*sighs* if no one else is gonna feed the knight x servant enjoyers then i guess i'll have to do it -o-
but seriously- why is there literally little to no content about this dynamic
btw, Sapnap = knight
Dream = servant
Sapnap smiled fondly as he watched Dream happily serve the various princesses and princes fruits and some occasional pastries.
The kingdom was having its annual ball, inviting most of the neighbouring kingdoms to lay off their worries and simply have a sip of wine with some small talk to accompany it.
He stood tall as he walked around the castle, an intimidating look contrasting with his actual personality.
To others, Sapnap was this heartless brute who could tear apart anyone who looked at him in the wrong way, incapable of love and terribly cruel to anyone who got in his way.
Dream was almost flabbergasted by all these claims when he had heard them, being utterly confused on how someone could paint his sweet Sapnap in such a rude way.
He supposes that being childhood friends with someone for a long time may have an effect on how you look at them, but Dream just can't see Sapnap as anything else but a lovable panda.
He swung his hips gently from side to side as he heard the beautiful melody of the orchestra play through the air, silently walking towards the grand table that supplied the food and the drinks as he watched the various princes and princesses join together for a dance.
He watched as princesses kissed the princes' hands and took them for a spin, occasionally seeing princes and even some princesses dancing together as if it would be their last.
He could hear the faintest sound of innocent giggling and the clacking of heels.
The corner of his eyes crinkled fondly as he caught sight of Tubbo and Ranboo dancing together, ..more so just mindlessly spinning than dancing but he's sure that they're having a great time.
He was just slightly confused on why he didn't see Tommy or Purpled mixed in the bunch, usually they would all hold hands and spin around the entire castle (the guards had chased them one too many times).
Dream shook his head and reasoned with himself that there was probably a good reason for it, they were most likely still on the carriage coming here or just didn't wanna come.
"Hi handsome,"
Dream practically jumped out of his skin when he heard someone's voice right up against his ear, feeling an arm wrap around his waist.
"Oh my godness, you gave me a heart attack Sapnap!"
Dream smiled as he spun around and was faced with the annoyingly cute sight of Sapnap scrunching up his nose and doing his adorable little smile.
It was a little bit weird in some people's eyes, especially since Dream was taller than Sapnap.
But Dream just wasn't mentally prepared for fighting and violent stuff like that, sure he could wield a knife and do the essentials with it (how else would he be a servant without it) but doing that daily, especially to other people? He couldn't even stomach the thought.
Sapnap however was especially prepared for that kind of lifestyle, he loved the thrill of just barely missing a blade and saving his life, the slight ache in his legs as he ran away from the fight.
Especially the badass scars that it left on his skin. (Dream was much less appreciative of the decorations)
Sapnap only laughed wordlessly as he placed a small kiss on Dream's cheek, idly dropping his head to rest it onto his shoulder.
Dream gasped to himself as he twisted his head to see Sapnap properly, lightly slapping Sapnap's hand off of his waist.
"We're literally in a ball Sapnap, kiss me after,"
Dream scolded, straightening his posture and simply unravelling Sapnap's arms from around his waist.
"Oh come onnnn, no one's lookinggggg,"
Sapnap whined, following behind Dream as he walked over and grabbed a tray off of the nicely decorated white table, stacking a random amount of snacks on top it.
"No, now go and patrol or something, unlike you I have something to do,"
Dream adopted a little bit of a snobbish voice as he waved off his lover, fond smile being gracefully covered with a sly smirk.
"Ughhhh, but I'm totally being big spoon when this is done,"
Dream only rolled his eyes wordlessly as he walked away, hearing the small clacks and clinks of Sapnap's armour ring through his brain.
He bowed gently to the princess who he just served some sweet pastry, the author is too tired to come up with an original name for some bread.
The tray almost slipped out of his hands as he walked back to the table, suddenly feeling a hand wrap around his ankle.
"Hah! Got ya'!"
Dream snapped his gaze down and was met with the cackling faces of Tommy and Purpled, both smiles riddled with evil.
"You brats! Get out from under there!"
Dream spat out the name without a hint of malice, slamming down the tray quietly as he kept his faux angry act on par.
"Fine fineeeee,"
Tommy groaned out loud, throwing out his arm for Dream to pull him up while Purpled simply stood up on his own.
"Oooo, gimmie one of those sparkling shits,"
Purpled's hand reached onto the table to snatch one of the sparkling waters that they had put out (Dream doesn't know if that the drinks have alcohol)
Purpled took just a small sip of the drink before quietly placing it back down, faux confidence on his face as he took a dreadful swallow.
"Parrrrttttttttttyyyyyyyy..."
Purpled coughed into the sleeve of his tuxedo, smacking his lips to try and rid the spiky taste from his mouth.
"Let's ditch this loser and find the cool kids club,"
Tommy flipped his wrist to look at his nails as he placed a hand onto Purpled's shoulder, shaking it violently.
Purpled only scoffed as he draped an arm over Tommy's shoulders and walked off with him, leaving an unamused Dream in the distance.
Children...
Dream thought with just the slightest hint of annoyance, picking up the glass that Purpled had drank from and holding it weirdly.
His eyes held nothing but exhaustion as he walked towards the kitchen, going towards the sink to pour out the remnants of the drink.
As soon as he entered the kitchen, he heard the familiar clinks of a certain person's armour, a deep breath of air escaping him.
He turned around and locked eyes with a certain knight, putting down the drink onto the counter as he sighed.
"Soooo, can I have a kiss now?"
Sapnap teased, fiddling with his finger as he walked up to Dream, gently knocking his head into Dream's chest.
"Yeah yeah, whatever you want idiot,"
Dream cut the talking short as he cupped Sapnap's face and stooped down a little bit so far he could finally lock lips with his favourite boy.
Sapnap easily got greedy with the way that Dream's honeyed lips were placed on top of his oh so gently, trying to press their bodies together tighter.
"Alright alright tiger, cool it,"
Dream teased as he pulled away, waiting for Sapnap to come out of his daze before he finally un-cupped his face.
"We need to get back to the ball anyway,"
"But Dreammmmmmmm-"
"Nuh uh, now go be good and fix up your hair, it got all tussled when we were kissing,"
Dream giggled to himself as he heard an embarrassed whine come from Sapnap, enraptured in his lover.
He picked up the drink once again and let the sink gulp it all down, dropping the glass carelessly into the sink.
He practically could hear Sapnap trying to pat down his hair, the boy being all too rough.
"Lemme do it love,"
Dream let himself soften up, he realized that he had all too mean to Sapnap all day, on edge about the banquet and didn't even gaze at Sapnap during the ball.
"Finally, I was waiting for you to finally call me something other than Sapnap,"
Sapnap spat his own name out like it was poison, facade of anger quickly disappearing as he felt Dream's finger entangle in his hair.
"I'm sorry love, I was too busyyyy,"
Dream let a pout take over his face, dotting kisses all over Sapnap's face when he finally done, excited to spoil his boy rotten when it was all finally over.
"Yeah yeah, I better be big spoon when this is done, don't think I forgot!"
"Oh my goodness... whatever floats your boat love,"
