Authors note: Sam pov in 20 votes! So next chapter probably!! Okay guys yes this is an update for the story I just want to run something by you real quick. I am starting a new book! It isn't hunger games related so I know most of you wouldn't read it but I would like you guys to at least read it and give it a few votes so it can give a boost to my book and let the people who are into that type of book read it. No, I’m not stopping this book to write that one, no I won’t put less effort in this one because I’m writing that one and NO it won't affect my updating! I will tell you when it is published. It will be called Meeting Mr. Player. I'll appreciate all the help I get.

Arianna has always been the good girl, model student, active in multiple clubs, never is late, never has gotten grounded, actually she has never done anything bad at all till she meets Jared. But what happens when a tradgy happens to Arianna’s parents and has nowhere to live. Then one day Mr. Marshall, Jared's father, ask her if she would like to move in with them. Today is the first day of training. I haven't talked to or seen Cato for two days. How am I going to "fall in love with Sam"? I walk in and see Cato brutally thrashing a sword at a dummies head. I walk over to him, well behind him actually, he hadn't seen me. He turns raising the sword, swinging it down at me. A yelp escapes me as the blade comes down. I clap my hands together at the last second stopping the sword in between my palms just in time.
"That's a nice way to say hello. I guess I deserve it." I joke.
"God Katniss... I could have killed you!" He says anger washing over.
"Lighten up, you didn't kill me." I say, crossing my arms.
"But I could have. Just don't do it again." He orders to me.
"But you didn't! And why do you always try to pick a fight with me." I accuse.
"I don't, you’re the only trying to get yourself bloody well killed!" He continues to swing away at targets, further from me now. I look at his arms amazed by his muscles. Stop! You can't think about Cato!
"And you’re the one ordering me around!" I say defensively.
"Why don't you just go make out with Sam or whatever." he grumbles, hitting the dummies much harder now.
"Excuse me?"
"You heard me. Go on your boyfriends waiting... “Why has he brought up Sam? I turn to walk away.
"Oh and Katniss?" He calls.
"Yeah?" I ask turning to look at him.
"When you kill me, you know, to save your family, Kill me with an arrow and make it quick." My eyes widen as his words sink in. He knows about what snow says?
"Oh god Cato...I'm not going to kill you." I sigh, walking over to him.
"Oh really even if it gets you and your family killed?" He looks at me, not believing me.
"Cato, you’re worth it. You are my family. If I actually loved you like you say I did, there must be a reason to keep you around." I say teasingly. He smiles a little.
“that is a good reason to keep me around." he chuckles. His face hardens as I am lifted off my feet and spun in a circle. I turn to see a huge grin on Sam’s face. I mentally sigh as I return the smile.
"Wanna train with me babe?" he asks wrapping his arms around me. Ugh. But remembering that if I want to keep my family safe, including Cato for now, I must go with Sam.
"Yeah sure!" I say, faking the enthusiasm. I turn back to Cato who is glaring at Sam. I grab onto his shoulder, making him crouch down a little.
"I need to talk to you. In private." I whisper into his ear. He shivers, leaning back with a smile.
"I know just the place. Meet me by the elevators in an hour." He says, standing up straight.
"You got it." I turn back to Sam who has his hand held out to me. I take it walking with him to the archery station. I look back to Cato who is staring at our intertwined hands. I feel guilty for hurting him, but I have to. I look away for him, giving Sam my full focus.
"Show me how it's done. Beautiful." I laugh.
"Sure thing." I grab an arrow, ready my bow and release .The arrow making a thud as it hits the red target. I turn back to Sam with a cocky grin.
"Well Ms. Pro... you have had a lot of practice." I giggle.
"Show me what you got." I laugh. He grabs the bow and arrow. He was almost doing it right.
"Uh Sam?"
"What's up babe?"
"Your arrow is backwards." I say trying to stifle back a laugh.
"Oh...” He says, blushing.
"Thanks." he mutters. I laugh. Another person joins in with me. I turn to see who it is. He had dark wavy hair and sea blue eyes. Very, very attractive.
"He won't be able to hit bull’s eye no matter how many lessons you give." The man says with a laugh.
"Oh shut up 4!" Sam says rolling his eyes.
“I bet you a sugar cube that I will hit the target... one shot." The man says with a huge grin. I raise an eyebrow. Sam tosses him the bow.
"Good luck bro. That sugar cube is all mine!" Sam nudges me with his elbow.
“I bet you a sugar cube that he won't." I laugh, shifting my eyes back to the man. He readies the bow, not having his arrow backwards, takes a deep breath as he pulls the string back and releases. He hit bull’s eye. My jaw drops as he sets the bow down.
"What the hell. I think I just got hustled." Sam says with shock. The man laughs.
"You owe me and fire girl a sugar cube." the man says laughing as he walks over to me.
"How rude of me not to introduce myself. I’m Finnick Odair." He says bowing slightly then grasping my hand, kissing it. I blush.
"Katniss." I say awkwardly.
"Nice to finally meet you. I would stay and chat but I have to work on throwing a trident. I shall talk to you soon, Katniss." I smile at him.
“Same here Finnick." Copying him. He chuckles and tells Sam to not forget about the sugar cubes and walks off. Sam sighs. I look over at the clock. Crap I was supposed to meet Cato five minutes ago.
"Sam I gotta go!"
"You’re always running out on me." He pouts a little.
“I know and I’m sorry but I promised Cato to meet him."
"You’re meeting up with Cato?" he says a little disgusted.
“Yeah, bye!!" I shout over my shoulder as I run to the elevators. I see Cato sitting on the bench by the elevators, resting his head in his hand. He looked extremely bored. I bend over trying to catch my breath.
"Cato.... I'm sorry... I got caught up..." I gasp.
"I didn't even think you were going to show up. You seemed to having so much fun with same...” He says, jealously was evidently on his face.
"Are you kidding? I wouldn't do that to you ever! I say looking him straight in the eye so he knows me serious. His face softens a bit.
"Good. You ready?" He asks, pushing the 'up' button on the elevator.
"Where are we going?" I ask as he presses the top number on the wall.
"It's a surprise." He says with a smile.
"I hate surprises..." I mutter.
"I know." he chuckles.
Authors note: you guys will love the next Katniss pov! I already have it all planned out! Next chapter will be a Sam pov but you guys have not reached 600 it’s only like ten more or something!
