Another night in Hollywood, another party.

I'm at one of the mansions of one of the major rich kids in California.

I'm also on my fifth drink this one being water so I can sober up and go home.

The party has also been raging for four hours and it's currently one in the morning.

Walking outside the array of sports cars and highly speced performance vehicles litter the driveway like leaves in a gutter.

Walking down the concrete steps I finish my drink and discard it in a trash bin, before walking over to my BMW M8 in my signature gloss black.

After unlocking the car and getting in I look at myself in the mirror dilated dark forest green eyes, and neat black wavy hair.

Suddenly I see a familiar person and smile.

Dirty blonde hair, golden chocolate brown eyes. Arianna Verille though she goes by Aria, is the daughter of one of the most successful models in LA and one of my childhood friends.

Sliding into my car dressed in jean shorts with a Gucci belt and a black crop top, she quickly buckles the seat and turns to me.

"Hey Adrian" she says smiling over at me.

Why does her smile have to be so infectious?

Smiling back at her I start the car which rumbles to life and back up out of the driveway and pulling away to drive back to my mansion.

"Hi Aria" I say speeding off down the road, before putting my exhaust on quiet. "Don't want to wake up all of LA".

"Could I crash at your place since it's closer and I won't make you drive to Bel Air?" she asks, giving me a puppy eyed look.

"Fine, now stop staring into my soul".

"Come on it was cute" she defends.

"Nope".

"Yes it was, admit it Winters I'm adorable".

I glance at her, and she's more then that you don't just skip out on model genetics and Aria is definitely a copy of her mom with some slight facial differences.

"I won't confirm or deny" I say as we get to Summitridge.

At the end of the road is my house or at least closer to a modern estate.

I press my thumb to the scanner and enter the driveway where I have all of my cars displayed along with a few I have yet to unveil from their microfiber covers.

"You buy more cars Adrian?".

"There should be an Aventador SV, and a Huracan Spyder" I say.

"How did you get them if you own four Ferrari's".

"I bought them new from the dealership, the Ferrari's I ordered" I say parking in the space, and getting out of the car.

"I should bring my NSX here" Aria says.

"You would bring your white vehicle and park in my driveway of black cars" I say walking up the steps to my front door and pushing open the black painted oak door.

Aria then let's out a whistle looking around the tall entryway, which had wooden floors, and marble vertical pieces on the stairs.

"I always forget how big the entryway is" she says slipping off her shoes as I turn all the lights on, and walk down a set of four steps into my living room.

"How many people have been in this house".

"Me and you, the boys back in NYC have seen a picture of the house, but never inside" I reply flopping onto the couch with my head back into the cushion.

"You're making me seem special Adrian" Aria says smiling over as me before walking over and sitting next to me.

"That's because you are, you should know this I don't just let people into my life" I say and I can still feel the alcohol fogging my ability to think clearly which isn't helped by fatigue.

"You know you're special to me to Adrian I may not see your handsome face to often but it's good when you're around".

"My handsome face" I muse looking over at her with a curious smile.

"Yeah" she says lying down with her head in my lap, "you're all brooding, and cold but in reality your kind, and sweet, despite your love of being in control".

"I like control, for the sake that I know what will happen before others will" I say, "until that isn't the case" I mutter the last bit but because Aria is so near me she hears me.

"What do you mean?" she asks sitting up.

"I came to LA because my girlfriend was kidnapped by her ex, and I promised her several times that nothing would ever happen to her, and I feel like it's my fault for her getting kidnapped whether or not she blames me for it , I came here to forgive myself" I say looking into Aria's eye's.

She then goes to hug me before stopping.

"I don't have boundaries with you, you can touch me" I say before she wraps her arms around my chest squeezing me.

"I'm so sorry that happened to you Adrian" she says.

"You don't have to apologize to me Aria" I say smiling at her, "It was something that was out of my control, that's probably why it affected me so much, because whether I want to admit it or not I'm a fucking control freak".

"You have your reasons to be controlling, there justified when you think about it".

"Thank you for justifying my actions" I say letting go of Aria, before standing and walking into the kitchen to get a glass of water.

"What room should I stay in?" Aria asks leaning in the doorframe.

"There's six in this house, pick one" I say with a laugh.

