This time we have a poem for you which describes that how failures can make us feel that everything is over but even the smallest gesture, a smile, hug or even a memory can make us realise that we have a lot to live for. Yes things are not good right now and you want to escape from this constant sadness but taking your life is not the solution for you will be leaving behind people who care about you way too much. We want you to remember that you are not Alone!
I fell on the ground
As the shouts were too loud,
My will to live fading
with the ticking of the clock.
My mirror had been taped with a newspaper
For what I was about to do needed courage, and if I looked at my reflection,
then traces of mum and dad in it
would stop me from taking this step.
No matter what I do
Failure trails my footsteps,
All the studying and hard work of years Ruined in seconds, just by the letter 'F'.
Academics cannot take all the blame
for I am not doing well in my social life as well.
My social life is as big as a fish bowl,
The water of which is venomous
Because of some stinging jellyfishes.
I see no future where I can be happy,
No light in the darkness
Which constantly surrounds me.
Popping pills or cutting my veins
Is the only solution I have left,
To get rid of these voices
Ringing in my head.
I took a blade and rolled up my slacks
The faster I would bleed,
The sooner this would end.
The blade teased my thighs
And danced along my skin and as I applied pressure,
a red roped string fell from my neck.
Keeping the blade aside
I picked up the talisman,
I had worn it for as long as I could remember
For my mum believed it would protect me from evil.
I didn't pick up that blade again
Just clutched that blessing tight
And cried to my heart's content.
Tearing away the newspaper
I faced my fears,
I couldn't give up on life
Just because of a few failures.
