── ──

It was Halloween morning. Y/n, Alicia, and Angelina awoke rather excited. After getting dressed, they made their way to the entrance hall.

Y/n excused herself when she noticed Harry who was looking rather depressed. She walked up to him, putting an arm around him.

"Hey, little bro, why so glum?" She asked. "Uncle Vernon didn't sign the form. I cant go to Hogsmeade." He responded, sighing and pulling away from her. "Oh..." she trailed off.

"Hermione and Ron said they'll bring me some sweets from Honeydukes, but it's not the same." He sighed. "I'll see you at the feast." He told her as he walked away from her.

Y/n sighed and walked over to Filch who was making sure no student who shouldn't be leaving did. After he checked her name off, she met up with her friends; Alicia, Angelina, and Lee.

The four of them walked off to Hogsmeade and their first stop was Honeydukes for sweets. Y/n soon excused herself from them.

"I'll be right back. Cover me." She told them, and they all nodded firmly as they knew exactly what was going on.

She nodded and walked off, her friends standing in a line to hide her figure.

── ──

Y/n sneakily made her way to the cellar of Honeydukes. A man was mixing the fudge. He didn't seem to notice her making her way down the stairs.

For a moment, she stood still and once he turned away, she made her way towards a table where she quickly duck down as he turned back.

The man looked at a clipboard then focused on the fudge once again.

Taking the opportunity, Y/n opened the trapdoor and walked down the steps. As she made her down the passageway, she met up with two tall figures.

"There she is! Right on time." Fred exclaimed, running up to her and pulling her into a hug. She groaned softly, "put me down Fred." She told him, patting his back.

"Is the coast clear?" George asked. "Nobody saw you, did they?" Fred added. "No and no." She responded. "Boys, we've been doing this long enough, have faith in me. The coast wasn't clear and nobody saw me." She told them.

The three of them concocted a plan and made their way back to the trap door.

Y/n walked up the steps and slowly opened the trap door, glancing around. No one was there. "Coast is clear." She whispered and they quickly went up into the cellar.

George closed the trapdoor and they started to make their way upstairs. The three walked out the cellar and into the actual store and over to their friends.

"You made it!" Alicia squealed, looking at them. "You three are amazing, not getting caught like that." Angelina whispered to them.  "Yeah, you can expect them to get anywhere without getting caught." Lee said.

"Oh, you guys are too kind." George said. "Yeah, you're making us blush!" Fred said, cupping one cheek in his head.

The group of six then made their way to The Three Broomsticks after buying sweets. They enjoyed a cup of butterbeer. Lee, George, and Fred had taken part in a burping competition.

The girls rolled their eyes at the foolishness, then began to talk about where to go to next.

"Let's go to Zonko's!" Fred said, putting an arm around Y/n. So they did.

They even passed the Shrieking Shack. Fred, Lee and George tried to go but once they stepped a foot past the gate, they heard a howling noise which made them all run away.

Y/n laughed at their reactions, since she was the one to howl. Their Hogsmeade trip ended with a snowball fight and them building a snowman.

The twins handed their stuff from Zonko's and Honeydukes to Y/n as they made their way back to the passageways and back to Hogwarts.

The remaining four walked back to Hogwarts, laughing at the fun moments they just had.

── ──

The four walked into the common room. The first thing, Y/n saw was Harry talking to Ron and Hermione.

Y/n walked over to Harry, tackling him in a hug. "Hellooo ladies!" She giggled, looking at the three of them. "Blimey, Y/n, you nearly gave me a heart attack!" Harry told her. She laughed, kissing his cheek. "Whoops. Anyways, I got you something!" She grinned mischievously.

The trio eyed her suspiciously. She took out a pair of socks, holding them out to Harry. "For you! Best part; they scream when they get really smelly." She chuckled softly. Harry smiled, laughing softly at thought of screaming socks. "Thanks.. sis." He said, putting the socks aside.

"No problem." She walked off. "And for my boys." She said, smirking slightly as she walked over to Fred and George. She handed them their stuff from Zonko's and Honeydukes.

"Gee, Y/n, thank you!" Fred smirked. "You shouldn't have!" George faked shock. "It was no problem, I'm just that nice." She waved a hand dismissively.

── ──

They all soon made their way to the feast.

The Great Hall had been decorated with hundreds of candle filled pumpkins. A cloud of live fluttering bats and orange streamers. It was a beautiful sight.

And the food was delicious. Y/n, who was feeling sick to her stomach due to all the sweets she ate at Hogsmeade, managed to get seconds but couldn't go on for thirds. Lee, Fred, and George kept muttering "one more bite" as they tried to force themselves the remains of their food.

