Chapter 37-The Bomb

December 26th 00:30am Heroes Park
Damian made his way to where his vision had the bomb, he saw Joker get in a helicopter leaving the bomb

"Sorry kid, your too late you can't stop it no one can" Joker laughed

"I'll stop it clown" Damian shot back

"That's two birdies I've blown up I'll go for all four now" Joker said as he took off

Damian started opening up the bomb, it couldn't be prevented but he could diminish the blast radius to just the park. If he did that he wouldn't have time to escape, not even Barry would escape that.

"I know I promised I wouldn't die again, but I'm sorry beloved" Damian said

Talia, Lex and Joker were in LexCorp towers which was built to withstand 100 nuclear explosions and they watched as it blew up.

"Someone diminished the blast radius" Lex said

"I didn't think he could do it" Joker said

"Who" Talia asked

"Robin, he looked so angry" Joker said

Talia punched him knocking him to the ground

"Why'd you do that" Joker asked

"He wasn't supposed to die" Talia said

"I did warn him but he wouldn't listen" Joker said

"Stop fighting we need to get out of here now before they decided to come here for us" Lex said

As the bomb went off Clark, Lois and Jon were just coming around and they knew something bad had happened from looking at Kon and Kara

"What's wrong guys, are we too late" Clark asked

"No, he did it but I don't think" Kara said

"Don't think what Kara" Lois asked

"We don't think he survived" Kon finished

"Where's Damian" Jon asked

"Jon I'm sorry" Kara said

"He promised, he promised he wouldn't die" Jon said

"Jon honey come here" Lois said hugging him

"Bruce it's Clark, Damian is gone" Clark said over the comms

"I'll go get Captain Atom to clear the radiation" Kara said

"I'll do crowd control" Kon said

"I'll come with, Jon stay with your mother" Clark said

Minutes later a loud boom echoed across the Metropolis skyline as the Batwing arrived, Captain Atom was yet to arrive so Bruce couldn't get closer to the site of the explosion. But Jon flew right past and straight into the radiation, there was nothing left no sign of Damian no nothing everything was dead. Captain Atom arrived and dispelled all the radiation making it safe for Bruce to enter

"He's not dead" Bruce muttered

"Bruce he couldn't have survived that" Tim said

"There would have been some trace left if he died but there's nothing not a scrap, he wasn't here when the bomb exploded" Bruce said

"Then where is he, he couldn't have ran away" Tim said

"He's dead, the bomb fried everything stop looking for excuses for him to be alive" Jon said taking off

"Bruce I'm sorry but I agree with him, let's go home" Tim said

"Okay" Bruce said with a defeated look
