We now cut to a forest as we see two nidoran, a boy and a girl on top of a rock but run off as a flock of pidgies fly over their heads. We zoom in on them as we now see the Pokémon center
Steven decided to call his family back in New York to see how they were doing and then his mom sawyer came into the screen
Steven: hi mom
Sawyer: Steven! You scared me, didn't think you'd be calling
As Steven continues Tom sees a small yellow mouse next to her trainer
Tom thinks it was the weirdest rat he ever saw and sticks his tongue out at her only for her to make a make fun face
Steven: sorry mom I just thought id see how things are doing since I came back to the poke islands
Toms face turns red and steam bursts out of his ears as he leaps for her only for her to shock him with an electric move making Tom scream his signature scream. As Steven and sawyer were talking Sid rambles on about his problems with finding a girl with one boy and his lucario overhearing
Sid: and then she picks this hair off my shoulder and says "look if your gonna have an extra mating dance, at least pick a female with the same color pelt" right? And I thought "woah! She's gonna go praying mantis on me" ya know what I'm saying?
Manny: Sid, if ya find a mate in life, ya should be loyal, in your case grateful
By the front desk, a little girl in a blue shirt overhears the conversation as well as Sid bites into an apple
Sid: if ya ask me I think mating for life is just stupid (bites apple) I mean there's plenty of Sid to go around ya know?
The girl looks to true door to reveal nurse joy holding a tray with a single poke ball with a chansey behind her
Nurse joy: your all set. Your Pokémon is completely healed happy and in perfect health
The girl picks up the poke ball
Girl: thanks nurse joy, I was starting to get worried
She looks to a wanted poster next to her
Nurse joy: that's team rocket. There an evil bunch who go around and steal other people's Pokémon and sells them to the highest bidder
Girl: man, wonder what that's all about
Little do they know that team rocket, Jessie, James and their talking meowth were in disguise listening to them
Jessie: she's wondering what we're all about
James: actions speak louder than words
Meowth: all we do is get our paws on primo Pokémon and they'll know how magnificently we rock!
The trio giggles wickedly as a boy holding his vaporeon rushes to the desk
Boy: nurse! Please help, my vaporeon's hurt badly
Nurse joy: my goodness! What happened?
Boy: an entei came out of nowhere! I thought for sure we could catch it
Nurse joy picks up his vaporeon and carries him to the clinic room as everyone gathers around him
Steven: did you just say entei?
Boy: yeah. One of the legendary Pokémon. Their so rare that few people ever seen the! I tried to catch it but it was so powerful, we were beaten in no time. After that it ran into the forest
At that moment everyone rushed outside hoping the entei was still out get here. Steven and his friends join as well but to help entei stay free, not trapped in a cramped poke ball
Meowth: some big whoop. Their totally clueless!
The trio take off their disguises and rush into the forest
Team rocket: entei is on the run! Why ain't that fun?!
Steven and his friends run through the forest with Sid holding onto manny's wool for dear life dodging low hanging branches. Then they see entei in a clearing
Steven and voice: their it is!
They look next to them to see the blue girl right next to them!
The girl rushes to the clearing with the gang behind her
Girl: let's go piplup!
She throws her poke ball into the air and out of it came a cute blue penguin chick
Manny: beat it kid! We got here first!
Girl: I got here first!
She runs faster as the gang pick up speed with Diego right next to manny
Girl: piplup! Use bubble beam!
Piplup does so but entei just leaps out of the way. The gang make it and manny stops in his tracks making Sid fly off and land to the ground as entei land right behind them
Sid: mommy...
Entei then runs the opposite ways just to be ambushed by the boy and his lucario
Boy: lucario! Aura sphere!
Lucario does so only for entei to be completely unphased by it. He then leaps into the forest as gracefully as a gazelle until he was out of sight
Girl: alright! You let it get away!
Steven: me?! You were the one trying to catch it like some sort of... heartless poacher!
Girl: oh! So not only do you let it escape, but now you insult me?!
Steven: the only one to blame is you crazy hunters!
Girl: at least I don't look like a freak of nature!
Steven: is that a threat?!
Girl: no! It was a challenge to a battle!
Steven: than I accept! The names Steven from the mainland and I have to most powerful girlfriend ever!
Latias: (blushes) Steven...
Girl: weirdness aside, I'm variety and I'm from two leaf town! (Looks to boy and lucario) hey dude! One I mop the dirt with this bozo your next!
Steven: nuh uh! I'm gonna mop the dirt with you! Then I'll take care of dog boy over there!
Boy: (returns lucario to poke ball) in sorrel from hailstone city. I'll take a pass in the battles
Sorrel walks away
Variety: running away?!
Steven: that's it! Both of you! Right here, right now! Put em up!
Sorrel: here's a little warning for you, your going to feel the wind soon. I'd start finding shelter from the rain
Timon: weirdo
Steven and variety prepare for their battle, latias looking right at piplup
Steven: since you already challenged me, I'm giving you the first move!
