Alam ko kung sino ang sinasabi ni Carlynn. The ways she emphasized the word he... I knew it was him.

I told my friends not to mention his name or anything connected to him anymore. Ayoko ng makarinig ng kahit ano tungkol sa kanya dahil wala na akong pakialam.

"Ano ngayon?" I couldn't hide the irritation in my voice.

"Duh! I'm just informing you, bitter mo naman sa ex mo." she teased.

"Lynn, walang akong pakialam kung bumalik na siya. At mas lalong wala akong pakialam kung hindi na siya bumalik."

"Okay, fine. Sabi mo eh," she lazily replied.  "Sinabi ko lang naman para you won't be shocked kapag nakasalubong mo siya somewhere."

"Makasalubong ko man siya o hindi, nothing will change. It doesn't mean that we are together before so I should greet him as if nothing happened. As if we're okay."

Hindi ko na pinatagal ang pag uusap namin ni Carlynn at pinatay ang cellphone.

Naunang umuwi ang ibang staff kaya kaming dalawa na lang ni Xian ang nagsara ng coffee shop. He offered a lift but I sadly refused. Nasabi kasi ni Trevor na susunduin niya ako.

Xian being himself, accompanied me outside the coffee shop while waiting for Trevor. Pag dating ni Trevor ay umalis din kaagad si Xian. Ang awkward man nang sitwasyon na iyon ay hindi naman mapipigilang mangyari. Isa pa, sinabi ko naman kay Xian na friends lang kami ni Trevor.

"What will you do now?" Trevor asked in the dead silence.

"Ano?" I asked him back. I have a hunch why he asked me that.

Truth was, I didn't know what I would do. It's been four years since I last saw him. For sure engage na siya or kasal na sila ni Theia.

"Vernon," Trevor said. There was this familiar feeling upon hearing his name. 

Anger.

"Wala naman ako kailangang gawin."

"What if he sees you with Muffin?"

"As much as possible, I'll try to avoid him. Iiwas kami ni Magui sa kanya. At isa pa, hindi niya na kailangan pa malaman kung sino talaga si Magui."

He let out an exhale. "Are you sure about that?"

I shifted my gaze to the window, watching the scenery outside the car. "Nang umalis siya, tinanggalan ko na siya ng karapatan malaman kung sino si Magui."

Dinner came and I found myself sitting across Trevor on the table for two in a fine dining restaurant.

The place is cozy and elegant. There's also a band playing instrumental music.

We've decided to have dinner outside. Pagkatapos ay mag ti-take out na lang kami para kay Yaya at Magui.

"Prixther called me earlier," Trevor took my plate and began slicing the steak for me. "Tinatawagan ka daw niya kanina pero hindi ka sumasagot."

Honestly, I am moved with his action... minsan napapaisip akong bigyan siya ng chance.

But I am confused with my feelings. A part of me says give him a chance, while the other part was still hesitant to open my heart again for someone.
