Even the other person was surprised to see Neil sitting there.

It was gautam standing in front of him with a small smile on his face.

He noticed little gauri standing hugging his leg.

He looked at gautam. Gautam nodded and gave a small smile
Neil: waah bete... Shadi ho gyi aur bacchi bhi ho gyi aur tumne bataya nahi humein... Kyu? (Faking anger)
Gautam: woh bas shadi thoda jaldi mein ho gyi thi...
Neil: accha ji... Shadi jaldi mein ho gyi aur bacchi bhi itni badi ho gyi ab tak time hi nahi mila tujhe batane ka hmm?
Gautam: Arre nahi woh... (Nervous)
Neil: (smiled) Arrey main mazak kar raha hoon... Waise bhi jo kuch family mein hua tha uske baad to...
Neil stopped and sighed.
Neil: chhodo na... Tum mujhe... Is pyaari si doll se milaoge nahi? (Pinching gauri's cheek lightly)
Gautam smiled and picked gauri in his arms.
Gauri was feeling shy so she hid her face in the crook of Gautam's neck..

Gauri peeped out and looked at Neil. She gave a small dimpled smile.
Gauri: daddy yeh bohut beautiful hai... (Shy)
Gautam and Neil laughed at her innocence.
Gautam: baby papa ne sikhaya tha na... Boys handsome hote hai...
Gauri nodded her head and smiled.
Neil: bohut pyaari hai yeh... Ab aao na baith ke baat kare hai...
Neil called his subordinate and asked him to refreshments.
Neil: waise tum rehne kaha rahe ho?
Gautam: woh... Hotel..
Neil: this is not fair... Hotel woh bhi ghar hote huye...
Gautam: neil tum to jaante ho na... Jo kuch hua tha uske baad bebe mujhe kabhi accept nahi karti...

He entered the room in a hurry but stopped when he saw Neil sitting with someone.

He turned to leave.