Variety: quite being a gentlemen! You may wind up regretting it!
Latias: now kid, even if your smaller than me, don't expect me to go easy on ya!
Piplup: I want nothing less!
Variety: piplup! Use drill peck!
Piplup charges with her beak glowing and taking the shape of a drill, she spins in the air aiming for latias who flies over it and uses dragon charge at her. They both land to the ground as latias charges at the penguin sending her next to variety
Variety! Piplup! Are you okay?
Piplup: I'll be fine!
Variety: then use hydro pump!
Piplup blasts a tornado of water a latias who and the other dodge as it hits a huge pile of rocks. But it lifts up to reveal a very pissed of onyx! It charges at everybody who runs away as fast as they can with the giant rock snake behind them. Meanwhile team rocket scan the area
Jessie: well I'm here so where's entei?
They feel the ground shake and see the group run around the rock their on as onyx charges through it breaking it apart and sending the trio flying. The gang run into a steep canyon with the onyx hot on their trail! Then Steven gets an idea
Steven: quick! On top of that rock!
They get into said rock and then onyx slams through it making the gang land right on top of his back! It was like a Pokémon rodeo!
Steven: onyx! Please stop! Your just gonna get yourself hurt!
Keldeo: I don't think this is gonna work!
Steven then climbs to the Pokémon's head and leaps in front of him!
Steven: STOP!!!!
Variety: use whirlpool!
Piplup makes a huge tornado of water and lands it in front of onus making him stop
Steven: I'm sorry we startled you onyx! But please don't take it out on us!
Onyx just stares down at the kid not moving a single muscle, then burrows to a canyon wall making the others jump off. The gang look to see a huge hole in the ground
Variety: onyx! I'm sorry!
Piplup: I'm sorry too!
Manny: geez kid, your whirlpool really saved us
Piplup: ya think?! I'm hoping to get so strong I'll evolve into a prinplup!
Variety: thanks Steven. I gotta admit, you do some dumb things, but I'm really impressed
Steven: ya think I'm dumb? I saved a whole island of prehistoric animals from an erupting volcano!
Sid: it's true
Just then, a few raindrops fell
Diego: rain?
Variety: just like that kid said
The gang look for shelter as they run through the forest but then Steven looked to see a small little charmder just sitting on a rock as if he was waiting for something
Steven runs to the sad little reptile with the others with him
Steven: hey little guy. Are you okay?
Charmander: I'm waiting for my trainer. He told me to wait right here
Steven: really?
Charmander: yeah. If he told me to wait here then he has to come back
The little lizard looks up to see someone coming
Charmander: cross!
Steven: cross?
Charmander: my trainer!
Charmander slides down the rock and runs toward said trainer with his lycinrock next to him
Charmander hugs his leg only for him to kick him off making Steven and the gang run to him
Cross: your still here? Go away!
Steven: hey! Mr cross, aren't you his trainer?
Cross: how do you know my name?
Steven: charmander told us so
Cross: (this must be that kid who talks to animals) yeah, originally I was
Sid: originally?
Cross: I ditched the twerp. There are charmander like that one all over the place. But it just kept following me! So I told it to wait in this spot
Steven: that's horrible!!!
Variety: Stevens right! You got a Pokémon and tell it to wait, (cross and lyconrock walks past them) some of them will actually wait forever!
Cross: so what's the problem?
Charmander: problem?
Steven growls primaly and grabs him by the arm, his claws almost poking through the skin but cross shoved him away and lyconrock head butts him away
Lyconrock: no one attacks my master and gets away with it!
Cross: only a Pokémon's strength matters! If it's gonna survive, it need to be strong
Pumbaa: what?!
Variety: wait! Isn't it a trainers job to help their Pokémon grow strong?
Cross: pfff, what do you get for that useless work?
Steven: loyalty, passion, and friendship! That's what!
Cross: your too soft kid. The only thing friendship does is make a Pokémon weak. You'll see. When you see me again, I'll become the greatest trainer ever
The duo leave just like that!
Charmander: cross! (Voice breaks) Come back! Please!
He tries to catch up but he grows so tired and the flame in his tail dims making him fall to the ground growing weaker every second
Steven: charmander!
Steven picks the tired reptile up and everyone gathers
Keldeo: we need to get to shelter before his tail flame goes out!
Manny looks around and see a cave to their left
Manny: there's a cave I've there! Come on!
They all hurry to the cave as fast as they can to save charmander's life. They see lucario and sorrel on one of the ledges. Sorrel rushes to Steven and sees charmander in his arms
Sorrel: you left it out in the rain! What we're you thinking?!
Steven: me?!
Latias pushes him away
Latias: it wasn't his fault! Charmander was already in the arson after his trainer abandoned him! He would've died if not for Steven!
Sorrel realizes what he said and nods. He rushes back to the ledge with the gang with him as sorrel prepares a blanket for charmander to lay on
Diego: ya think you can help?
