Weeks has passed and a month as flew off. Now it was October, the time where Halloween plays its part. You have enjoyed every day you had. You always look forward to each class and each fun that you have with Harry and Ron as well as Hermione. Even if it seemed bizarre but you looked forward even with the fights you have with Malfoy. It made the day quite more interesting. Drama roamed Hogwarts so it was a bonus to give you slight joy.
You were still having second thoughts on what Jarvis had told you a month ago. About making a suit— an Iron Man Suit. The suit that made your father a Hero. That made him who he was. A superhero to many children in the world. Your superhero but it seemed impossible to do with the lack of stuff. It was also that there was no place to do it.
Walking down the hallway as it was Halloween. Nothing was decorated. If this was an muggle school, it will be decorated and a dance will be held or students will be dress in costumes to make it more fun. Here, in Hogwarts, it was plain boring but nothing is boring when magic and the Weasley Twins were there.
Watching the twins, prank some of the Gryffindor's were hilarious. Anything is hilarious as long as the prank wasn't directed to you. You watched as there next target was Percy, their own brother.
You were walking down the hallways with Hermione talking to each other. You all just came out of Professor Flitwick's classroom as class got dismissed early.
In front of you both were Neville, Ron, Harry and Seamus. Every first year from Professor Flitwick's class were walking down the courtyard. Other students were minding their own business.
You and Hermione couldn't help but listen to the boys conversation. Raising a brow at this point seeing Ron look so annoyed and frustrated. Wanting to know the reason why, you walked a bit closer. Hermione seemed to follow your gesture at this.
"It's Levioooosa, not Leviosaaaar" He mimicked someone and then it got you to think to Professor Flitwick's lesson on levitating things. You also remember that Hermione was teaching Ron in the correct pronunciation but seems like he is really annoyed with Hermione right now and you wonder why
"She's a nightmare, honestly. No wonder she hasn't got any friends!" Ron said in a normal voice. Your eyes widen at this and Hermione seems to know that they were talking about her because she dashed passed Ron, hugging her books and sniffling
"I think she heard you" Harry pointed out as Hermione disappeared into the crowd, deeply hurt by Ron's words. Your eyes twitch at this
"Glad you notice. Better watch your mouth, Ronald—" You said glaring at Ron "—and for your information, I'm her friends and I might not know why your so annoyed and pissed at her but you better think of apologizing" You growled in anger before running after Hermione.
"Better think of that apology then Ron. Y/n, sure is angry" Seamus said
"Yeah, I noticed" Ron gulped before sighing
"Oh, I'm doomed. Y/n's gonna kill me in her sleep and she'll get away with it" Ron whispered in fear earning a chuckle from Harry.
Running through the halls are you were trying to catch up— trying to find her. She seems to disappear from the face of the earth and you were so certainly gonna give Ron a piece of your mind. You wandered the halls in worried for Hermione.
You heard footsteps as you turned to look to see Harry.
"Came to apologize for your friend? Well, tell Ron, I don't want to hear it. Its not me who he should be apologizing to—" You were cut off
"Not that. You wanted to know why a Ron is more like that?" Harry asked you as you nodded
"Well, last night. Something happened" Harry said pulling you to a more secluded place. He looked around before he started to whisper to you
"Malfoy challenged me to a duel—"
"Did he lose!?" You asked eagerly
"Y/n!"
"Answer me!" You shook Harry
"No, he didn't even show up!" Harry stated fixing his glasses
"Coward" You huffed crossing your arms
"Hermione didn't like the idea but followed us anyway since the fat lady from the painting was there. Malfoy sold us off so Filch almost caught us but we sprinted for it and apparently got into the forbidden place that we weren't supposed to go to and a three headed dog was there" Harry explained and your mouth was open wide at this information that he was pouring to you
"Hermione didn't really like the idea of it when we got back. That made Ron slightly not happy with her then what happened in class"
"Oh" You said speechless
"Something tell me that dog was guarding something" Harry said adding suspense.
"Well, whatever it is. Count me in your suicide mission. I haven't gotten out the mansion in years. An adventure like that would make up for it. Just make sure, you don't die"
"I'm older then you!"