Gautam nodded and thought something to himself.
Gautam: Neil Tu ja... Kaam kar le... Main baad mein milta hoon...
Neil: oh hello... Kya baad mein? Abhi 10 minutes hai mere paas. (Smiles) Accha yeh batao tum police station kaise?
Before Gautam could say anything gauri interrupted.
Gauri: hum mumma ko dhoondh rahe hai na...
Gautam tried to sush her but no use...
Neil: mumma ko dhoondh rahe hai? Matlab?
He looked at Gautam who gave him a nervous smile trying to hide the words.
Neil: sach sach bata Gautam kya baat hai? Tumhari wife ko kyu dhoondh rahe ho? Kya hua hai Gautam.
Gautam: (sighs) she's missing..
Neil: kya!! Aur kabse?
Gautam: ek mahine se...
Neil: are you crazy... Ek mahine se!? Gautam.. Tumhari wife pichle ek mahine se gayab hai aur tumne ek police complaint bhi nahi ki?
Gauri: mumma to pehle bhi jati thi par phone karti thi par is baar phone bhi nahi kiya aur baat bhi nahi...
Neil: yeh sab kya hai Gautam?
Gautam: Neil actually humari shadi normal nahi thi isiliye...
Neil: woh jo bhi hai... Abhi ke abhi complaint lodge karaao...
He took pen and paper in his hand.
Gautam sighs.
Neil: bhabhi ka naam...
Gautam was about to say the name when he was interrupted by Neil's phone.
Neil answered it was commissioner who asked him to come as soon as possible.
Neil agreed.
Neil: Gautam mujhe jana hoga lekin... (He called out) shivam... Shivam...
Shivam came inside his cabin.
Neil: inki wife ki missing complaint lodge karo and make sure tum search abhi shuru kar do... Okay... And Gautam main ghar ka address send kar raha hoon... Aaj raat tum wahi rahoge okay?
Gautam nodded reluctantly.
Neil left with Sid immediately.
As soon as Neil left shivam noted his complaint and asked them they are free and police will inform them if they found anything...
Gautam stood there in deep thoughts. His phone beeped. It was from Neil who had texted him the address. He kept gazing at the address with a strange feeling in his eyes.
Gautam: samajh nahi aa raha hai kya karu... (Sighs)
Gauri: daddy chalo na... (Pulling his hand)
Gautam smiled a bit nodded and took Gauri with him.
Other side avni was busy thinking about prerna's words.
Avni: kya Neil ko sach mein mujhse pyaar ho gya hai? Par aisa kaise?
She got up and stood in front of a full length mirror looking herself.
Avni: meri height 5'3" Aur Neil ki...
She extended her hand towards the North of her body and stooped it 6-7 inches higher.
Avni: Neil ki itni... Kaafi farak hai... (Pouts)
She looked at her eyes they were black then she recalled Neil's.. They were hazel colored. She placed her hands on her waist and stared at her reflection...
She recalled last night's conversation with Neil...
Neil: meri aur riya ki shadi bhi zero se hi start honi thi...
She smiled a bit.
She recalled her questions to him.
Tum kabhi di ko dinner pe nahi le ke gye?
Neil: nahi...
She recalled their first date. That day for the first time they had shared a couple feel.
A small blush creeped onto her face. She smiles.
She recalled the time when Neil allowed her work. She kissed him in excitement.
Her cheeks turned even more deeper red.
She took out her phone and searched a photo...
Avni smiled looking at this picture. It was candid click by shivam sent to her few days back.
Avni: (sighs) kuch to hai... Mujhe nahi pata kya hai par jo bhi hai bohut khoobsurat hai... (Smiles) main tumse baat karna chahti hoon Neil... Jo kuch bhi hai I want to get it clear...
She sat on the chair wondering about her feelings.
Whole day was busy for Neil.
It was nearly 7 in the evening when he returned home. As entered the Hall he saw the three important ladies of his life sitting and discussing something funny. It was evident from the wide smiles they had on their faces.
His father sat there with a laptop busy writing some mails.
Neil smiled and cleared his throat.
Avni: Arrey Neil... Tum aagye... Main abhi tumhare liye pani laati hoon.
Neil: paani baad mein... Pehle mujhe aap sab ko kisi se milwana hai...
Bebe: kon hai puttar?
Neil looked towards the door.
Neil: ajao..
Bebe and all others looked at the door with anticipating gazes.
Soon Gautam and Gauri got inside the Hall.
The three elders in Hall were shocked to see the guest.
Gautam stood their with nervous expressions while Gauri looked around the people. Her eyes got struck at a single person present there.
Gauri: Angel....
She rushed towards avni and hugged her legs.
Avni smiled at her. All others looked at them confused.
Neil: avni tum inhe janti ho?
Avni: haan Neil woh hospital mein mili thi main inko par yeh...
She stopped when she saw Bebe.
Bebe took small steps towards Gautam with tears in her eyes.
Flashes of past came to her mind. Neil placed a gentle hand on her shoulder. Bebe looked at him ... Neil nodded.
Bebe slowly took her hands to his face... Gautam looked on with glistening eyes.
Her hand stood a few centimeters away from his cheek. Gautam closed his eyes. Bebe gently caresses his face.
Bebe: itne saal baad yaad ayi apni Bebe ki...
Gautam was the son of akhil and mehar khanna, younger brother of prakash.
27 years back akhil went against his father to marry a girl against his father's wish. Bebe's husband being of Orthodox mindset refused to accept the marriage and banished them from the house. All these years bebe had yearned to meet her younger son but was helpless in front if her husband who refused to understand it. It was only on his death bed when he realised the mistake he did. He decided to call them back. Akhil and mehar came and met him. They patched up. Grandfather requested them to stay with them only but akhil had already set up his business in bangalore. So they refused.
Things were okay until one day they got a news of akhil and mehar in an accident. They tried to reach gautam but he refused. Years went by and it was today gautam standing in front of them.
Gautam: woh Bebe...
Bebe: hoo ba hoo akhil jaisa hai tu... (Teary eyed)
Gautam's eyes got teary on the mention of his parents.
Bebe hugged him really tight. Gautam too reciprocated the hug.
Prakash and shweta stepped forward towards him.
Gautam stood there looking down.
Prakash: kitna bada ho gya tu..
Gautam: bade papa... Badi ma...
He hugged both of them and felt his parents' warmth in them.
Gauri who was in avni's arms started crying.
Avni cooed her but she continued to cry..
Neil tried to take her in his arms but she refused.
Avni: shh... Baby...kya hua? aap ro kyu rahe ho? (Worried)
Gauri: (Babyish voice) daddy bhi to ro rahe hai...
Neil and all others who were standing their giggled at her innocent response.
Gautam wiped his tears and took her in his arms.
Gautam: nahi ro rahe daddy... Okay... (He wiped her tears and asked her to smile)
Bebe: meri parh-poti... (Great- granddaughter) oye tu milayega nahi mujhe?
Gautam nodded.
Gauri: (near to gautam's ear) yeh kon hai daddy...
Gautam: baccha yeh papa ki dadi hai.. Aapki Badi dadi...
Gauri: kitni badi dadi.. (Innocently)
All others giggled.
Gautam: yeh hai dadu... Aur yeh dadi... (Pointing at Prakash and shweta respectively) yeh chachu (to Neil) and yeh...
Gauri: ANGEL!! (Smiles)
Gautam: chachi..
Gauri: angel chachi... (Showing her teeth)
Gautam shook his head in disbelief.
Gauri smiled at them.
Shweta: oh my Gods (excited) Prakash ji I becomes grandmothers... Bebe main dadi ban gyi..
Bebe facepalmed herself.
Bebe: haan chalo accha hai ab officially Tu buddhi hai...
Shweta: nahi Bebe... Main buddhi nahi hoon... Me not olds you olds..
Bebe: kya boli tu? (Glaring)
Shweta gulps nervously.
Shweta: (nervous smile) kuch nahi Bebe... Meri zubaan to bas yoo hi chalti hai...
Bebe: (giving a victory smile) hmm...
All others laughed at this MIL-DIL banter.
Prakash: oh Bebe chaddo ji... Kya le ke baith aap log bhi... Neil puttar Gautam ko kamra dikha de... Gautam puttar.. Tu bhi jaldi se fresh ho ke aaja theek hai... Gauri ko bhi le ja...
All of them dispersed to their respective rooms.
Avni was waiting for Neil in their room.
Neil came their folding his sleeves.
Avni: Neil... Din kaisa raha?
She asked handing hum his towel and nightwear.
Neil: (taking the towel) thanks.. Din accha tha.. Tum batao...
Avni: mera bhi theek tha... Mujhe na tumse kuch baat karni hai... Tum fresh ho ke aao phir dinner ke baad batati hoon...
Neil smiled and went away.
At the dinner table,
All others were sitting and chatting when Gautam came in with Gauri...
He smiled at Bebe and sat on the chair leaving one to avni with Gauri to his right.
Gauri sat between her angel and Gautam.
The dinner started Gautam was feeding Gauri...
Avni keenly observed them.
Avni: Gautam bhai...
Gautam looked up.
Avni: main Gauri ko khila deti hoon... Aap apna dinner kar lijiye...
Gautam: nahi avni.,. Don't worry I'll manage aue waise bhi Gauri mere bina kisi se khayegi nahi... Tum trouble mat ho... (Smiles)
Avni: nahi please na... Maine kabhi kisi chote bacche ko khana nahi khilaya... Kya main yeh kar sakti hoon... Please...
Neil smiled at his wife's innocent reasoning.
Gautam was still reluctant.
Gauri: yes daddy... Main angel chachi se khana khaungi...
Now how could Gautam not agree to his daughter. He placed the plate on the table and avni took it excitedly.
She took gauri to the couch. While feeding she was telling her stories and Gauri too was keenly listening to each and every detail.
All others smiled at their bond.
Neil was...