Sorrel: that's what I'm trying to do
Variety puts a wet towel in charmander's forehead as sorrel prepares medicine
Sorrel: no Pokémon with that much loyalty is going to be left untreated
Sorrel mushes the medicine and gives it to charmander
Sorrel: that should help stabilize you. Now all we do is wait
Charmander: thank you...
Charmander falls asleep as Steven holds him in his arms with latias next to him. Charmander rests for almost 2 and a half hours and wakes up
Steven: you okay?
Charmander: I think... I'll make it. Thank you
Sorrel: things are looking a lot better
Steven: all thanks to you
Variety: your like nurse joy at the Pokémon center
Sorrel: I'm hoping to become a Pokémon professor. And you need medical training for that. Right now I'm traveling all over, gathering data on legendary Pokémon
Timon: so it's a good thing you ran into us huh?
Sorrel: of course! Never in my life would I expect to see a latias and the swords of justice up close in person. It was a process experience. I almost though that no one had ever seen a latias and latios in over a hundred years that they were all extinct
Latias: extinct?
Sorrel: on the motion, ima fraud you might probably be the last of your kind left
Latias: the last one left?
Sid: but look at the bright side latee, ya have us!
Diego: not your most persuasive argument Sid
Sorrel changes the subject
Sorrel: by the way, why did you come here variety? Your a long way from home
Variety: well! Long story... hey Steven! Why are you here?
Steven: well, right now I'm traveling the world helping other creatures that need it. And I saved the dinosaurs, saved the world from ghidorah, saved caterpee here
Caterpee: hi!
Latias: and we met a bunch of legendarh pokemon
Timon: let's see, we met manaphy, kyogre, requaza, kyurem, deoxys, lugia, moltres, articuno, zapdos
Sorrel: you met all those legendary Pokémon?
Variety: that's almost impossible!
Steven: eh. Ya get used to it after a while
Just then they heard ow steps, then they see entei come into the cave with two nidoran, a boy and a girl, a samdahrew, a paras, a cubone, and a rattata and sat right next to the group
Sorrel: seeing the forces of nature, man and beast are all the same
Variety: yeah
Sorrel: there's a legend that proclaims ho-oh gave life to entei
Steven: (fascinated) really?!
Manny: really?
He was being sarcastic
Sorrel: ( nods) you see, during the age of the Titans, there was a magnificent bell tower. And this bell tower made it possible to actually make contact with ho-oh. But when ghidorah came to earth, he destroyed much of the land, and struck the town with his lightning beams, engulfing it in flames. Suddenly a great rain came down, and the flames were extinguished. When ghidorah was imprisoned in ice, three nameless Pokémon secumd to the inferno. Amongst the destruction, ho-oh descended and bestowed life to them once again and they were revived. They represented the lightning that struck, the flame that engulfed, and the water that extinguished the tower. Three natural forces made flesh
Sorrel gets out his tablet to show the group
Sorrel: raikou, entei, and suicune
Variety: oh I just live suicune!
Sorrel: and this is the Pokémon that guards over their existences, ho-oh
At that moment Steven immediately recognized her
Steven: hey! I know that bird!
Variety: you saw her?
Sorrel: for real?
Steven: yeah! When ghidorah was defeated and Godzilla became king she flew over our heads and left me... this!
Sorrel: no way! You got the rainbow wing?!
Timon: rainbow what now?
At that moment, two red eyes revealed themselves from entei's shadow, literally. And went down to Stevens
Sorrel: few people have ever seen ho-oh. and on rare evasions, ho-oh is said to bestow a feather on a human she particularly likes
Steven: your saying that ho-oh gave me this because she likes me?
Sorrel: there's a legend that explains it. It says that there's a rainbow hero who is led by the rainbow wing to seek out ho-oh
Variety: a rainbow hero?
Steven: that sounds weird,but it sounds interesting
Everyone went to sleep shortly after and the next morning, everyone woke up to find entei and his friends gone
Steven: charmander, ya feeling better?
Charmander: yep! Feel like a new Pokémon!
Piplup: that's great to hear!
Sorrel: your tail flame looks good. That says your feeling just fine
Steven: listen, I know you've been though a lot, but ya think maybe, you can join up with us?
Charmander looks surprised but then remembers how cross abandoned him last night
Charmander: I'd love to
Latias: great! Welcome to the animal adventure squad
Sid: nice name!
Steven: it suits us
The gang goes out of the cave to see a rainbow in the mountains
Pumbaa: pretty!
Sorrel: they say that ho-oh lives at the end of the rainbow
At that moment, Stevens rainbow wing shines as bright as the sun and when he points it at the rainbow, it shined even brighter
Sorrel. The legend says the rainbow wing will guid you
Steven: and over that way?
Sorrel: there are quite a mountain of steep mountains. Verision mountain range
Steven: okay! We've got our new adventure, to meet ho-oh face to face and ask why she gave this to me
Latias: let's do it!
Diego: never thought I'd say this but... let's go!
The gang then follows the rainbow and they were off, off to see ho-oh, unaware that team rocket was following them
