Viola had spent her Christmas back at home at the cottage, much to her displeasure. She'd wanted to stay at Hogwarts to make sure everything was as it should be and to make sure everyone was okay. Seamus and Neville had assured her that they would be fine on their own while she was gone and would make sure to keep her updated.
She wasn't sure wether she was glad to be back or just plain terrified. Spending time with her parents made her realise how much she missed them and the secured safety and comfort she had there. While being home she'd become agitated and paranoid. Without Dumbledores army to distract her, her thoughts lingered on Harry,Ron and Hermione.
Where were they?
How are they?
Are they even alive?
Did they ever think of her?
Did Harry even Miss her?
She didn't know. She tried to keep her discomfort to a minimum around her mother, not wanting to cause stress to Rosaleé and the baby. So it was somewhat a relief to be thrown back into the chaos of Hogwarts.
The relief didn't last long as she saw the state of Neville and Seamus.
"You looks like you've just been hit with the killing curse multiple times" Viola said inspecting Nevilles face
"Oh thanks vi" Neville replied sarcastically
"Yeah, lovely to know I look like a corpse" Seamus grumbled from his seat next to her.
They were all sat in potions trying and failing at paying attention to Professor Slughorn ramble on.
However the Professor stopped talking making them all look up, "sorry Professor" Professor Flitwick said as he stood at the door "I've got a message for Miss Lupin from headmaster Snape. He would like to see you in his office immediately"
Neville, Dean and Seamus looked at her uneasily while Lavender and Parvati shot her reassuring smiles as she crossed the room towards the door.
Standing outside of Snapes office she knocked on the door before it swung open, letting her walk up the steps.
"You wanted to see me?" She asked as she stood infront of his desk
"Sit" Snape drawled making Viola roll her eyes and comply
"Does he think I'm a fucking dog?" She muttered to herself taking her place on the chair in front of his desk.
"Do you know what these are Lupin?" Snape asked walking over to the vials of memories
"No idea" Viola shrugged "would you care to explain?"
"They're memories. Memories that have been rearranged and put back in the wrong order"
"Well maybe you should sort that out" she smiled sarcastically making Snape look at her irritably
"You see, Lupin. Someone has been in my office-"
"Perhaps you should tighten your security? You know, from one friend to the other"
He looked at her blankly before continuing
"And I believe that, that someone was you. Now, I don't know what you were doing here. But I will find out"
"Where's your proof? Where's your evidence that I have supposedly been in here?" She asked raising an eyebrow "oh that's right, you don't have any. Good luck trying to find some because you won't find any" she said casually standing up and walking away
"You're badge" he drawled monotonously
She turned around taking the head girl badge off her robes and throwing it down on his desk.
She had seen it coming, it wasn't a shock. She didn't consider herself head girl and didn't really bother by the title. She'd continue doing what she was doing with or without it.
"I do love our chats Professor, they always are ever so charming" she finished stepping out of the door and walking back to Potions.
