Jack had been acting strangely these past few weeks. Usually, he's this sweet, possesive, always-by-her-side-boyfriend and now, he's cold as ice.
Whenever she tries to ask him if he's okay, he'll reply a small smile and nod and then he always spends his time mostly on the phone. He's also always leaving the house.
She's afraid that maybe her boyfriend's starting to cheat on her. But she knows him. He'll never do that. Maybe, he's just busy at something.
"Babe." He called. Thank goodness he spoke after 3 weeks. "Hey. Well, guess you already remembered me, huh?" She said sarcastically with a smirk.
He smirked back as he pulled her closer to him. "Aw. Babe, sorry. I'm just busy at work." He said, apologetically as he kissed her nose. She only giggled.
"What work?" She asked. "Well.. uh.. it's over so you don't have to worry about it. So, babe, uh.. Hic invited me to a party. Can we join?" He said, still not letting go of her.
"What party?" She asked, a puzzled look on her face. He smiled before speaking. "Well, Hic said it's a surprise till we get there." As he said that, he's giving her sweet kisses on her neck. Man, he missed her.
Even though, still confused, she agreed. "Okay.."

Okay, so Jack was away for what? 3 weeks. Well, it's because he's planning something for her. Something she would never ever forget. God knows how he missed her, but he had to sacrifice, unless this won't happen.
Anyhows, back to our lovebirds, they'd finally arrive. Rapunzel's wearing a beautiful white dress that reached down to her knees. While Jack's wearing a tuxedo. When she asked why he's wearing that he said that because he'll be hosting this event.
Well, even though suspecting, she just nodded. She knows he will never do anything that would harm her. Of course he wouldn't.
She noticed that her friends were also here. "Hey, babe. There's Merida!" She excitedly said, waving to them as they waved back.
He chuckled. "Yep. Uh.. babe, I need to go. Just stay with them okay?"
"Okay." She said with a smile. He smiled back and gave her a kiss on the forehead and with that he left.
She went to Merida's table and her other friends, Anna, Elsa, and Tooth. "Hi guys!" She greeted and sat down.
"Hi Punzie!" They all said in union. "You look gorgeous tonight!" Elsa complimented. "Thanks Elsa. You too." She said, smiling.
"Hey, Mer. Why's your boyfriend throwing up this party?" Rapunzel asked, curious what's this all about. Merida looked at the other girls with a nervous look on their faces.
Rapunzel raised an eyebrow. "Why? Did I say something wrong?" She asked. They all shook their heads.
"Of course not, Punz.. it's just because.." Tooth said when Anna butted in. "Because.. he wants to do it for Merida."
Merida's eyes widened and gave Anna a glare while the strawberry blonde girl gave her a 'sorry' look.
Rapunzel smiled. "Really? How sweet of your boyfriend." She said and at the same time, teased. The redhead blushed as they all laughed at her while the waiter served them their beverages.
"He's not!!" Merida protested. But they even laughed harder. "You're lucky that your boyfriend's sweet. You know, lately, Jack's been cold to me and only this day he turned back to normal.." Rapunzel said, kinda sad as she stirred the straw in her iced tea.
"Whoa.. Punz.. maybe he's just busy at something." Merida said, trying to cheer her up. The blonde just smiled as response. "Yeah. Like tonight, he's busy because he's busy preparing a pro--" Tooth said when Elsa covered her lips.
The blonde raised a brow on them. "What did you mean about--?"
"He's busy about arranging... Merida and Hiccup's proposal. Yes.. yes.." Elsa lied as she grimaced. She and her sister are so dead at Merida.
The redhead shot a death glare at Elsa. She just responded with a secret peace sign.
Rapunzel smiled widely. "Really Mer?! You're getting married?!"
Merida just glared at Tooth, Anna and Elsa before looking at the blonde. She didn't want to ruin this night for her. So she just nodded. "Yeah.."
Rapunzel giggled and hugged Merida. "Come on guys! Let's give Mer a hug! She's finally getting married!!"
The three girls awkwardly hugged Merida for they knew they'll be dead at her later.
Moments after, the stage in front lit up with lights and the crowds cheer. There's this somewhat white curtain that covers the stage. Rapunzel wondered what's gonna happen next. Soon then, the crowds started to get to their feet and went towards the stage while clapping and cheering.
The girls grabbed her and pulled her right in front of the stage. Rapunzel was confused but she joined in. Suddenly the white curtains fell off and with that she saw...
...her boyfriend on the stage. Jack's standing there, with Hiccup, Flynn, Kristoff and Hans playing the instruments. And Jack? Well, he's singing (that's a first). The blonde girl's eyes widened and her mouth agape as she saw him. Her boyfriend, singing? You're joking.
He's singing none other than, of course, Sugar by Maroon 5 (it's in the title).

That last line blew her mind. So, wait.. it's not Merida and Hiccup's proposal it's their proposal. He's been away for too long because he's preparing this for her? Her eyes widened as her boyfriend got down on the stage and kneeled in front of her.
"Rapunzel, we've been together since like we were in high school. And ever since, I loved you. I love you. And I want to spent my whole life growing old with you, taking care of you, loving you. You are the best thing that's ever been mine. And I can't imagine my life without you. Please, babe. Will you marry me?" Jack said, catching his breath and eyes watering as he opened the red heart-shaped velvet box that contains the diamond ring.
Rapunzel just looked at him. She was sure dumbfounded. Wow. Is this really happening to her? She looked around and saw the people, their friends smiling and gesturing for her to say 'yes', her emerald eyes were also watering.
She looked down at Jack who looks hopefully at her. She smiled before hugging him and whispering, "Yes. Of course babe, I'll marry you."
That made both of them smile as he stood up and hugged her before spinning her around, the crowds cheering wildly. Especially their friends.
He smiled as he put the ring on her finger that fits her perfectly. They were both smiling and crying tears of joy. This was the best day of their lives.
"Wow. How'd you plan this?" She asked. He smirked. "Well, I just thought that I want this day to be the day that we'll never forget. Of course except our wedding." He said that made her chuckle.
Then there's a loud 'pop' and soon confetti and the cheers of the crowd filled the room. They laughed as they watched the confetti fell down when suddenly...
"Kiss! Kiss!" The crowd shouted while clapping and whistling. The two looked at each other's eye and smiled. "I love you. And I can't wait waking up every morning with you. And also having kids." He whispered with a wink. She laughed at the last part. "I love you too. And I can't also wait to grow old with you." She said smiling brightly. He smiled back.
And with that, he leaned in and kissed her sweetly and passionately. She kissed back as her arms wrapped around his neck.
The crowd's cheer became even louder as their friends smiled at the two lovebirds. They couldn't be more happier for their friends.
"Hey Mer, wanna be next?" Hiccup joked as he put his arm around her. "What?!" Merida exclaimed. Thinking she'll punch him, he covers up.
"I'm sorry. I'm just kidding." He apologized but instead, he receives a kiss from her. Hiccup's eyes widened but he soon closed it and kissed her back. "Well, I guess, they'll be the next." Anna said, laughing. They all laughed with the soon-to-be bride and groom.
Well, for Jack and Rapunzel, this was just the beginning of a new chapter. And they can't wait for it (also for Mericcup's proposal xD).
