(Kate's POV)
We pull up to a small park with a play ground and picnic tables, it was beautiful. Mitch goes to the back of the trunk and grabs a couple of baskets and utensils.
I know this is sweet but how cliché.
Mitch grabs my hand and my stomach fills with butterflies. I love the affect he has on me.
He lets go hesitantly "Is it okay if I hold your hand? I mean if,"
I grab his hand again "Mitch if it wasn't I would of let go already"
He smiles and his face turns a brisk shade of pink.
He heads over to a picnic table next to a lake.
Mitch sits down the stuff on the table but he trips trying to sit down on the seat.
"ARE YOU OKAY" I say trying to help him up but still trying to hold in a laugh cause that might be darude.
(Spell check knows me all to well ^)
"Yeah let's just eat" he gets up and sits on the seat correctly and carefully this time.
I sit down and begin eating.
When we were eating we had a footsie war and Mitch ended up giving me a bruise half way up my leg. (#powerkicksonly)
Some how Mitch ended up spilling lemonade half way down my shirt but yet I really didn't care.
Half way through while Mitch and I were talking I feel a rain drop fall on my nose.
I look up and notice that the clouds were a dark shade of gray.
"Crap...."
Mitch follows my stare an when he notices he puts his head in his head stressfully.
In the time span of about....let me check....5 an 1/2 minutes it begins to start thunder and lightning while Mitch and I run back to his car with all the stuff overflowing out of our arms.
We are running so hard are hearts are going a mile a minute.
When we step in the car Mitch seems very upset.
I am soaked and a little amused.
I start laughing while Mitch just lifts his head from the steering wheel.
"Why are you laughing?" He says putting his head back on the steering wheel
"Just look at us"
He sighs "Any thing that could of gone wrong on this date did"
"Mitch," I left his head from the steering wheel.
He looks me in the eyes with a solemn look.
"I don't care if we both got poison ivy out there and had a rash for 2 weeks, as long as I got the time to spend with you. Your only human and this is how you can prove it to the world. This date was still perfect and I loved it."
He smiles and he stares down at my lips for a second.
He leans forward a little but pulls back.
He looks through the wind shield and looks back at me a little scared.
"Um. I-I was just, you have a eye lash on your cheek?" He says trying to recover from what was just gonna happen.
"Mitch?"
"Yeah?" He questions
"Shut the fudge up and kiss me."
He looks very surprised but doesn't question it.
He leans forward as my heart beat speeds up and I feel like it could just burst out of my chest any minute and fly way.
Then our lips connect.
Here we are, sitting in the pouring rain in a car, dripping wet, covered in lemonade, kissing.
But I wouldn't trade this moment for any thing in the world...