Bebe: (whispers) waise yeh original copy hone mein kitna time lagega? (Controlling her smile)
Neil: pata nahi kab hoga... (Pouts)
Everyone burst out laughing. Neil realised what he said and blushed.
Soon the dinner was over.
Avneil room
Avni sat on the couch waiting for Neil to come as he went to speak to Gautam.
Avni: yeh Neil bhi na... Kitna time ho gya hai abhi tak nahi aaya..
She stood up and started walking to and fro the room muttering something to herself only.
Neil came and saw his wife pacing up and down. He walked up to her.
Avni immediately turned and both collided. Due to the collision Neil took a step back but to his bad luck his foot tripped on the carpet. As a reflex he tried to hold avni to balance but due to his weight avni was pulled into him.
Both fell on the bed. Avni on top of Neil.
Avni's hands rested on his chest while Neil's went to her waist. They had an 👀🔒👀.
Neil's hand went to her locks that blocked the sight of his beautiful wife's face. His eyes had the intensity that could make anyone go weak in their knees.
As he was tucking the hair his fingers brushed on her cheeks.
Avni closed her eyes inhaling a sharp breath.
They had been husband and wife for 5 months they had touched each other casually but today was something different. Avni had never felt shivers near Neil but today the passion in Neil's eyes was telling something else.
Avni felt his scent was intoxicating to her senses. She wanted to look away from his eyes but her eyes refused.
Her fingers clenched tightly around the collar of his shirt wrinkling it.
Neil's hand went to back if her neck steadying it in its place.
Avni's lips parted as the response to his touch.
Neil kept on gazing intently. His eyes shifting from her eyes to the her lips and then back to eyes. Avni lowered her eyes feeling shy.
As she was about to lean ahead Neil's phone rang getting them back to the real world.
Avni nervously stood up and looked here and there. Her cheeks were as red as beet root.
Neil too looked her and there. He took his phone and answered. As he was talking on phone his focus was still on avni...
Avni felt his gaze yet again and rushed to the washroom.
Neil walked to balcony speaking on the call.
Avni stood in front of the mirror in the washroom. Her lips never let the smile go. Her cheeks were as red as Cherry.
She closed her eyes and placed a hand on her heart taking deep breathes.
Avni: avni Tu... Neil ko kiss karne wali thi?
She bit her lip feeling shy.
Avni: par ab Neil ke saamne kaise jayegi?
She was happy hut was worried. What would be Neil thinking of her.

Avni nervously stepped towards the door. Opening it lightly she peeked out to locate Neil. He was still in balcony.
Avni: yeh theek hai... Ab is se pehle Neil aaye... Jaldi se ja ke so jati hoon... Baat hi nahi karni padegi... Haan yeh theek hai...
She tip toed towards the bed and layed there silently covering herself with duvet.
Neil came inside after call.
He sighed looking at his acting wife. He mentally facepalmed himself.
He quietly went and layed on the bed.
Neil: good night avni... (Smiled)
Avni was wide awake feeling Neil's movements. She heard him saying good night to her but had not enough courage to see him again...
Neil layed on the bed looking at the ceiling. A small smile rested on his lips recalling their moment.
Neil: (in mind) ab samajh gya hoon ki tumhare dil mein kuch to hai mere liye... Don't worry avni bohut jald main tumhe apne dil ki baat bata doonga aur tumse sun bhi loonga... (Sighs)
