"Ollie!" Kurt groans. "Come on, I've told you a million times you can't put a bunch of ornaments that are the exact same color in the exact same spot!"

"Why?" Oliver asked.

"Because it doesn't look right!"

"It looks right to me."

Blaine laughed out loud from the couch at his sons words.

"Blaine, come take over." Kurt sighed, reaching for the eggnog.

The gelled boy got up, still chuckling, and helped Oliver put the decoration on the tree. It was one of their favorite parts of Christmas, decorating the house.

"Have fun with it, Ollie." Blaine smiled. "It doesn't have to be perfect."

Kurt nodded, deciding he would fix it later when they weren't looking. He felt like he might pass out if it didn't look right. So... unsatisfactory. He knew he was overreacting but whatever.

"Are you gonna come back and help, dad?" Their son called, snapping Kurt out of his daze.

"Yes!" Kurt said eagerly.

At least he could put the ornaments on the right way. Even Blaine had like four red ones all in a clump near the bottom of the tree. What he didn't know was that Blaine was doing it on purpose, waiting for Kurt to notice.

After a little while, Oliver was asked them to turn on Christmas music. Blaine nodded and did as requested. He looked back to see Kurt not-so-subtly moving the ornaments to the right places.

He smiled and caught his husband in a kiss that lasted for a good ten seconds before Kurt pulled away.

"What was that for?" He blushed.

"Just 'cause you are literally the most adorable person I know."

"What about me?" Oliver asked, grinning.

"You're adorable too, Ollie." Kurt said and Blaine nodded in agreement.

The couple went back to the kitchen for a moment, preparing the meal. Things were quiet, too quiet, and Kurt panicked for a second noticing they hadn't seen their son for a bit.

"Oliver?" Blaine called.

"Yeah?" A small voice replied.

They both went over to him and Kurt shook his head. Blaine's mouth fell open. The ornaments were everywhere, along with lots of tinsel and tangled Christmas lights. Oliver looked like a Christmas tree himself, having spilled glitter absolutely all over himself.

"Oliver!" Klaine said in unison.

"Yeah?" He repeated, innocently.

At that point, they just laughed. What else were they gonna do? He was young and they probably shouldn't have left him alone for two seconds.

"Okay, Oliver, you've gotta help clean this up." Blaine concluded.

"Kay."

Kurt was putting things back neatly, his OCD showing a little bit. It wasn't that he was upset about the mess, he just needed it to be cleaned ASAP.

Blaine had done most of the work, insisting Kurt take a break and run Oliver a bath. Kurt was grateful for that and followed accordingly.

Their son fell asleep shortly after and they were able to have some alone time. Kurt put on a movie while Blaine made popcorn and grabbed them two pillows and a blanket.

"I love you." Blaine smiled and Kurt smiled with him.

"I love you, too." And then he looked to the tree. "I'm fixing that later."

"I know you are." Blaine chuckled.

This was so sweet!
