Magkatinginan lang kami ni Avery at parehong hindi alam ang gagawin.
Actually mabait si Lola, pero hindi ko alam kung bakit ganito kami mag react.
"Euri is in the living room, Madame." Yaya politely said to Halmoni.
"How about Lianna and Nathaniel? Are they here?"
"No, Madame. They're at the office."
"Geureol jul arasseo. Just like always." her voice was laced with disappointment.

"Secretary Park, please get my luggage then bring it to my room."

After Secretary Park replied, I started to hear footsteps nearing us.
Hindi na namin hinintay ni Avery si Lola na makapunta sa kung nasaan kami. Sinalubong na namin siya ng makapasok siya kaagad sa sala.
"Omoo! My pretty grand daughters." Lola said, plastered a sweet smile on her face.
"Annyeong hashimnikka, halmoni." Avery and I said in unison, and bow a bit at the same time.

Halmoni closed the distance between us, she gave us a tight hug, happiness was obvious on Lola's face.
It's been a long time since the last time we saw her. Kaya hindi rin namin maipagkakaila na masaya kaming bumisita si Lola.
Medyo may katandaan na siya that's why our parents aren't allowing Lola to go out of the country because of her condition.
Mabuti na lang dahil kahit papaano ay sinama niya si Secretary Park. At least we are assured that she's safe.
"Jal jinaesseo? Oraenmaniya!" she held our hands. And the way she held our hands was just like before. Hindi nagbabago. Halmoni is always making sure to make us feel important. Treassuring all of us, her grandchildren.
She can make us feel love, by just looking on us and holding our hands.

"Urin gwaenchana, halmoni." I paused. "Kayo po?" I asked. She can understand Tagalog too.
*Translation: We're good, grandma.*
"Oh darling, if you just know how bored I am in Korea." she rolled her eyes, just like a teenager does.
Avery chuckled "You're still the same, halmoni."
Lola shrugged her shoulders. "Well... what can I say."
Napailing at natawa na lang kami ni Aki matapos iyon.
Sa huli naging maayos naman ang lahat. Lahat ng pagaalala at kaba namin ni Avery ay nawala din.
And looks like Kuya Prix and I won't be alone this Christmas.
