I had been chilling in my room watching Netflix and scrolling through social media's when I got a text
It was from Jaden

TEXT POV:
Jaden: hey it Jaden
Amanda: oh hey Jaden what are you doing
Jaden: nothing really I was wondering if you wanted to come over?
Amanda: for the project right
Jaden: yea ofc
Amanda: actually I can't go but you can come over to my house if you want
Jaden: alright
*you sent your address
Jaden: see you in a little

AMANDA POV:
I know Jaden live at the sway house and that is where josh lives too I didn't really want to go there or even work on the project today! Why did Jaden hossler trouble maker school jock want to start on the project today? more importantly why did he ask to be MY PARTNER for this project I don't even really know him!
Thoughts flustered my brain for a while when I decided to go get a snack and push those thoughts to the back of my head before Jaden got here

5:30pm

I was watching All American then the doorbell rang and I knew it was Jaden so I went to go open the door
(A = Amanda) (J = Jaden )

A: hey Jaden
J: hey
A: come in
J: thanks
It felt really awkward for some reason like we never really talked before and now he is here at my house. I also noticed Jaden didn't bring a bag or anything that would have carried books
A: so my dad is out and he's coming back later so we can work in the kitchen if you want?
J: yea ok
We went to go sit at the kitchen table and I blurted out
A: so where are your books
J: yea actually I forgot them
A: oh well okay umm
J: umm?
A: WHY?
I quickly covered my mouth realizing what I just said
J: why what?
A: why did you forget your books
That not the question I wanted to ask but I didn't want to be rude
J: I mean it's not like I forgot on purpose *he smirked *
A: right we'll do you know what you want to do the project on then
J: I don't know actually
A: what do you know the most about history then
J: well I grew up in Texas so I learned a lot about that
A: okay that seems-
J: boring I know it fine
A: no actually I think it's really cool
J: okay
A: okay

Things got awkward after that we didn't really have anything else to talk about I don't know him and he doesn't know me plus he forgot his books at home.
I got up and went around the island and stared grabbing things to make food

A: well I t's almost 6 and my dad will be getting home soon so I'm gonna start on dinner
J: yea okay I should get going
A: alright cool

He was going in for a hug but I stepped back and we just ended up waved goodbye and Jaden left. Gosh why was everything so WEIRD. I actually lied about my dad coming home he had texted me he wasn't getting back till maybe ten but it was just to awkward with Jaden so I made something up. After Jaden left I made some macaroni and cheese for my dinner watched more tv and eventually fell asleep.
