Kartik's POV
Yeh tho wahi ladki hai jisne mujhe propose kiya tha Basketball court mein aur meine reject kar diya tha. Ugh! Kitni chipku type and annoying ladki thi vo and reject kare ke badh bhi mera piccha karthi thi. Lekin she had huge fan following among the guys. Vo Pankaj Gupta ki beti hai? Great! Itne sallon ke badh bhi mere picchey padi hai! I don't wanna meet her though, lekin papa bol rahe hai tho jana he padega aur shayad ussey meri Shaadi ho! (oh no) I hope she is will a different person and not like how she was in the college.

Manish: Tum jaanthe ho ussey?
Kartik: Haan Papa, vo meri classmate thi and we never interacted properly.
Manish: Koi na woh kal hojaye ga! Tho kal pehele meeting aur fir Vedika ke sath DATE.
Kartik: (Annoyed) DATE?? Come on papa it is nothing less than a meeting.
Manish: Come on Kartik!
Kartik: Am Done with my dinner I will go and sleep! Tomorrow is going to be very hectic for me. Goodnight All!
He went to his room and was checking his phone. A message popped up, it was from Naira - Heyy Mendhak! Tomorrow lunch at Taj Kohinoor, Hitech City at 1:30. You've promised me that you'll come and I hope you will keep it up. If you disappoint me this time again, tum soch bhi nahi sakte ki mein kya haal karungi tumhari! See you soon!
Kartik: Yarr mein kya karun? 1:30 ko milengey tho lunch atleast 3 tak hoga and I also have to meet that Vedika also! Ughhh! I wanted to spend time with Naira but I can't.
Another message popped up from Naira- Lunch ke badh Inorbit mein shopping keliye jaengey! Bhai aur Bhabhi ke liye ek gift kaardh ni hai, unki 3rd Wedding Anniversary hai parso ko! I am not requesting you to come but this is my command and you shall follow it.(with two laughing emojis) I hope this is fine Kartik?
Kartik: Naira ko mana nahi kar saktha mein! Already bhouth hurt kardiya meine ussey!
Another message from Naira- Areyy oo mendhak, mere messages ki reply kyun nahi kar rahe ho? Phir se ignore kar rahe ho??
Kartik still does't reply! He was thinking what he should do!
Message from Naira: Kartikkkkkkkkkk(with two angry emojis and one heartbreak emoji)
Kartik was this one also but didn't reply. He rested his back on the bedrest and was in a dilemma what he should do!
Where as this phone was continuously buzzing. Naira was texting him.
Kartik was getting irritated by the continuous buzzing sound. He took his phone put it his notifications on silent and placed it upside down on the bed.
After few mins of constant buzzing of phone, it stopped and his phone rang.
He looked at his phone so dangerously that it could have blasted if he had laser eyes.
He picked up and saw that Naira was calling him. He didn't bother to pick it up.
Once, twice, trice and the fourth time without looking at the caller id he answered it.
Kartik: Hello Naira, please yar I will call you later. I am busy right now! Byee
Before disconnecting the call he saw that the call was from some unknown number, he cursed under his breath and spoke again in a calm tone!
Kartik: Um, sorry who is this?
Caller: Mujhe bhool gaye Kartik?
It was a very girly and sweet voice! Kartik got a doubt if is that Vedika?
Kartik: Vedika?
Caller: Tho meri awaz abhi bhi pehechanthe ho tum! Thank God! (chuckles)
Kartik: Aisa koi bath nahi hai! Anyways kyun call kiya hai?
Vedika: Itne desperate ho tum ha?
Kartik: Please Vedika mera mood accha nahi hai! Bath kya hai bolo!
Vedika: Okay baba bataungi! Chill! Tho tomorrow at sharp 1 we will meet at Taj Kohinoor Okay?
Kartik: What at 1?
He thinks for sometime and then agrees to it!
Kartik: Haan Okay! See you tomorrow.
Vedika: I can't wait to meet you tomorrow Kartik. See you soon baby!
Kartik was irked by the word BABY. He didn't reply anything and cut the call.
Kartik- Seriously BABY? How can she call me that! Anyways leave it! I have to reply Naira!
He texts Naira- Heyaaa! I was a bit busyy! Anyways we'll meet around 1:45pm tomorrow! I got some important work! Also soo sorry for this late reply! See yaa!
Naira's POV
Main itni der se Kartik ko text kar rahe ho aur woh mujhe ignore kar raha hai fir se. Aisa Kar Raha Hai vah Mere Sath? Call Karke try karti hun. Yaar call bhi nahin Utha raha hai mera yah mendhak. We both both didn't even fight but still he is ignoring me.
I know he is feeling low from few weeks because of his father's health condition and he need some time to accept that fact. But how is that related to ignoring me, or else did he find a new friend? This can't happen. I don't want to share my best friend, my mendhak with anybody else. Yaa fir she found a new girlfriend? No that can't happen!
Aisa Kuchh Nahin Hai Naira, you are just overthinking. Agar Aisi Kuchh Baat hota, he promised you that he will first inform you about that. Hopefully kal hum acche sey baithkey inn sab issues ko sort out kare. I can't take this anymore, I can't take Kartik's ignorance anymore.

