Ariana's POV
I'm woken up by the sun shining through my curtains into my eyes. I carefully feel around in the bed in hopes for Dalton, but I'm met with an empty side
"Dalton?" I called out
Nothing.
"What the hell?" I asked myself
Usually I feel when he gets out of bed. Unless he never came home last night. I slowly lean over and see a note on the bedside table. It was neatly folded in half
"I went to work early, I didn't want to wake you up. I'm supposed to leave today at four so come and see me, please. I love you. Dalton" I read his letter out loud to myself
I checked my phone for the time and saw that it was already eleven, so I should probably get up, take a shower, and get ready for the day. I sighed as I got out of the bed and walked to my bathroom. I quickly turned the shower on and got it to the right temperature and got in and started doing my usual shower routine. Once I was all done, I turned the water off and began to brush my hair out in order to put the extensions in

I made it to Daltons job within a matter of minutes. I didn't see his car anywhere, but I did see y/n's which told me she picked him up today. I parked my car by hers and got out. I clicked the buttons on my keys three times to make sure my car was locked before making my way into the building
"Hey Kelly" I smile at the dark haired girl as soon as I walked in
"Hey Ariana, y/n isn't here, but she should be back any minute" She said
"I'm here for Dalton actually" I replied
"Oh right, I keep forgetting you two are together" she said
"No worries" I laughed
"Perfect, I would love to you show around tomorrow around noon-ish?" I heard a familiar voice
I turned around to see no one other than y/n
"Well I am, but for you, I can make an exception Kendall" she said with a smile
"Great, see you then" she said
As she wrapped up her conversation, she put her phone away
"Ariana?" She asked as she took notice of me
"Who what that?" I asked genuinely curious
"A new client" she smiled
"A very famous client by the name of Kendall Jenner" Kelly spoke up
"Yea, what Kelly said" y/n laughed
"You'll make an exception for her?" I asked
Y/n looked at me confused
"Why do you sound jealous?" Kelly asked with a laugh
"I only meant I'd make an exception because I don't usually show houses before two" she said
I nodded before I spoke
"I wasn't jealous, just curious" I laughed
both Kelly and y/n laughed
"Anyways, I'm assuming you're here for Dalton since he's leaving around three?" Y/n asked
"Three? He told me four" I said
"They moved his flight up" she replied
"Damn" I said
She nodded
"But yea, I am here for him" I smiled gently
She nodded as she turned to Kelly
"I'll come talk to you in a few" y/n told her
Kelly nodded with a smile
"Shall we?" Y/n asked referring to going up the stairs
"We shall, but can we take the elevator?" I asked
She nodded
With that, i followed her to the elevator
"So where did you go?" I asked as we stepped foot inside
"I went to show a house to a friend" She replied
"Who?" I asked
"My Mom's friends daughter" she said
I raised my eyebrows
"Wow that's sounded confusing" she giggled
"It definitely did" I laughed back
"Anyways" she stated as she elevator doors opened
I followed behind her as she stepped out
"I'm assuming you know where Daltons office is?" She asked
"I do, aren't you coming?" I asked
"No, I have to do this paper work" she said holding up a stack of papers that I'm barely seeing now
"Oh okay" I said
"I'll be there in a few though" she said
I nodded
With that, she turned on her heels and began walking to her office. As soon as she sent me a final wave, I walked to Danton's office
"Come in" I heard as I knocked gently on the door
"Heyyy" I sang
Dalton looked up from his papers and smiled at me
"Hey, babe" he said as he stood up to greet me with a hug and kiss
"What are you doing?" I asked
"I was just finishing the paper work before I leave" he replied
I nodded
"What are you doing?" He asked
"Coming to say goodbye to you" I smiled
"I appreciate you coming" he planted a gentle kiss on my lips
"When do you leave?" I asked
He looked at the watch on his wrist
"I have to leave for the airport in an hour" he said
I frowned
"I know, I'm sorry" he said
"Do you have a ride to the airport?" I asked
"Y/n said she'll take me since I came with her this morning" he replied
"Do you think she'll let me go?" I asked
"I don't think she'll have a problem with it" he said
"I'm going to go ask, I'll be right back" I said
"Okay, don't take too long, I want to spend some time with you before I leave" he said
"I'll be back in five minutes" I said
He nodded
I quickly made my way out of Daltons office and began walking to y/n's. Once I made it to her office, I gently knocked on her door
"Come in" she spoke softly
I slowly opened the door to see her typing something on her computer
"Hey Ariana, what's up?" She asked looking away from her screen for a moment
"I was wondering if I could go with you to take Dalton to the airport please?" I asked
"Eh I don't know. I kind of just wanted to spend time with Dalton" she replied with a serious face
"Oh right. Okay, I'm sorry" I apologized
"Oh my god. I'm kidding" she laughed
"You're an asshole you know that?" I asked
She shrugged with a smirk
"Thank you for letting me come though" I added
"You're very welcome" she smiled
"So when are we leaving?" I asked just to confirm
"In like an hour" she said
Then she thought for a moment
"Didn't he tell you or something?" She asked
"Just making sure you know" I said as I nodded my head
"I do. This isn't my first rodeo my friend" she said with a cocky tone
I put my hands up in a surrender before speaking
"So what are you working on?" I asked as I walked to her desk
"Uhh just sending some emails" she replied
I nodded as I leaned on her desk and she was sitting in her chair
"Are you having fun?" I asked teasingly
"Oh yea, totally. WHOOP!" She said sarcastically
That caused me to smile and she smiled back. We held eye contact for a moment before I came back to reality
"Well I should go spend some time with Dalton" I said
"Yea" she nodded in agreement
"See you in a few" I said
"See you" she replied
With that, I walked out of her office and made my way back to Daltons. I didn't bother knocking on his door this time since he knew I was coming back
"What did she say?" He asked
"She said she doesn't mind" I replied
"Good" he smiled
"Yea" I said
"Come here" he said opening his arms for me to walk into

