The next day I wake up early so that I can plan out tonight. It's a Friday so it's the perfect opportunity to sneak out of the dorms. I overheard the other girls whispering last night and from what I've heard, Slytherins are extremely scared of the chamber of secrets. I'm not sure why but I know I'm going to find out.
I hop out of bed and get changed as fast as possible. Then I head down to the common room.
I take a piece of parchment off one of the desks and start writing my plan down.
I reckon we should wait a while after curfew to sneak out so that whoever's on watch will be more tired and more relaxed. I'm going to have to arrange a time to meet the boys and I need to decide who will actually go into the library and who will wait outside.
Seeing as it's my idea I feel as though I should be the one to go in. That way if we get caught I'll get into the most trouble. Maybe Draco and Blaise can keep watch at either end of the hall.
I look up and spot the boys, they look tired but excited nevertheless.
"Morning", I grin.
"Blimey, how long have you been up?", Blaise asks.
"A while".
"Ready for tonight then?", Draco asks rubbing sleep from his grey eyes.
"More than ready", I smile and wave my piece of paper at them.
Blaise snatches it out of my hands and reads hastily.
"I don't know if I'll be able to stay awake that long".
"Yes you will", Draco shoots a look at him.
"What if we get caught?", Blaise asks.
"Then we deal with the consequences", I say.
"We won't get caught mate. Trust me", Draco says confidently.
"Even if we do, it's my idea so I'll take the blame", I say.
"I'm alright with that", Blaise laughs.
Draco shoves him causing him to fall into the couch.
"If we get caught, we all take the blame. It's all of us or none of us okay?", he looks at Blaise especially.
"Calm down darling I'm just joking", Blaise chuckles.
Draco rolls his eyes at him.
"Whatever you do Blaise do not tell anyone", I say sternly.
"Who do you think I am? Long bottom?", he jokes.
I glare at him. "Sorry", he murmurs.
"Okay let's go to breakfast", I suggest.
"Let's go", Draco agrees.
We make it through most of the day without raising any suspicions apart from the last hour of the day.
I arrive at potions early as usual and grab my usual seat. Draco sits down next to me, Blaise following after.
"Um, guys," I say.
"What?".
"Those are Harry's and Rons seats", I say quietly.
Draco looks around. "I don't see Harry or Ron. Do you Blaise?".
Blaise mimics Draco in a very serious tone, "matter of fact I don't Draco", he says.
"They usually sit there. Please don't make a big deal out of this. Just sit in your usual spot.", I beg.
At that moment Harry walks in followed by Ron and Hermione. The class is filling up now.
"Hey (Y/N)", Harry gleams. His face turns to stone when he sees Blaise sitting comfortably in his seat.
"Do you mind Zabini?", he says.
"Do I mind what?", He responds.
"That's my seat mate", Harry says with a tinge of spite in his voice.
"Is it?".
"Yes."
"We don't have reserved seats in Hogwarts do we Draco?", he turns to Draco.
"Not that I'm aware of no", he raises his eyebrows.
"Oh bloody hell", Ron says as he walks over.
"Move it Malfoy".
"Or what?", Draco challenges.
"If you don't move right now and stop being immature little babies I will physically push you out of your seats", I shout.
Harry and Ron begin to laugh.
Draco and Blaise get up reluctantly without breaking eye contact with Harry and Ron.
"You really think you know (Y/N) better then us don't you", Draco says.
"Ya, we do actually", Harry laughs.
"Guess that's why she didn't invite you tonight then isn't it", Blaise chuckles and then realises what he's said. His face drops.
"Tonight? What's tonight", Ron asks as he sits down next to me.
"SILENCE!!!", Snapes voice booms as he storms into the classroom his robes swaying behind him.
I shoot daggers at Draco and Blaise and for the whole duration of that class I'm pretty sure I was daydreaming about different ways to murder them.
When the class finishes, Ron and Harry walk me out.
"(Y/N), what was Blaise on about earlier?", Harry asks.
"Nothing. Well not nothing but I'll tell you when it is nothing", I say flustered.
"What?", Ron says confused.
"Look, I'll tell you tomorrow okay. I promise", I say.
"Okay. Just be safe (Y/N)", Harry says as him and Ron walk into the distance.
I storm into the common room and bang my books down on the desk.
"You absolute idiots!", I scream.
"Oi! I said nothing", Draco protests.
"You started the whole thing!"
"Did not!"
"Did too!", Blaise shouts.
"Blaise shut up!", we say in unison.
"If you hadn't been so concerned defending Potter-".
"Enough!", I shout.
"There's no point fighting when we have things to do. It wont solve anything", I say.
"I forgot about that", Blaise says.
"Clearly", Draco rolls his eyes.
"Blaise you can take a nap but I want you awake by 10 pm.", I order.
"Aye aye captain", he jokes as me makes his way up to the dorms.
I flop down onto the couch.
"Remember to wake him at 10", I say to Draco.
"You can go to sleep too you know. I'll wake you", Draco offers.
"I'm not even tired. Thanks though.", I smile.
"Me too. Cant sleep lately", he sighs.
"Why's that?", I say.
"I don't know", he shrugs, "Blaise's snoring doesn't help", he grins.
I laugh, "I'm so glad I don't have to endure that".
"I'm gonna go read for a bit but I'll be back soon", I say.
"Take as long as you want", he smiles.
I look at him for a minute and I feel as though I have something to say. It's on the tip of my tongue but I just can't get the words out.
"See you soon", I mutter.
