We return to the castle where Nami was resting. She met a reindeer that had a blue nose and was standing on its hind legs, but it got scared and was trying to hide from her, but he didn't know that he was on the wrong side.
Nami: "Isn't that... backwards?" she finally made the reindeer realize which made it turn its body to now actually hidden behind the wall besides its head.
Nami: "You're too slow... and you're not completely hiding, either... Just what are you?"
Reindeer: "Sh... Shut up, human! And how's your fever?" he got angry before becoming calm.
Nami: "It talked!" she screamed in shock to see an animal talk.
The reindeer got scared against and fell behind and crashing into different things. Then a elderly female voice told the reindeer called Chopper to keep it down, then the dust cloud cleared out and revealed the witch, Dr. Kureha.
Kureha: "Your fever seems to have come down a little, girl. *smiles wider* Are you happy?" she stood there with a bottle of whine in her hand and placing her finger to feel the temperature.
Nami:"Who are you?"
Kureha: "38.2 degrees... Hmm... You're doing more or less alright. I'm a doctor. Dr. Kureha. But you can call me *lifts glasses up* Doctorine."
Nami: "Doctor... Then I'm in the..."
Kureha: "My secret to saying young...?"
Nami: "No, I didn't ask that."
The witch doctor begins drinking again and told her patient that she's in the castle that's on top of the mountain. Then Nami asked where the three boys were, the witch answers her question.
Kureha: "Yeah, they're sleeping in the next room... very deeply. What tough guys..." she then lifts Nami's shirt to reveal her stomach covered in purple marks that was the cause.
Nami: "What... is this?"
Kureha: "You were bitten by a bug called Kestia. It's a poisonous tick that lives in the jungle with high temperature and humidity. Once you're bitten by it, the bacteria come in and keep you in pain by lying dominant inside your body for 5 days. It causes high fever of above 40 degrees, coinfection, myocarditis, arteritis, cerebritis! Given the infection's progression from the bitten area, I'd say you've been infected for three days. The suffering must have been harsh, but 2 more days should heal you up without any treatment." she explained to her.
Nami: "In 2 more days..?"
Kureha: "Yeah, because you would've died in 2 days."
It left the navigator in shock. The witch said it was called the "5-day disease" but Kestia died from extinction a hundred years ago. But if anything happened like that, Kureha or Doctorine would also have the antibiotic for the illness. Then she asked where they came from, mentioned that their body was exposed to the a jungle. Then Nami finally remembers back in Little Garden.
Kureha: "That ring a bell? What a crazy girl..." then she pushed her down to the bed and told her to stay until her illness has disappeared.
Nami: "Thank you so much. So long as my fever comes down, I'll be fine. My body will care of itself right?"
Kureha: "You're too optimistic. This disease normally takes about 10 days to full treat. Of course if you want to suffer and die... Even with the medicine I have, you'll have to rest for 3 days."
Nami gets up and tries to tell her that she can't stay for three days. They needed to head to Alabasta soon and send Vivi back home. Then the doctor threatens her with a scalpel and tries to make her stay and laughs. The navigator had no other choice but to stay. Now we moved to Chopper who was treating the two pirates. Luffy and Sanji. Then the reindeer remembered what happened when he saved them.
-Flashback-
Kureha: "He climbed this mountain with his bare hands?! This 5000 meters high Drum Rock while carrying three people?!"
Then there's the body that was lying there. Luffy tried to stay up but couldn't because he was freezing and he lost some of his blood that could've kept him warm.
Kureha: "His entire body is nearly frostbitten. What was he thinking dressing like that? Heat water immediately and throw him in and take that top hat guy to another room and treat him."
Chopper: "*inspects Sanji* This guys bleeding badly. 6 broken ribs and a spinal fissure. Can I operate him?"
The witch carried Nami and checked what was wrong.
Kureha: "Apparently, the most critical one is this girl. She's dying. Chopper! Have phenicol, cardiotonic and tialcillin ready!"
Chopper: "Does she have a major illness?"
Kureha: "Yeah... The pathogen isn't from his island."
