"Oh my God, you're hilarious" Jungkook laughed out loud after listening to one of Taehyung's childhood stories.
Their laughs filled Jungkook's car as they sat in their seats, clutching their stomachs because it was so funny, it hurt. Taehyung, remembering his memory laughed to the point tears threatened to fall down his cheeks. And the two bestfriends kept at it till the laughter died down, not caring about the judgemental stares they received by people from outside the car.
As they stopped laughing and a comforting silence wrapped around them, Jungkook looked at his watch.
"Tae," he softly began, "it's 5 o'clock". As he finished the sentence, he instinctively look down. Taehyung's smile also faltered as he heard the words. They'd been together for 5 hours now and neither of them wanted to leave each other's company.
Taehyung looked at Jungkook, "What do you want to do now?"
"Tae, I don't want to say bye, not now. I can finally be myself to you as Kookie, I want to spend more time with you. If you don't mind, you want to come home with me?"
Taehyung's heart picked up its pace. For some reason, hearing Jungkook inviting him home gave him butterflies in the stomach. He softly smiled, "Why would I mind? I don't want to say bye either Kookie"
Jungkook smiled, "Wanna listen to music?" He asked
"Heck yes, I'm choosing" Taehyung said as he picked his favourite song.
The two then drove home, the relaxing music calming their nerves.
|JUNGKOOK'S HOME|
"Holy damn, you rich boy" Taehyung said as he stared at the lavish apartment building in front of his eyes.
"Please don't call me that. I literally hate it" Jungkook said
"Okay" Taehyung softly smiled as he remembered the conversation where Jungkook expressed his hatred for being called rich. He had said every expensive item he has now belongs to his parents and requested Taehyung to call him rich when he earns the money himself. The only reason he was living in a luxurious house and driving a rolls royce was because his parents wanted him to. "The heir of Jeon Corp. cannot be living in a middle class apartment Jungkook!" He remembered his father telling him. They were going to gift him a mansion but he refused and requested for a luxury apartment instead.
Jungkook smiled back at Taehyung as he opened the car door and got out. He wrapped an arm around Taehyung's shoulder as he walked him to the gate, up the elevator and in front of his house door. The hallway they stood in was so huge, it could serve as a parking spot for two big cars. He placed his thumb on the thumb print sensor and waited for the door to open. Before going in though, he started fidgeting with the little screen placed next to the sensor. Taehyung didn't notice as he looked into the interior of the house. It was safe to say, he had fallen in love with the warm hues painted on the walls. He noted to take inspiration for when he moved out.
"Tae," He heard Jungkook's voice and turned his head to look at him with a little hum. "Hm?"
"Give me your hand" Before Taehyung could express his confusion, Jungkook already had his palm outstretched for him to hold.
As Taehyung placed his hand on Jungkook's, Jungkook took a hold of Taehyung's thumb. He then took it to the sensor and placed it there. After a few seconds, a message popped on the screen. 'FINGERPRINT SAVED'
Taehyung stared at Jungkook with wide eyes, "What the fuck did you just do Jungkook?"
"Gave you permission to enter my house as and when you want Taebear"
Taehyung blushed at the nickname but remained persistent. "This is your house Jungkook-"
Jungkook cut him off mid sentence, "And you're my best friend Tae, I trust you completely" He held both of Taehyung's hands now. He looked at them hesitantly then looked at Taehyung with the same expression. He knew Taehyung liked him, he was at least a 90% sure of that fact. He was quick to notice the blush on Taehyung's cheeks just now too. But he didn't want to take things too fast. Though, what he was about to do wouldn't be of much harm.
So he reassured himself and slowly, gently placed his warm lips on Taehyung's hands and left a soft peck there. He heard Taehyung's little intake of breath as he felt Jungkook's lips on his skin for the first time. And when Jungkook saw no intention of Taehyung pulling his hands away from him, Jungkook knew what he did was right. He smiled as he stared into Taehyung's brown orbs and said, "This house is too big for one man. I get so lonely sometimes. This is my invitation to you to come here whenever you want to. It'll just make me happy"
Taehyung smiled as the two walked in, Jungkook's hand still holding Taehyung's.
