I ran to my room and shut the door. I heard the door close and footsteps come up to my room

J: Amanda I'm so sorry

I stayed silent and stood away from Josh

My mind overflowed with thoughts and memories I didn't even notice that Kio came up to my room

Kio: Guys.. there a lady downstairs asking for Amanda

Josh: Amanda?

Kio: yea you should both come down

Josh: ok

Kio left and josh came over and hugged me and he walked me down the stairs

When we got downstairs I saw a nicely dressed woman with papers and a briefcase.

Lady: Hi, my name is Claire and it's nice to meet you all

Josh: hi ma'am my name is josh and this is my sister Amanda and my two friends Kio and Anthony. And my friends said you were here for Amanda? Like a counselor or what?

Clair: Well first off I'm very sorry for your loss, and to follow that I am going to be Amanda's Social Worker.

All: her/my what?

Clair: Yes, I know it's kinda crazy but since Amanda is 17 and still actually a minor she can't live alone

Josh: I can move back and she won't be alone

Clair: I'm sorry it doesn't work that way.. Amanda will be in foster care until she gets adopted or if she is of age. So Amanda please pack for a night and I will bring you back Tomorrow to fully pack, you can have your friends or brother help you tomorrow

A: ok

Josh: ok? Amanda that's it dad just died and your going to go with a stranger and live with them for basically a whole year

A: well what am I supposed to do josh you heard what she said I can't live with you! So yes all I'm going to say is ok

I went upstairs to pack and I did not ask anyone to help me tomorrow. I got my stuff for the night and left with Clair she took me to a group home. The next day I packed my stuff from my room and left my home. Within a week I was put in a foster home with a nice couple and the 14 yr old adopted daughter.
But I keep finding myself check back to the same question... why me? Why them? Why did my dad die? Why was josh so mad? Why did anything in this world happen?.. why?

I really hoped you all enjoyed it and thought it was good. Don't worry though I have a sequel on the way to continue this book. It will be the after math of Amanda in foster care where she once again find the sway boys and Jaden Hossler and her brother will she push them away once away or will she finally accept that they want to be there and support her (but not in her favor)