Then some blood hands grab hold of the witch's arm. It was Luffy, he tried to turn his head and wanted to say some words.
Kureha: "Don't worry. I'll make both that bleeding, the top hat and make this girl better. So rest assured."
Luffy: "*heavy breathing* They're my friends...!"
Kureha: "I see... Chopper! Begin their treatment!"
-End of Flashback-
Then we're back from the past and now in the present. Chopper was staring down at Luffy and started thinking what he said. "They're my friends." Then he started hearing him saying he's hungry.
Luffy: "I'm... I'm hungry..." he turns to his right and see Chopper standing and started saying meat and drooling.
Chopper runs back and bummed into Sanji's bed. And started hearing words from him.
Sanji: "Venison stew needs to be cooked in a pot for 3 hours...Then the meat becomes properly tender."
Luffy: "Meat..." he drooled looking at Chopper who was in fear.
The blue-nosed reindeer get grabbed by Sanji who was dreaming about cooking meat stew. Chopper looked back and forth and see the captain drool a waterfall out of his mouth.
Chopper: "AHHHH! HELP!" he screamed out making Nami hear the noise and see Sanji and Luffy holding onto the reindeer.
Now Chopper is running around everywhere trying to escape the two hungry pirates. Then Luffy stopped and so did Sanji when they noticed Nami was fine. They were happy to see her getting better.
Luffy: "You got better?"
Nami: "Thank you."
Sanji: "Okay, then! I'll make a nutritious venison dish for Nami-san!" he said holding his bicep before returning to Chopper who was trying to escape.
Then the chase continues.
Kureha: "I'm surprised! They can already move around? Where's your other friend with the top hat?"
Nami: "He might be sleeping as usual. He could got out and wonder around somewhere, but what's up with that talking blue nose reindeer?"
Kureha: "You asking me what he is?"
As they were having a conversation the ink man woke up and walked around the hall and admiring it. He kept looking around and starts to hear some yelling, at first he thought it was all in his head but the sound kept getting louder and he turned to see three figures in the hall.
(Y/N): "Don't tell me that's..." he squint his eyes to see better.
Luffy: "WAIT, MEAT!"
Sanji: "WAIT, LUFFY! I'M TELLING YOU NOT TO EAT IT YET!"
Then he gets crashed into them.
(Y/N): "Seriously...!" his voiced echoed through the hall.
Kureha: "His name is Chopper. He's just a reindeer with a blue nose." she starts the story.
Nami: "Reindeers don't speak."
Kureha: "If he's different from ordinary reindeer ins some way,"
Then Chopper morphed into a giant and bashed the two pirates to the ground. Only leaving (Y/N) who was a bit surprised but kept his face neutral.
Kureha: "It's just because he ate a Human Human Fruit. That's all." she told the reason about how Chopper gained the ability to talk.
Nami: "A Human Human Fruit... One of the devil fruits..."
Kureha: "Yeah... He's a reindeer who gained the humans' abilities. And I taught him everything I know about medicine."
-Timeskip brought to by (Y/N) pulling a rabbit out of his hat-
Then after the chase Luffy was being Kureha to join the crew. Then he earned a kick from her when he called her old, then Sanji get one as well for calling her an old hag.
(Y/N): "Don't be rude guys *sip* oh... Wheres my manners? I'm (Y/N) (L/N), I've consumed an Ink Ink Fruit and became and ink man. So you're 139 if I had to guess, I wish I could stay that young." he continues to drink his tea.
Kureha: "Hehehehe... Guessing you've been in those conversations."
(Y/N): "Tell me about it... when people call me sir because I'm 25 it makes me old." he joked and they both laughed.
Luffy: "Come on! Be a pirate in my crew! Old lady!" once again the witch warned him calling her old and at the door was Chopper who was not hiding well.
Chopper: "So they're pirates..."
Then Chopper gets spotted by the three pirates. Then they dropped their jaws and started chasing again, only this time Kureha and (Y/N) wanted to join. They returned back to the room and Sanji stopped to say that he's making a meal for Nami but gets a kick from (Y/N) for trying to harm the reindeer. Then Chopper returns and (Y/N) pooped out and the reindeer tried to run again.