"By 1 minute but whatever! I'll keep looking for Hermione. See you in Dinner!" You yelled running off leaving him alone. You then again wandered the halls of Hogwarts. Luckily after Charms, you had free period and if you had free period so did the rest of the first years. Walking around not watching where you were going, you bumped into a wall— scratch that, you bumped into a person creating both of you to fall
"Watch it, Potter!" Spat Malfoy
"Out of all people, it had to be you" You groaned in annoyance
"You got a problem with that, brat?" He glared standing up and dusting his robes not even giving you a hand to stand up
"Yes, I do"
"Luckily, the bloody feelings are mutual. At least we agree in something" He growled walking passed you, standing up, dusting your own robes.
"The only thing we will ever agree on" You whispered to yourself. Continuing your quest on finding Hermione but then again you bumped into someone but this time it was a chest? Falling to the ground, butt first.
You looked up only to see a Hufflepuff. It was that handsome 3rd year that you heard the Gryffindor girls talking about
"Your Y/n Potter right?" He asked giving his hand out for you to grab. You looked at him before grabbing his hand and he helped you up. Your face closed to his chest making you blush at this before backing up
"Yeah, that's me" You said
"Cedric Diggory" He introduced himself
"Pleasure meeting you"
"Pleasure is all mine" You said smugly earning a chuckle from him
"Wow, you really are a Slytherin" Cedric smiled at you
"I'll take that as a compliment" You smiled back at him. Both of you not noticing your hands that were still holding each other. It was until you looked down, only to blush in embarrassment and shyness as you pulled away. Not looking up making sure the blush was gone.
"Well I better go. I need to find my friend" You said smiling softly
"Oh you mean Hermione Granger? Oh yeah, I saw her run into the girl's bathroom—" You cut him off
"Thank god! I have been spending my entire free period wandering! Thank you!" You beamed happily running off.
"Hope we can be friends!"
"You can count on that, Diggory!"

That Halloween night, the great hall has floating Jack O' Lanterns in place of the candles. Harry notices an empty spot on the bench.
"Where's Hermione?" Harry said not seeing the girls figure in the great hall or in the Gryffindor's Table
"Parvati Patil said that she wouldn't come out of the girl's bathroom. She said that she'd been in there all afternoon...crying and Y/n is with her" Neville said. Malfoy who was on the next table aka the Slytherin table couldn't help but over hear this conversation.
Malfoy looks around seeing an empty chair, the chair you normally sit at. The chair opposite to his.
Harry glances at Ron with a disapproving look on his face. Ron only shrugs at this. Suddenly, Professor Quirrell, the weird professor comes running into the Great Hall in panic. Everyone turning to look at their teacher, frantically running in the middle in the great hall.
"TROLL! IN THE DUNGEON! T-TROOLLL IN THE DUNGEON!!" He yelled and the fear was evident in his voice. Dumbledore rises from his seat. Professor Quirrell stopped running, panting really hard from all the running. Everyone fell in utter silences
"Thought you ought to know" He said before completely passing out and falling to the floor with a thud. A deafening silences hugged the great hall before everyone started to freak out. They were screaming and running around
"SILENCEEEEEE!!"
Everyone froze on there spot as the room fell silent again. Calming down at this.
"Everyone will please, not panic. Now, Prefects will lead their houses back to the dormitories. Teachers will follow me to the dungeons" Dumbledore said and soon the prefects all stood up and started to guide their houses.
Snape on the other hand had an expression Harry couldn't pin point but he could tell it was no good as Snape went through another doorway.
Malfoy frowned at this as he watched Harry and Ron being guided by one of the Weasley's.
"Malfoy, come on" Crabbe said as Malfoy stood up following the Slytherin Prefects.
"Gryffindor's, keep up please. And stay alert!" Percy said loud enough for everyone.
"How could a troll get in?" Harry asked confused "Not by itself. Trolls are really stupid. Probably people playing jokes. Someone let it in, I just know it" Ron said. Harry then just remembered that you and Hermione were in the girls bathroom and dont know about the troll.
"Harry—"
"Y/n and Hermione! They don't know!"
Their eyes widen as they separated from the group. Running as fast as they can to the girls bathroom. Until they saw a large shadow
Ron gulps "I think the troll's left the dungeon!"
Harry pulls Ron into a doorway, they peer out to see a large, ugly troll go by into a room.
"It's going into the Girl's Bathroom!"
In the bathroom, You were comforting Hermione who was sat there, wiping her eyes. Hermione then saw something
"Y/n..." She whispered
"Yeah?"