Entertainment was provided by the Hogwarts ghosts. They did a bit of formation gliding and Nearly Headless Nick even re-enacted his botched beheading.

The feast was such a delight, nothing could spoil the mood.

As they walked down the halls back to the Gryffindor common room, Fred and Y/n were supporting each other by walking closely together, his arm around her shoulders and hers around his waist. With her free hand, she held his hand that was around her shoulder.

Draco Malfoy could be heard taunting Harry by saying, "the dementors send their love, Potter." He snickered. "At least someone's getting love." Y/n mumbled. Fred couldn't help but bust out in a fit of laughter which caused Y/n to start laughing as well.

They reached the portrait of The Fat Lady and noticed a cluster of students. "Why isn't anyone going in?" Ron asked. "The portrait seems to be closed." Fred informed Y/n, his tall figure peering over every head.

"Let me through, please." Percy's voice could be heard as he made his way through the crowd. "What's the hold up here? You can't have all forgotten the password. Excuse me, I'm HeadBoy." He said.

Silence fell through the whole crowd. It led from the front to the back.

"Somebody get Professor Dumbledore, quick!" Percy alerted them.

── ──

A moment later, Professor Dumbledore was there. Fred and Y/n moved closer to the front to see what all the fuss was about.

"Oh my..." they heard Hermione say in a hushed voice. "Holy shit..." Y/n muttered, holding onto Fred's hand a bit tighter. He pulled her in closer.

The Fat Lady was gone. Her portrait had been slashed viciously. Dumbledore's eyes were somber as more professors rushed over.

"We need to find her." He said. He instructed McGonogall to inform Filch and to tell him to search every painting for the Fat Lady.

"You won't be lucky." Peeves could be heard. "What do you mean, Peeves?" Dumbledore asked calmly. "Doesn't want to be seen, she's a horrible mess." He told them. "Saw her running up on the landscape on the fourth floor, sir. Crying something dreadful." He spoke happily in an annoying tone. "Poor thing." His tone suggested he found her distress amusing.

"Did she say who did it?" Dumbledore asked quietly. "Oh yes, Professor Head." Said Peeves.

His tone suggested that he wanted to drag this information on for much longer than he should. "He got much angry when she wouldn't let him in, you see." Peeves grinned. "Nasty temper he's got, that Sirius Black."

Silence fell throughout all of them once again. A single chill running down every Gryffindor student's spine.

Professor McGonogall clasped a hand to her mouth, Lupin's face turned morbid and Dumbledore seemed to remain calm, but his eyes suggested something else. His usually twinkling eyes turned serious as he instructed every Gryffindor student back to the Great Hall.

── ──

They were all soon joined by the students of Ravenclaw, Slytherin, and Hufflepuff who all seemed confused.

"The teachers and i all need to conduct a thorough search throughout the castle." Dumbledore told them. "I'm afraid that, for your own safety, you will have to spend the night right here. I want the prefects to stand guard over the entrance to the hall and I am leaving the HeadBoy and Girl in charge. Any disturbance should be reported to me, immediately." He looked to Percy who was looking immensely proud. "Send word with one of the ghosts."

With a wave of his wand, the tables moved to the edges of the hall and hundreds of sleeping bags appeared around the floor. "Sleep well." He told them and he walked out the Great Hall.

The Gryffindors were informing everyone what had just happened.

"Everyone into their sleeping bags!" Percy instructed them. "Come on now, no more talking! Lights out in 10 minutes."

Fred pulled Y/n over to two sleeping bags near the corner, somewhat away from the crowd of students. "I guess this makes up for not getting to sleep together at the Leaky Cauldron." He joked, snuggling into his sleeping bag as she snuggled up next to him.

Propped up on their elbows, they stared at each other. Y/n couldn't help but smile. By just staring at the boy in front of her, she couldn't help but smile. His smile was so contagious, it could brighten up any dark moment in her life.

They were soon joined by George, Lee, Alicia and Angelina. The six of them put their sleeping bags in a circle and the six of them talked, coming up with notions as to how Sirius Black could've gotten in.

"Maybe he can apparate." Angelina said. "Maybe he can disguise himself." Alicia suggested. "He could've floated." Lee joked.

Y/n hummed, remembering a conversation she once had with Professor McGonogall.

"You guys..." she spoke in a hushed tone. "What if... he's an animagus..." she suggested and silence fell over the group of six.

"Lights out, no more talking!" Percy ordered and the six of them tried their best to fall asleep with the thoughts of Sirius Black rummaging loose throughout the castle embedded into their brains.
