Chapter 3: Stolen Kisses, Pretty Lies

(Kate's POV)

I get to my dorm where most of my stuff is moved out but Kynley is standing there looking very exhausted with just a table and 2 chairs left in the room.

"I think I was a little late"

"YOU THINK?"

I help bring the other furniture to the moving van. Then we hear off to our new life. Or at least that what I thought...

We pull up to a really nice house, this is not what I was expecting.

The girls picked out the house while I visited my parents that weekend. Yes they told me what it was like but I did not see it.

I grabbed my luggage while Allie and Kimberly ran inside hoping to get to pick the room first.

"This is so fancy how did we afford this?"

I turn to Kynley hoping for a answer I won't be ashamed of.

"Kate, we went to a great college that you got a full scholarship to. You saved so much money up like the rest of us I think we had enough." She chuckles, goes inside bags in hand.

I still stand there.

Wow. This is gonna be...interesting to say the least.

Struggling to hold me bags with no help what so ever I waddle inside.

Opening the door with my pinkie I sigh over the inside.

It has a staircase with a living room and lounge area. The kitchen is in a room beside where you walk in and then the bed rooms are upstairs. There is also a pool in the back with a deck and patio.

I drag my bags up the stairs when I come to my room.

It is pretty big not like huge cause I can tell you now we are not rich!

The walls are painted white, we are going to have to change that!

There is no furniture in here so it looks pretty bland. There are some windows that are pink though.

Okay now they know we were coming!

I put the stuff in the hall way because we were going to paint the walls today because it is only like 11:00.

We all empty the truck and then the movers leave.

We bring the lavender paint to my room while Kynley has pink, Kimberly purple, Destiny blue, and Allie likes her room so she is just going to help us I guess.

We all can do it by our selfs though because we did just graduate from a art and photography school. Well I'll tell you how it goes now go guys I have to paint

I am so tired it is like 1:00 am the next day and we have organized our rooms but it still needs more adjustments you didn't expect us to finish on the first day did you?

My wall is painted lavender but has paint splatter on it. I love it!

Don't judge me I'm still a kid!

Every one is pooped so we wanted to go out side for a early swim in our pool.

It is summer so why nor enjoy that?

I put on my bikini and there is no need for sun screen because the sun is not out.

The girls so out while I am still doing my hair in a braid. I look out my the glass doors that lead to a balcony just like the neighbors house does.

I believe there are people moving in right beside of us. I will have to meet them soon.

I finish my hair and look out my window to see our neighbors. Their blinds are shut but I can see their shadow.

They come to the glass doors and open them.

️Fudge, it's Mitch...

He is laughing to Jerome who is in his room helping him unpack then he turns my way. Then opens the glass doors that lead to a balcony. Then freezes.

Oh here we go again.

"HEY KATE I DIDN'T EXPECT TO SEE YOU HERE" Mitch yells

"Mitch shut up you are going to wake up the whole neighborhood" I whisper scream to him.

"I know I just wanted them to know that I'm talking to you and they can't, so you look hot in that bikini babe" he winks

Such a player!

"Yeah we should really turn the air conditioning on it's really hot in this house." I say fanning myself.

We talk for a while until I tell him I am going swimming.

I head down to the pool and go on the diving board.

I look up to see Mitch on his balcony smiling down at me.

I do I flip into the pool.

I am really active and I took like 3 years of gymnastics when I was young. I guess it payed off.

I wave up to him and he smiles and waves down at me too.