"How many are in your main house in the Hamptons?".

"Fourteen, my house is also sixty five thousand square feet" I reply, and watch her eyes go wide.

"Go to bed we both need sleep" I say before walking to the stairs, and head to my bedroom. Walking into the room, I look around at the panoramic view from retractable sliding glass doors, that can become hidden in the walls.

I then undress, and walk into the bathroom to shower.

The hot water begins to help sober me up, as I wash the smell of that party, and get the taste of bourbon out of my mouth.

I then walk out of my bathroom and out onto the balcony that looks over all of Hollywood, to clear my head.

Millions of shining lights, it was almost ironic how Los Angeles was supposed to be a city where celebrities lived but most of them were never here.

At least it means quiet in parts of Beverly Hills.

After a while of breathing in the cold LA air I walk back over to my bed and get under the covers.

As I slip out of consciousness aided in part to the cold air my final thought is that in a week time everyone will be out here. Including Olivia.

<><><>

The next morning as I wake up I can hear the sounds of people leaving this area of Beverly Hills.

I then walk into my closet and change into comfy pants, and a black hoodie before walking out of my room and walking downstairs where I see Aria was making coffee.

Me, my friends, and coffee.

"Good morning Aria" I say walking towards the front door.

"Morning Adrian, going to the gym?" Aria asks.

"Yes, I'm in Cali I have beauty standards to live up to" I say slipping on a pair of black Yeezy's.

"I'll come with you" she says walking out of the kitchen, and up the stairs.

"Alright I'll go choose a car" I call up the stairs before walking out the door, and going down to the motor court.

I also know it will take her a bit so I walk over to both of the Lamborghini's I own here and pull the covers off of them revealing the gloss black bodywork, along with carbon accents.

Oh the joy's of having multiple body shops in LA.

I then pull open the door of the Aventador, and get inside before starting the rather noisy car.

A few moments later Aria walks down the steps in black leggings and a shirt, her hair up in a tight ponytail.

She then walks over to the car while I rev the engine obnoxiously until she gets inside.

"You're going to wake up all of Beverly Hills" she muses.

"I don't actually care, it's eight in the morning I can be their alarm to get their asses up and get motivated".

"Alright billionaire boy" Aria mutters and I laugh.

"Aria your mom runs her own modelling business, and clothing line you were also born into a multi billion dollar family" I say driving out of the gate, and speeding off down the road.

"Okay Winters, you're in the top twenty billionaires".

I glance at her with a 'really' expression on my face.

"Aria, Winters Group is a private multi international enterprise, with sixteen subsidiary companies focused on economics in eleven countries, that's the difference here I'm also humble despite how I'm portrayed" I say, "I haven't worked for fuck all of my money".

"You're a philanthropist who gave away a quarter trillion dollars though, that speaks to something".

"There are people that need that money more then me" I say turning down towards Hollywood Boulevard.

"The world would be a better place if there were more people in your position that would think like that" Aria says as we weave down the road.

Ten minutes later we pull up to LA Fitness, and get out before walking inside.

"What day is it Adrian?".

"Arms it's a Monday" I say walking off towards the line of weights, and scanning them until I find the forty's.

Working out has always been a venting thing for me, along with being a healthy addiction to be healthier, because I didn't want to be some gangly kid my whole life.

We stay for an hour, and by the end of it my arms feel weak, and Aria is limping slightly.

"We go in all confident, now we're both leaving like we're crippled" I muse unlocking the car.

"I can barely walk" Aria exclaims lifting her door.

"I see that" I say getting into the car, and pulling my door closed.

"When we get back to your house can you drop me off after breakfast".

"Sure" I say pulling out of the parking spot, and flooring it to merge with traffic.

Out of the corner of my eye I can also see Aria shaking her head before looking out the window.

"How have you not gotten a ticket for speeding, and erratic driving".

"Because I have the best lawyers in the country working for me, and it would be pointless besides, I legally can go faster if I'm merging with traffic, and if other people in my lane are going that same speed" I say.

"Okay well I do the exact speed limit, I refuse to speed" Aria says.

"Responsible driving" I say.

"I still have my L though like you I got my special license to be able to drive alone".