Naira replies Okay to his message and drifts into her dreams.
Vedika' s POV
Finally mera Ristha Kartik se hone wala hai! I hope ki vo iss rishtey ke liye haan kahe! I can't wait to meet him tomorrow.(Takes his picture and kisses it)
Omgg! I am meeting him after 5 years and hopefully I will stay with him till eternity. Okayy Control Vedika! Apne feelings ko control kar, you will meet your man tomorrow! Till then you can text him right! Par uska number tho nahi hai mere pas? Papa se puch thi hun.
Ab mein ussey call karu ya message karu? Call is better, I will get to listen to his sexy voice! Okay tho final hai, mein ussey call karthi hun. Come on Vedika you can do it.
Yeh Naira kaun hai? Kartik ne uska naam kyun liya? Kya vo uss se pyaar kartha hai? Nah Vedu, you are just overthinking. Agar pyaar kartha tho al mujhse milne ke liye haan nahi boltha! Anyways kitna accha laga raha hai mere Kartik se bath karke! Bas yeh ristha pakka hojaye tho haar roz uske sath...... I can't wait man!

Next morning all 3 people wake up with a hope that everything goes well.
Kartik: Bagwan Ji plzz aaj mein Naira ko let down nahi karna chaha tha hun. Baz 30mins uss Vedika se bath karke mein apna sara time Naira ke sath spend karunga!
Naira: I just hope ki Kartik turns up for the lunch and we sort out our issues and become the old Sherni and Mendhak. I miss my Mendhak. Okay wait 'My Mendhak'?
Vedika: God ji please Kartik iss rishtey key liye haan bole. I love him soo much. I hope we spend a lot of time together today. I can't wait to see my prince charming.
Around 12:15 Kartik starts from his house so that he won't get late and spend exactly 30mins with Vedika and then make some excuse and leave.
He reaches the restaurant around 12:50. He takes out his phone to message Vedika that he is there but he see's a message from Vedika that she has already at the restaurant in 6th floor ie Chinese dining.
He sighs and goes to the floor and searches for Vedika and finds her sitting in at table for two people near the window which is visible from the elevator. He goes to her and she greets him with a huge smile and he gives her small one in return. They both settle down and Vedika keeps on blabbering and Kartik just nods his head. They order Veg Spring rolls and Chicken Lollipops. She was calling Kartik baby which annoyed him a lot.
Then his phone buzzes, he see's that its a notification from Naira.
The message tells - I've started Kartik, will be there in 30mins. I hope you started too?
He replies her YES.
Then Naira messages him- Cool! Btw I've booked a table for us in the 7th floor ie is the Indian dining.
Kartik freaks out reading the message, he checks the time, it was 1:20 so he was a bit relieved that he had 30mins more.
He replied her OKAY.
Vedika was pissed off seeing Kartik busy on his phone. She called him and told to put the phone aside.
Kartik was annoyed but he put his phone aside and then told Vedika that he has 25mins more and he has to leave as he had an important meeting to attend.
She got angry but later agreed to it.
Naira's POV
I lied to Kartik that it will take 30 more mins but it will only take few more mins to reach. I had planned a surprise for you mendhak. I can't wait for it. I will go early and see that the surprise is set accordingly.

Naira reaches the restaurant around 1:30. The restaurant has valet parking but she prefers to park the car. She parked her car and got down. She finds a similar black SUV like the one Kartik has. But seeing the number plate she realizes that it was Kartik's car.
She got tensed that Kartik was already there and she didn't place the surprise yet. She hurriedly got into the elevator and dialed Kartik.
She got into the lift and told the Chinese Dining! The elevator guys by mistake clicked on the 7th floor and didn't realize.
In the mean time she calls Kartik.
Naira: Hello Kartik? Tum kaha pey ho?
Kartik: Vo mujhe aur 10mins lagengey Naira, I am stuck in the traffic. What about you?
Naira wasn't understanding why he was lying to her.
Naira: Well it will take 15 more mins.
While waiting for him to reply she heard voice of a girl saying 'Kartik baby kaun hai phone pey? Please call cut karo and talk to me.
That's it without waiting for his reply Naira was about to cut the call, at the same time the elevator opened and she stepped out. She saw the surrounding and realized that she is on the wrong floor. Till the time she turned the elevator got closed. She clicked on the button waiting for the elevator.
While all this was happening Kartik was till on the call and was saying something but Naira didn't listen. She saw that she was still on the call and was going to disconnect it but she saw something in front of her that she was heartbroken. She told Kartik that she will not be able to meet him as she's got an emergency and cut the call not waiting for his reply.
Tears were falling down her eyes. She got into the elevator and went into the parking. She unlocked her car and got in and drove away from there. She didn't understand what she was doing.
Kartik tried calling Naira but she didn't receive his calls. Later that afternoon Kartik and Vedika had lunch together as his meeting aka date with Naira got canceled.
Vedika enjoyed it but Kartik was very worried about Naira and was thinking why did she cancel it in the last moment.
