"Bella".
I roll over to see Chase looking at me while I lay on his lap.
I look at him. He smiles at me.
"how long was I sleep"?
"About 3 hours. You fell asleep while I played with your hair". Chase said smiling.
"oh". I laugh.
"Where's my dad and Uncle Shawn"?
"They went out for drinks, they said they'll be back later".
"Oh okay".
"Want to order pizza"?
"Sure". I say while sitting back up.
"I'll be right back". Chase says, getting up and walking to the kitchen.
I sit patiently, waiting for Chase to come back in the living room so I just chill on my phone until then.
He comes back in the room 5 minutes later smiling.
"alright so I ordered 3 pizzas, one sausage, one pepperoni, and one pineapple".
"Perfect". I smile, as he smiles, sitting back on the couch.
"What do you want to watch"? he asks, scrolling through Netflix.
"actually I wanted to talk to you about something".
"what's up"?
"So, I was wondering. We're you ever gonna tell me what happened? I want the full story Chase. What else are you hiding from me"?
"It's a long story. I don't think your ready for it". Chase sighs.
"I'm tired of you hiding your feelings Chase. I need to know".
"I...I'm sorry. I can't". he says, standing up.
"Chase what-".
"I SAID I CAN'T TELL YOU"! Chase screams, startling me.
"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell. I just c-can't". Chase mutters softly.
"It's alright". I mumble.
He sits back down and looks at me. He grabs my chin lightly.
"Bella. I like you. I truly do. If I tell you now, your going to run away".
"I won't. Just please tell me". I say softly.
"I hurt women". Chase says quietly, turning away.
"w-what do you mean you hurt women"?
"I hurt her". he mutters under his breath.
"Who"?
"Nessa. One thing I left out in the story is I became very abusive later on in the relationship. I became suspicious of her actions so every time she wouldn't tell me where she was I would hit her. Abuse her. I hurt woman". Chase cries.
"B-but chase You said Women. That was just Nessa".
"No. I hurt her sister too. I abuse women Bella. I'm a bad person". Chase cries out into my shoulder.
"Chase. Look at me". I say softly.
He looks at me, tears streaming down his face.
"Promise me that no matter what happens you won't lay another hand on another female again"?
"I promise". Chase cries out.
I hold my pinkie finger out and so does his as we then lock pinkies.
"promise". Chase says one last time, kissing my pinky afterwards.
I just hope that Chase would not only remember, but keep his promises as well.