"You live alone on this floor?" Taehyung asked.
"Yeah," Jungkook said as he turned to close the door. "Makes it lonelier" Jungkook said
"Awe, call me whenever you want Kookie"
"I don't need to call you Tae. Just come whenever, I'll welcome you with open arms" Jungkook smiled. He sort of expected Taehyung to come and hug him since he mentioned 'open arms'. But when he saw Taehyung just turn and look around the house, he frowned and pouted. Then he thought of another way to get Taehyung to hug him. Because obviously, just going up to him and asking for a hug would be too direct and would just make things awkward.
So as he removed his jacket, he played his card, "Tae?" He called out. Taehyung turned his head to look at him with raised eyebrows. "I was just wondering, did I get that hug you promised me?"
Taehyung smiled a little, he knew what Jungkook wanted. But he decided to play with him.
"I did, didn't I?" He asked
"Uh I don't think so" Jungkook replied.
Taehyung gave him the 'are you being serious?' look and Jungkook just pouted again. Not being able to resist his cuteness, Taehyung walked up to Jungkook and wrapped his arms around his torso. Jungkook let out a satisfied smile as he returned the hug.
"Here you go bunny" Taehyung said in his chest.
"Bunny?" Jungkook softly laughed.
"Yes, you're a bunny"
"Okay baby bear"
Taehyung's cheeks turned crimson again.
He spoke, "Did you know you're super cute Kookie?"
"Did you know you're even cuter TaeTae?"
Both of them laughed as Jungkook began to run his fingers through Taehyung's soft hair.
After a few minutes, the two parted.
"What do you want to do Tae?" Jungkook asked
"I don't know, you tell me, it's your house"
"Wanna play overwatch?" Jungkook asked with a slight smirk, already knowing the answer to that question.
"Oh hell yeah"
|8:30 p.m.|
After almost 3 hours of playing, Taehyung threw the controller on Jungkook's couch and huffed angrily.
"You're annoyingly too good at this game!" He said with frowning eyebrows
"Awww TaeTae~~" Jungkook teased
Taehyung just folded his arms and turned away from him.
"Aww baby, don't be mad. I just won one extra game." He giggled as he ruffled his hair.
"Whatever" Taehyung smiled as he shook his head.
"It's like 8:30, you want to go home?" Jungkook asked
"Yeah, I guess, I need to be home by at least 9"
"Your house isn't too far, wanna walk? It'll take like 20 minutes"
"Hmm I don't mind"
The two walked out the apartment building as they started walking on the street. The cool winter air whistled across their face as Taehyung shivered in his jacket.
"Who the fuck makes winter jackets without pockets man? I didn't even get my mittens" Taehyung says as he rubs his palms together to create the heat of friction.
"You're cold?" Jungkook asks
"Yeah, just my hands"
The next moment, Taehyung found Jungkook holding his hand and intertwining their fingers together. He then proceeded to put their hands in his jacket pocket. Taehyung heavily blushed, his body no longer getting affected by the chilly air as his body heated up.
He softly whispered, "Th-thanks"
Jungkook stole a quick glance at Taehyung but he would've known about that red shade on him even without looking at him. He softly smiled as he looked away.
Then, Taehyung got even redder when he felt Jungkook's thumb caressing his hand.
|9:00 p.m.|
Taehyung sat on his bed, his cheeks still red as he smiled like an idiot in love. Which, he probably was. He remembered the day, the hugs and them holding hands and walking home. Jungkook had given him a tight, long hug once again, in front of his house. He had held Taehyung's cheeks and had thanked him for the day and for accepting him. He had then waited for Taehyung to go in his house before he started walking back home with a content smile.
Taehyung already missed him, therefore he texted him.
