Chapter 13: How fast can a Night Change?

(Kate's POV)

Friday morning.

Tonight's Preston's party.

Still worried, still scared.

I wake up and check my phone.

I had a couple messages from Mitch and Adam.

I had some Twitter and Instagram notifications.

But the thing that I found the craziest was that unknown number, texted me. Again.

Okay, calm down, calm down.

I get up and go get breakfast and get ready for the day.

"KATE YOU ALMOST READY?!" Kynley and Adam yell from down stairs

"YEAH ILL BE DOWN WHEN IT'S TIME IMMA RECORD SOME THING!"

I am straightening my hair for the party and I'm just finishing up.

I decided to wear a pair of sandals, a Paris tank top from one of my haul videos, and a pair of shorts.

I am finished and I get my stuff all gathered up and sit down in my computer chair.

"Hey Angels it's ArtificialAngel here and I'm back with another hunger games"

We get into my car and Adam takes him and Kynley in his car. I drive with Allie and Kimberly to Preston's house which is about a 10 minute drive.

It doesn't take long to get there when we pull up and park.

I grab my stuff and step out locking the car.

I wait for every one then we head towards the door.

It's about 7:05 when we get there but when I ring the door some random wasted guy answers the door.

"Heyyyy, your'reeeee hottt" he says while hiccuping mid sentence.

"Thanks? Can we come in now"

"Sureee," he says then opening the door wider.

Everyone walks ahead of me, while I go in last the guy grabs my butt.

"Leave me alone ya pervert" I say waking off to find some one to talk to.

I look around seeing lots of drunk YouTubers and other random college/teens.

I look through the crowd and see Mitch so I go and head towards him.

I get closer and see him talking to a couple people but then I see him making out with some girl. Then I recognize it as one girl I was not hoping to see tonight. Emma. WHO INVITED HER!

This was what she was talking about... SHE WAS THE UNKNOWN NUMBER!

Well.

We weren't dating so, I guess he's free, I can't do any thing about it.

I wipe away a tear that was on my cheek and walk away.

"Hey Lachlan"

"Hey Kalee, I mean Kate" says a tipsy Lachlan.

"What's up?" I say with a raspy sad voice

"Nothing much, don't you want to talk to the Mitchell?I haven't seen the duck lately!"

"Duck? And no I really don't want to talk to him at the moment"

"Yeahhhhh" then he stumbles away to God knows where.

I hear the music blasting through my ears so I push my way through the crowd towards the kitchen.

Beer, wine, and more beer.

I'll pass.

I pour a small glass of water from the sink and sit down on the island chair and get on my phone and play Crossy Road because yeah Crossy Road is fun.

"Why you all alone babe?" I hear from behind me

I turn around and see Zach.

"ZACH"

I jump up and hug him, aww I miss this guy.

"I missed you so much"

"I missed you more gorgeous"

"Okay I know it's been like 5 years but when did I become this sexy to you" I sat laughing

He leans in closer

"You already were" he whispers in my ear, his breath reeking of alcohol.

"Zach are you drunk?"

"No cutie. Wanna come with me?" He grabs my wrist and pulls me.

"No no, Zach your drunk you don't know what your doing, your gonna regret this."

"No I won't" he says pulling a little harder.

"Zach no stop I don't want to"

"YES YOU DO, YOUR COMING WITH ME WHORE!" He says yanking me towards one of the bedrooms.

"SHE SAID NO! GET THE F**K AWAY FROM HER"
Mitch says running in through the crowd pushing Zach away.

"Yeah what are you gonna do about it!" Zach says pushing Mitch back.

Mitch starts punching Zach as a big fight starts right in front of every one.

"STOP" I scream

They keep fighting, I start crying and screaming louder.

What am I gonna do?

I step in and try to stop it but am pushed away.

Then Rob, Vikk, Lachlan, Adam, Preston, and some other guys come in and pull them off of each other.

Mitch has a bloody nose and puffy eye.

I look at Zach and Mitch then back to Zach.

"H-How could you both?"

"Kate" Mitch says trying to pull away from the guys grip.

"No"

I walk over to Adam.

"Hey can you take the girls home, I'm going home now"

"Yeah sure any thing Kate"

"Thanks" I give him a hug and grab my stuff with every one still watching the scene.

I look around at every one and Emma.

Emma mouths "watch your back"

I stare at Mitch and turn around and walk to the door.

"Thanks for inviting me Preston" I say then walk out the door and leave.

Well any thing can change some thing fun...into the worst possible night ever.

I drive home silently in the dark.

I get home and change and crawl into my bed.

I turn on my side and stare at the wall quietly and I hear my phone go off.

I think about responding but then again I hate his guts at the moment.

I don't respond just turn off my phone and go to sleep.

A/N I haven't had school since last Friday and my school still doesn't even have school tomorrow. YEAH FOR ME! I literally was having a struggle writing this but then I had inspiration. Well thank you for 845 reads, it means a lot.