Hermione pointed somewhere as you looked up to see a troll standing there. Your eyes widen, the troll raises its club and smashes the top part of the stalls. You and Hermione screamed loudly. Harry and Ron come bursting in.
"Move!" Harry yells to both of you as you dragged Hermione under the sinks.
"Harry!" You screamed in fear.
You watched as Ron throws a stick to the thing. Your eyes wide open in fear. Hermione was shaking with you in fear.
"Help!" Hermione yelled. Then an idea popped in your head
"Harry your wand! Stick it up its nose!" Your screamed and Harry did as he was told, grabbing his wand, running to the troll and in a matter of seconds. Harry was in top of its head.
"Whoa! Whoa!" Harry chimed. Sticking up his wand to its nose
"Ew" You heard Ron say
You, Hermione and Ron were all disgust by Harry's wand that was up the trolls nose. This created the troll to struggle but the troll grabbed Harry by the leg, having him upside down.
"Harry!" You screech in fear.
"Do something!!" Harry screamed
"What!?" Ron said in a panic manner
"Anything! Hurry up!" Harry cried. Ron grabbed his wand out.
"Swish and flick!" Hermione instructed as Ron took a deep breath. Doing as what Hermione said
"Wingardium Leviosa!" The trolls club lifted up into the air before it fell down, hitting the troll on the head as it got dizzy and fell to the ground with a loud very loud thud. Harry falling to the floor, panting in fear. You crawled to him as you cupped his face checking for injuries before hugging him, who hugged you back.
"Is it...dead?" You questioned.
"I think its just knocked out" He said. You let go of him as he stood up, grabbing his wand from the trolls nose.
"Ew. Troll Boggies" He whispered wiping it on his robes which disgusted you.
Then McGonagall, Snape and Quirrell come rushing in. They all gasp at the knocked out troll.]
"Oh! Oh, my goodness! E-Explain yourselves, both of you!" McGonagall said in frustration and anger.
Harry and Ron were about to say something. You look at Hermione who also gave you a look.
"Actually" You cut off the boys
"It was our fault" Hermione admitted
"Ms. Potter?" Snape asked
"Ms. Granger?" McGonagall asked
"We went looking for the troll. We both read about it in our hang outs at the library. And If it weren't for Harry and Ron. We would have probably been dead— Sorry..." You explained
"Be that as it may be...it was an extremely foolish thing to do" McGonagall stated with disapproval. Harry notices Snape's leg, which has the large cut on it. Snape notices and covers it up, glaring at Harry.
"I would have expected more rational behavior on your part, Miss Granger and Miss Potter. Five points will be taken from Gryffindor and Slytherin for your serious lack of judgment" she turns to Harry and Ron "As for you two gentlemen I just hope you realize how fortunate you are. Not many students could take on a fully grown mountain troll and live to tell the tale. Five points...will be awarded to each of you" Harry and Ron grin at each other "For sheer dumb luck" They heard McGonagall whisper
"Miss Potter" Snape called as McGonagall leave the bathroom.
"Bye.." You whispered walking to Harry and hugging him
"Thank, Bro" You whispered before looking at Hermione with a smile before walking off, following Snape.
The way to the dungeons was silent. He didn't utter a word making you nervous of the punishment, you will receive. The two of you got to the painting.
"Saturday, detention. 9 am" Snape said in a monotone voice
"Your lucky you aren't dead" He said staring at you with a look you couldn't explain. It was like longing, regret and worry.
"Pureblood..." You whispered as the painting opened and you walked in. You hoped that everyone was asleep by now but you saw a figure sitting on the couch, staring at the fire.
"Why aren't you in bed?" You asked
"I should be asking you the same thing" He said glaring at you. You frowned but then smirked, thinking of an idea to annoy him.
"Were you waiting for me?" You asked earning him to stand up
"What!? Are you insane or what? Why would I wait for your ass!" He said getting defensive.
"Jeez, no need to get defensive" You said rolling your eyes
"Whatever, I'm going to bed" He said turning around walking off
"Your being in denial!" You chimed teasingly
"In your dreams, Potter" He spat with disgust leaving you there. You sighed, rubbing your temples
"Dad will kill me if he ever found out of what happened" You grumbled
"100% accurate" Jarvis said
"Not helping..." You groaned