(Y/N): "Oi, stop. Let's be friends." Chopper stopped and looked at him.
Chopper: "What do mean?! I'll never become friends with you!"
(Y/N): "You healed my wounds right? *Chopper nods* You're talented." he smiled a bit.
Nami: "Thank you..." she thanked as well for the reindeer.
Then Chopper started being aggressive and saying that he doesn't make him happy and started saying things that were rude yet, he's seems to be enjoying to be complimented and dancing around. Nami turns to the (Y/N).
Nami: "He's the type that can't hide their emotions... (Y/N)?" she looks at the ink man who was blushing a bit from the reindeer dancing.
(Y/N): "I think I found my future son..." he thought in his head.
As they were talking the two who were chasing the reindeer seems to be around some stairs and realization hits them that their freezing. They stopped to witness a snow tornado going around the spiral stair case, it wasn't long for them to see the witch carrying a bunch of medieval weapons and were becoming the prey instead. Weapons wer being thrown at them and they were able to dodge all of them but it keeps going.
Sanji: "HEY HEY, LUFFY! GIVE UP ON ASKING THE OLD HAG TO JOIN US! SHE'S NOT A DOCTOR! SHE'S TRYING TO KILL US!" he yelled to Luffy to give up trying.
Then Chopper tried to interact with Nami and wanting to make his hoof touch Nami's hand. He asked if they're pirates and they simply answered "yes" and asked if they're real ones. Then after his last question Nami asked if he was interested in pirates.
Chopper: "NO YOU IDIOT! NO!" he ran backwards into bookshelves and books were falling but (Y/N) grabbed him before anymore could fall.
Nami: "You only met him for like a few minutes (Y/N)... what's wrong with you?"
(Y/N): "I've only known him for a few minutes, but if anyone harms him. I'll kill everyone who did it and then myself." he placed Chopper on his shoulder.
Nami: "But... Then... wanna come with us?" she offered making the reindeer complained that he was a reindeer that he would never go along with humans.
Then Luffy and Sanji came around the corner and spots Chopper again. (Y/N) grabbed the reindeer and ran away, the witch didn't bother and tried to chase them, she rested. Kureha didn't like when Nami tried to convince Chopper without the witch's permission. But she didn't mind, besides, he has a scar in his heart.
Sanji: "Hey, Luffy. Look at that door at the front entrance. It's wide open." he spots where the cold wind was coming from.
Luffy: "No wonder it's cold." he shivered.
Sanji: "In any case, let's close this door. With it open like this, there's no difference between outside and inside the castle."
Chopper: "HEY! STOP IT! Don't touch that door!" he shouted to them on top of (Y/N)'s shoulder, but they refused to what he was saying.
Sanji: "Never mind what he says. Let's close it, or we'll freeze to death." he said and Luffy agreed.
Chopper: "Hey! Didn't I tell you to... STOP IT?! he got off of (Y/N)'s shoulder and turned into the giant beast.
Luffy: "What's with him? Why is he angry?"
(Y/N): "Just listen for once Luffy... and Sanji but he doesn't listen to anyone unless if it's a good looking girl." he said and Sanji starts yelling at him.
Sanji: "Wait... I see now, Luffy, come here."
Then they started looking at the door and see the snowbird chicks. If they have gone any further they'll made the nest fall. Then they started realizing that the reindeer was talking, then he called him a monster. Chopper felt sad but (Y/N) was there.
(Y/N): "Don't listen to them... back in my days I was called a monster."
Chopper: "Was it hard for you to let people call, you that?"
(Y/N): "I'll tell you my story *places Chopper on shoulder* I'll talk about as I'm helping." then he wipes the tears of the reindeer and both disappear in the dark hall.
But they didn't stay to hear the last words that Luffy said.
Luffy: "WHAT A COOL GUY! He's interesting! Sanji! Let's have him join us!" he yelled with determination in his eyes.