"Can I sit in the back with Ariana?" Dalton asked as he put his suitcases in y/n's trunk
Y/n took a second to look at me as I held hopeful eyes
"You guys aren't going to get it on in my back seat are you?" She asked
"No" Dalton said
"Maybe" I added
She gave me a strict look
"I'm kidding" I laughed
"You better be.. I don't need- actually never mind, just please don't" she said as she shook her head in disgust
Dalton fist pumped in the air as he opened the back seat door for me
"Thank you" I told him
He tipped an imaginary hat as I got in
Deep down, I knew that the airport wasn't that far so I needed to spend this last thirty minutes with Dalton
"Are you excited?" Y/n asked which pulled me out of my thoughts
"Oh yea, super excited to be able to work while in a whole different state" Dalton said with sarcasm
"Oh I was talking to Ariana. I know how tiring you can be Dalton" y/n said with sass
That caused me to laugh
"Well Ariana?" Y/n asked
Dalton turned to look at me
"Tell her you'll miss me" Dalton said
"Of course I'll miss you" I said
I saw y/n's eyes look at me through the rear view mirror. I winked at her in a way to tell her I was telling Dalton what he wanted to hear... in a joking manner obviously. That caused y/n to laugh
The rest of her car ride was filled with conversation about Daltons trip, y/n and Dakota, and what I'll be doing while Dalton is gone. The conversation made the car ride go by quicker, which I wasn't a huge fan of
As y/n parked the car at Daltons terminal, I tried to get out in order to give Dalton a proper goodbye
"Stay in the car, I don't want anyone to see you" he said
I don't think he meant it in a bad way, but it didn't make me feel good considering what has happened before. Y/n turned her head to look into the back seat and gave me a sympathetic smile as Dalton got his suitcase from the trunk. Once he was done, he came back around to the backseat and quickly gave me a kiss
"Actually here" he said pulling me out gently
As i stepped out, he gave me a hug and a kiss on the forehead, but not before looking around. Soon y/n walked around the car and gave Dalton a hug goodbye as well
"I'll be back before you know it" he said
I just nodded as he checked the time on his watch
"I have to get going or I'll miss my flight" he said
"Okay" I said
"Back before you know it" he said
I nodded again
With that, he walked in the double sliding doors and sent me and y/n one final wave
"He'll be back" y/n said
"I know, it'll just be lonely, I've grown so accustomed to him already" I said
"I know" she replied
"Do you want me to take you home?" She asked
"I drove to your job, so no, but is it okay if I stay with you?" I asked
She looked taken aback when I said that
"If not, it's okay" I said
"No, you can" she smiled
"Thank you" I smiled back
"Anything for you" she said jokingly
We began to make our way back to y/n's job as we listened to music and talked

Hopefully something juicy happen to Ariana and y/n while Dalton is gone
