she finally looked at him.

"J-Jack?" She questioned as she touched his cheek.

"What's going on?" He asked.

"Y-you're o-okay?" She asked.

"What? Of course I'm okay. Are you okay?" He asked as he held her hand that was resting on his cheek.

"I'm f-fine," she stuttered.

"Elsa... we both know you're not. You had a nightmare. What was it about?" He asked.

"N-Nothing. I'm f-fine," she stuttered again.

Jack shook his head then hugged her tightly.

"No you're not. I need you to talk to me. I'm worried about you," He said.

Elsa shook her head burying it in his chest crying.

"Babe," he whispered to her. She only shook her head and continued to cry.

It tore Jack up inside, feeling like he couldn't do anything to help her. Which, was kind of true because she wasn't telling him anything. All he could do was hold her and be there for her.

After a few minutes of crying they heard a knock on their bedroom door.

"Come in," Jack said.

Luna opened the door to see her mommy cuddled into her father's chest.

"Hey Luna... What are you doing up?" He asked.

"I-I heard a shout and crying," she said.

"Oh... that was just mommy," Jack said as he looked down at Elsa as she tried to pull herself together so her daughter didn't see her like this.

She had wiped her tears from her eyes and moving her hair out of her face as she broke away from Jack.

"Mommy? Are you okay?" Luna asked as she walked towards their bed. She got on the bed once she was close enough.

"Mommy's fine baby. I'm sorry I woke you," Elsa said moving some hair out of her daughters face.

"You know what your mommy could use?" Jack asked. Elsa looked at him questionably as Luna grinned.

"A big hug," she said as she hugged her mother.

Elsa's arms quickly wrapped around her daughter with a few tears falling down her cheeks. She held back a sob.

Jack rested his hand on her back as she hugged their daughter. He rubbed her back to try and comfort her.

"Mommy, do you want me to sing you a song?" Luna asked as she yawned.

Elsa smiled at her daughter, "Sure sweetie."

"I love my mommy
She's so pretty
She's the best
She makes the best cookies
She loves me and daddy
And *yawns* gives me hugs
And lots of kisses *yawns*
I love *yawns* my mommy,"

The short made up song made Elsa smile so much as her daughter fell asleep in her arms.

"Thank goodness she is okay too," Elsa sighed.

"I'm sorry, but too?" Jack asked.

Elsa gasped forgetting he was there.

"Uh-um..." she couldn't say anything.

"Elsa... please tell me what's been going on with you. For the past few days, something's been bothering you and I know it's been your nightmares. I just don't know what's happening in them. You barely get any sleep anymore. I can see it everyday, slowly draining you. Please help me understand," Jack said as he held her hand.

Elsa sighed. "He was gonna find out sometime," Elsa thought to herself.

"Okay..." she whispered as she held their daughter close to her. Jack sat closer beside her.

"So... in my nightmare... my father was in it..." she could tell that Jack instantly stiffened.

"He was saying things to me like I should have obeyed to his rules. I should have listened to him. That you are no good for me. A-and," her voice started to waver with the next part, so Jack put his arm around her and kissed her cheek. Reassuring her that he's there for her.

"A-And he m-made me choose b-between you and L-Luna since you two were p-poorly battered up a-and he wanted me to d-decide which one of y-you would d-die," She stuttered or again. Jack just kept rubbing her back listening.

"W-when I didn't choose right a-away... he chose for m-me... b-both of you d-died... then my m-mother appeared... s-she looked like she did before she left us... b-but she was disappointed in me and I-I wasn't sure why," Elsa whispered out.

"She said s-somethings that I can't r-remember but it was e-enough to wake me u-up," Elsa finished.

"I'm sorry babe. I wish that I could have done more for us. For your father to approve of me rather than all of this happening to you," Jack said. Elsa shook her head.

"It's not your fault. It's his for not accepting you and for what or whom makes me happy. I love you and I wouldn't change anything. I just didn't think that my nightmares would get this bad again," Elsa sighed out.

"Babe, maybe you should go to therapy for them? I know it's super hard and it's probably weird for me to say it but therapy does help. Even I went for a while. I didn't have a family in so long... I needed help," Jack said.

"Maybe I will. But..." she trailed off and wiped some of her tears again as some had started to fall.

"But what if it doesn't work? What if the nightmares keep coming? W-what if my father actually finds me after all of these years? What if he takes Luna from us?" She gasps. "What if he hurts you both and my nightmares come true?" She started to get anxious quite quickly.

"Elsa, calm down please," he said as he hugged her to him. She buried her head in his chest while he wrapped his arms around both his wife and daughter.

"Everything will be okay. Our home is gated. We have the best alarm system. Your father still thinks you are in your hometown," he said and paused kissing her head.

"If you still have the nightmares, wake me up and I will stay awake with you. I will keep you safe. I know you're scared but just know there is nothing that will keep me away from you and our daughter. I love you so much," he said as he gently squeezed the both of them.

Elsa unburied herself and looked up at him. She had a faint smile on her face as she kissed him. When she pulled back she said, "I love you too. Thank you for being here for me. I will look into a therapist tomorrow."

Jack smiled as he rested his forehead on hers. "That's my girl," he said with a grin. They stayed like that for a few minutes then Jack said, "Let's get some rest."

Elsa shook her head no, the fear still in her eyes.

"Why not?"

"I don't want another nightmare nor do I want to wake up Luna again. That was so embarrassing," she said.

Jack shook his head. "You must rest and it's not embarrassing, it's normal. Luna was just worried about you babe," Jack said moving her hair out of her eyes.

"But it's weird. My daughter shouldn't be the one to comfort me when I have a nightmare. It very much should be the other way around," she said.

"And you will be there for her when she gets a nightmare. Being a part of a family means being there for one another no matter what age," he said kissing her temple.

"Why are you so sweet to me?" She asked blushing lightly.

"Because you're my woman and I love you," He said grinning. She kissed him again.

When they pulled apart, Elsa smiled at him and rested her head on his shoulder.

"Stay awake with me until I fall asleep please?" She said.

"Of course," he said as they laid down to be more comfortable.

Jack was the big spoon, Elsa the small spoon, and Luna the even smaller spoon.

"Jack?"

"Yes?"

"Let's do something tomorrow," she said.

"Like What?"

"Let's go on a date. We have been working a lot and it's been a while since we've had date night," she answered.

"Let do it," he smiled and kissed her cheek.

"Get some rest," he added.

"Okay," she whispered.

And once she fell asleep, she had sweet dreams about her cute little family she has. She wouldn't change it for the world.

A/n: Yay! An update!! Sorry this one shot was rushed. At least that's how it felt. I hope you guys enjoyed it a little bit. I know it's a little darker than what I'm used to writing. I wanted to try it out. Not sure if I like it but we will see. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to them. Hopefully I will update more often. Writing takes me a while, only because I'm not sure what to write half the time and when I do have an idea, I don't have time. But thank you guys for reading, voting, commenting, sharing, and following! I didn't expect this book to do so well. Anyway, don't forget to:
