"Blaine..." Kurt whispered, against against Blaine's chest.

"Y-yes?"

"Do you think Annie should've lived with her parents?"

"What? You mean the movie?"

"Yeah, I wouldn't have made them dead. I like Warbucks but he's too fancy for me."

"Too fancy for Kurt Hummel? That's really saying something." The gelled boy joked.

Kurt playfully swatted his arm. Or at least it was meant playfully. Blaine winced and tensed up for a good minute before relaxing again.

"Did I hurt you...? I'm sorry! I didn't think I'd hit you that hard..." Kurt panicked.

"Y-you didn't! I'm okay!"

Kurt's eyes grew wide when Blaine started showing the symptoms of lying.

"Are you sure? Let me see-"

"No!"

Blaine quickly snapped his arm away from him. A short silence followed before Kurt spoke again.

"Blaine...?"

Blaine reluctantly brought his arm back, allowing Kurt to pull up the sleeve. He also closed his eyes, hoping Kurt would not roll the sleeve up high enough so he'd miss the large bruises. No such luck. As soon as he'd seen them he let out a sharp gasp. Blaine wouldn't look at him.

"Who did this?! Was it Karovsky? Azimio?"

"No..."

"Who was it then? Why didn't you show me this earlier?"

"Because I couldn't. I shouldn't have told you just now..."

"Why?!"

"Because I knew you'd respond like this! You wouldn't understand my dads intentions! It wasn't mean to hurt me!"

"Y-your dad... hit you..." Kurt repeated. "H-hit you..."

Blaine still couldn't look him in the eye. He continued to look in the other direction. Blaine wished with every bone in his body he could just disappear.

Kurt was still in shock. Why would his dad hit him?! And why would Blaine keep it from him?! There's no excuse for a bruise that big... right?

"It just got out of hand..." Blaine whispered. "He was mad... and he wasn't in control of himself."

His voice cracked.

"It was an accident..."

Kurt didn't know what to do. For a moment, he wished he'd just left the bruises unseen. But that thought flew out the window when he saw how broken Blaine looked over it.

"Blaine...?" Kurt whispered. "How many times has this happened?"

"A few... times..."

Kurt just about choked.

"Blaine! Why would- that's not okay! You know that right?"

"It's fine! I'm fine!"

"You're not fine! That's a bruise! A huge bruise!" He then lowered his voice. "Blaine..."

Blaine finally looked back at him, tears spilling over his cheeks. He knew he wasn't fine. He just wouldn't admit it. When Kurt hugged him, his emotions straight up skyrocketed. He didn't know how Kurt did that to him.

"I love you, Blaine. But we have to tell someone about this."

Blaine closed his eyes for a moment before nodding.