"I also took driving lessons, and did the N test at sixteen" I point, "you missed a few factors".

"I'd have suspected you'd be the safe driver because of the accident with your parents".

"I refuse to drive Jaguar's that's it, I also took the lessons because of that, so that I was a skilled driver at a young age".

"That's actually pretty smart".

"Yes it is".

I then turn up the hill and put my foot to the floor.

"I'm not mature enough to be driving an Aventador SV this early in the morning" I mutter.

"This is your kind of fun, so by all means be immature just not stupid".

"You should tell that to Riley when he gets here in a week time" I muse.

"I might have to" Aria says.

Several minutes later we pull back into my driveway, where I park my car and get out, before locking it and taking the key for the Huracan out of it and locking it as well.

We then go back inside the house before going upstairs.

I quickly shower and get dressed in black jeans and a V-neck shirt, before using a white dress shirt as a light jacket.

"You look Instagram ready" Aria says as she heads down stairs in Versace leggings and a croptop.

This is one of the things I find funny about me and Aria's friendship I dress like it could all of a sudden be ten degrees and she dresses for the exact weather conditions.

Walking back into the kitchen I begin to make breakfast, along with a protein shake.

"Adrian smile for the camera" I hear Aria say and I turn around with my coffee in my hand but I know her so I pose leaning against the counter while taking a sip of my coffee, before looking up and smiling at her.

"Perfect" she says putting away her phone.

For some reason I remember that I had ordered Olivia a new phone because her's got destroyed I also got the SD card, and made sure it wasn't damaged, before sending her the phone two days after I got to LA, so she should have it by now.

Even though I'm across the country, and I'm trying to sort my shit out, I still want to at least help her where I can, and in seven days I get to see her and everyone else, which means I then have to help mend the fact that I haven't talked to her and pretty much had been ghosting her for three weeks.

"What are you making Adrian?".

"French toast".

"You never made French Toast, you always thought it was sweet".

"I got a girlfriend who loves it, kind of got me hooked on it".

Aria laughs lightly.

"I don't think I've ever seen you in love, like actually in love" she says walking around the counter and hoping up onto the counter.

"I didn't think I would either, that was until I realized I wouldn't know what I would do without her" I admit letting out a sigh.

"What's her name?" Aria asks a smile playing on her lips.

"Olivia" I reply.

"Last name".

"Thorne".

Aria goes silent and I glance over to see her deep in thought, her brows pressed together, and her lips pressed tightly.

I then move the six pieces of French Toast off the griddle, and put them on two plates.

"I've never heard of an Olivia Thorne".

"That's because she isn't from our world, she was born to a middle class family, her mother's a nurse" I say.

"Then how'd you two meet?" Aria asks taking a fork and her plate before we walk into the dining room.

"She goes to Thornbrook by scholarship, Riley and Hunter met her first day of Junior year, and I was forced to meet her, but I was intrigued and you know me, I like knowing things so I go pulled in wanting to know her and it became protective, then possessive, and finally I admitted I had fallen in love with her, I took her to Paris and asked her to be my girlfriend there over winter break, we've been dating since then".

"Six months I'm impressed" Aria says.

"She's perfect, doesn't want money, I wanted to share it with her she refused to keep the card and cancelled it. I also bought her the new Carrera GTS for a Christmas gift".

"Sounds like a special and lucky girl, Adrian, I'm glad you found her" Aria says with a smile.

"I am too she made me a better person and now I have to become a better person for her".

"You know I think it will work out in the end, if you two can make it this long with this being the first disagreement, then your doing good".

"The only thing I didn't tell her about it how I dealt with my break up with Sav that's it".

"You should probably tell her that" Aria says with a light humoured laugh.

"I know that, I don't want her having doubts considering that there was something between us at one point for a few weeks".

"I mean if you're honest everything should work out in the end" Aria says as we both sit eating our breakfast.

"I don't lie to her, I don't want to have secrets from her" I say finishing my breakfast.

"Well if you ever need anything I'm here for you Adrian" Aria says smiling at me from across the table.

"Thank you, Aria that means a lot" I say returning the smile.

I hope that I can repair what I broke, I really do, because I'm nothing without Olivia, so I don't want to lose her not over something so simple.
